I have the free yahoo account setup but sometimes when I delete an email a few minutes later it will appear back as a new email. I delete it again and it does the same thing comes right back.
What do I need to do delete email for good from my phone?

I've tried many different email.apk's on the internet trying to get this app back but no luck. Some just don't work and other give a parsing error. have LG Ally 2.1 update-1 and if someone could just give me a copy of the email.apk,I need this for my work and i accidentally deleted it. help me
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with sync/delete working. I just started using G-Mail. I never needed it before (my home and work e-mail was enough). But now i do (looking for a new job and want the e-mails instantly on my phone). when i delete an e-mail on my phone (G-Mail account) it comes back. I use "windows live" as the client on my desktop. it's like they are separate accounts. If i delete something on the desktop, it's still on my phone. If i delete something on the phone, it's still on the desktop my Exchange e-mail account works perfect (when i delete something in outlook, it's deleted on my phone at the same time).

Also, anything I do on my phone doesn't translate to my account online. When I sign in from my laptop, all the messages I deleted from my phone are back. Does anyone have any advice to help fix this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI unthinkingly updated to yahoomail app to 1.2.1 but now it won't functional allow me to reply to livejournal notices. Every time I try to enter a reply in the box, the view jumps so I can't see what I'm typing. Is there anyway to go back to 1.2? Or am I stuck with a phone that won't do what I got it to do?

Ally syncs to check for new emails, and the emails you have read or deleted pop up again as new emails. Extremely frustrating and inconvenient, and was wondering if anyone else has this problem, and if there's a solution. Spoke to LG tech support and their solution was to delete the Aol IMAP account and add it again as a POP3 account, then select the 'Delete From Server' checkbox. (and they're supposedly working on a fix. this problem cropped up after i installed an update in August.) This solution seems to have solved that problem, but now it takes forever for Aol to sync with my Ally; and it drains the battery. I set up GMail to sync up with Aol, but it's not instantaneous. Sometimes i don't get new emails for 30 minutes or more. Not good for business. And the Aol mail mobile web page is slow.

What is important to me is my email.. I want to be able to sync my yahoo account with yahoo mail and the mail on the phone so if i send an email on my phone it will appear in the sent folder on my yahoo mail on the computer and vice versa if you follow... With Android being google will i be able to do this from the phones email client like the iphone does...

When I create an email in the app and "click" in the "to" field and type a letter I get a whole raft of email address suggestions that are not in the contacts. I've looked in my phone contacts and they aren't there. I've looked at Yahoo mail settings and see nothing there. I've gone to the desktop Yahoo mail an tried looking in contacts there and they don't show up. Many of these are addresses of people that I recognize and have probably either sent or received an email from them but certainly never saved them as a contact. I tried long pressing on the suggested address and it highlights it but no options are given. It doesn't happen in my gmail. I've gone to URL...contacts and they don't show up there. I know I should just switch to gmail only but this is an old address that I want to keep active. I have a Moto X with Kitkat. This has followed me from phone to phone.

The stock email apps gives me this error message: Authentication failed. Please verify your username/password.
I know im not putting in the wrong email and password, because I logged into my email just perfectly on the computer. And I am NOT connected to wifi when I try to login
I downloaded yahoo mail. It was working fine until this morning. When i tried to login it gave me an error message SSL certificate-check date and time error
Also on the stock email app, does have the ability to add more than one account? I never been in the stock app because it won't let me log in. I would love to continue using yahoo mail (if it ever starts working again) but I only have about 25mb left of memory. And the reason I prefer to use that app instead of the stock email is because it allows to add more than one account.
I seem to be having issues of not being able to delete my email account off of Sprints mail servers. After I deleted my email account from my phone and cleared any info it saved I still receive notifications of received emails on my phone. How can I stop these annoying notifications?

I don't use gmail app, I use normal email app like normal people who does not want to use 3 different email apps for 3 different accounts, so when I get an e-mail in Gmail and I delete it, it keeps coming back as new e-mail. 1. Enter Yahoo ID and Password (hint, just use your "username", not the whole joeblow@yahoo.com
2. Select Manual Setup
3. Setup IMAP
4. Incoming server is imap.mail.yahoo.com
5. Port is 143
6. Security Type is "TLS (if available)"
7. Leave IMAP path prefix blank
8. Hit next
9. SMTP Server is smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
10. Port is 25
11. Security is again TLS (if available)
12. Check Require sign-in
13. Verify username and password
14. enjoy
To Sync up, you CANNOT be on WiFi (dunno why, maybe Yahoo has a deal with T-Mobile?).One other note: if after rechecking all your settings and it still says "invalid username/password" try going onto your Yahoo Account and change your "Location" to ASIA ! Weird I know, but for some reason, some people can't get this to work with US-English as their Yahoo Locale (not talking about your phone's settings here, all on Yahoo site end!).
I have setup my yahoo account on my droid, and it is working, but is overworking. What is happening is I keep getting the emails over and over no matter how many times I delete them. I dont understand what I am doing wrong. It works but I delete the emails and they come again and again. I had to delete the account to stop the endless loop.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding the mail feature of the Droid. I have three accounts setup. One Gmail, one Yahoo and one Hotmail (yep...I like all flavors).
I can send and receive mail without issue but for some reason with the Yahoo and the Hotmail account, the Droid will seem to pull "old" email back onto the device and mark it as new and light up the indicator. This gives then shows that I have new mail but it really isn't new but it is old, previously read email that has been deleted and pulled back onto the device.
I just got my Captivate the other day and I was wondering if there are any good e-mail apps for gmail, yahoo mail, and hotmail? I've tried each and the stock but either it won't let me add multiple accounts or it doesn't receive the emails even though there are new ones in my inbox when I check it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out whats going on. I have 2 DI for myself and girlfriend. I have my email (gmail and yahoo) setup through the HTC Mail Client and they work fine. I setup my other phone the same way and it worked fine, but once the yahoo account completed the process of downloading the inbox, I got an Authentication Error stating the login was incorrect. The login is not wrong and works fine to login via the standard web page. I tried to delete the Yahoo Account on the HTC, but when I went to setup again I had the same issue. Not sure how or why this could be happening. Any advice is appreciated. Also verified all the yahoo email settings on my working device and they are all the same on the other device with the issue.

Mail app that was recently put in the Market, I have been using the stock mail app to check my Yahoo! mail.Last night when I checked my Yahoo! Mail through the stock mail app, I was getting weird error messages. Most of the time it would go ahead and put me in my Yahoo! inbox but there would also be a message saying "login failed." I would click OK and then go about my business because e-mails were coming through. I figured it would sort itself out at some point.This morning, it was still doing it and it was annoying, so I re-booted the phone. Same problem. So I decided to delete the account and re-install it (a few weeks ago I had some issues with my Exchange mail account and deleting then re-installing fixed them.)Now, when I try to re-install the account it says "Authentication failed. Please verify your username/password." I have tried it over and over. I know I am using the right username and password - I just used them on my desktop PC to get into the account. And my Yahoo! I remember getting this with handcent and default text program but easily shut that off. Can't seem to figure it out with mail. Any ideas how to disable the default mail notifications without deleting the account in the default mail app?
