Jun 11, 2010I accidentally set one of the MP3s which came on the phone as my ringtone. This now continually shows up in my ringtones list, despite no longer being my ringtone.If it was an MP3 I had imported to the ringtones folder on my SD card, I assume I could delete the file from the folder and it would no longer show up on the phone's ringtone list? However, I don't seem to be able to remove this MP3 from my ringtone list on the phone.It shows up on my PC when I connect my Desire via USB, but it's in the MP3 folder and not the ringtone folder.It's not a huge deal, but I'm trying to work out a way of removing it from my ringtone list!

ok so this is what happened......
I downloaded ANDROOT and ROOT EXPLORER. i then went in and deleted some system apps... well i thought google talk was something i didnt want so i deleted it and i deleted some other apps like myspace and others. well i tryed to download something from the marketplace and it wont let me download. i searched it up and found out deleting talk.apk and gtalkservice.apk was causing the problem. i downloaded them and moved them into system/app and the marketplace still dont work and when i turn the phone on i still get the error com.google.process.gapps....

Jan 25, 2010Anyone know if we can delete the ring tones that shipped? I have a terminal emulator installed, so I think that would be the place to start, but am unsure if I can delete anything that's not on the SD card. I'm more worried what may happen if I do this. My reasoning for doing this is that I hate the built in ringtones, and have placed mp3's on the sdcard under /Ringtones and they show up in my Ring tones (no need to use the media player to do so). I have to browse through the ton of crappy tones to select the ones I'd like (obviously this isn't really a space issue, more convenience )

Sep 24, 2010My "New Every 2" comes up on 10/6 and I'll be ordering an LG Ally for myself and my wife. if Verizon has blocked the ability to create custom ringtones and not force you to use their app? With my old RAZR I had to "hack" the registry to get it to work. With my current LG enV2 I had to use a free 3rd-party app (the name escapes me at the moment) in order to add files to the Ringtones folder. I seriosuly doubt that app supports Android phones.

HTC Droid Eris : Way To Delete Out Any Scenes Saved On Phone?
Mar 5, 2010First post here. Been reading for a few weeks and just got my Eris on Sunday. I tried a search for the answer to this question, but came up empty. It probably has been answered before and I just can't find it. Does anyone know the correct way to delete out any scenes that you have saved on the phone? I got over anxious right away with it and ended up having 4 saved scenes on top of the 6 from HTC that are already there. I would like to have just 2 extra ones total and be able to delete out 2 of them. That would give me basically the 6 HTC scenes and then a USer1 and USer 2 type of thing.

- I´m loading about 400 overlays in a mapview, but it takes 2-3 minutes. Is there any way to speed things up?
- On the other hand, I use another overlay to point device gps position, but when location point change i need to delete this overlay to put it again in it's new position. How can i delete this overlay without deleting all the others?

I can't seem to find them in a file mode. I can get to them through choosing a ringtone, but can't delete them, and only 2 of them showed up in the music category. is there anyway to find them in the phone and make them go away??
