HTC EVO 4G :: Sound Of Typing / Rigid Vibration Respond
Jun 9, 2010
When I was typing, there would be rigid vibration respond. However, when I type really fast, there will be another sound other than vibration. It's more like click sound. It's easy to notice since the pitch will be a little higher. just wondering if you guys have same experience? I am somehow concerned about it. It"s a bit Annoying. Also when I try to get the bookmark in the browser, it's kinda laggy.

I know that you can make it so there is NO vibration while you are typing text messages. I had it turned off, but I wiped and now I cannot find where to go in order to turn it off again. This vibrating keyboard is the silliest idea ever, Can someone plz point me to where on the phone I can disable this feature?

So i wanted to see if anyone else has the same issue as me. I have my settings so that my keyboard only vibrates (no sound!) for sending texts BUT it makes a clicking noise sometimes when I press the keys. This is really annoying and no. Hard reset does not help. Has anyone else experienced this. my phone is the HTC Incredible.

I got my HTC Hero a couple of days ago and I can't help but getting a bit annoyed by the fact that whenever I receive a message my phone gives off the double vibrate buzz, followed by most often just a second of silence before the message sound 'pling' goes off. The pause between the vibration buzz seems a bit random and I have experienced it pausing for up to like 10 seconds before a sound plays. I cannot see that this is supposed to happen. What's wrong? My phone has build version 2.73.405.6 (which confuses me a bit since HTC webpages says that the newest build version is 2.73.405.5).

Was just wondering if anyone knew how to turn of the sound and vibration when instant message calls come in?, can't find an option for this anywhere and they are too regular to leave it running whilst at work unless i can switch them off. Also a tip, although it tells you you cannot use over wifi I find it works fine if you disconect the wifi whilst signing in and then reconnect the wifi.

Perhaps stupid but in android 1.6 together with the wifi and gps there was a icon to select the sound on/off/vibration know after update to 2.1 i can't find a fast way to change de sound to off or vibration except via the setting menu.
Is there a widget or perhaps a link so you can put it on one of the screens.

I recently updated my S3 to run Jelly Bean 4.3, and now when I receive a text it both vibrates and plays the notification sound rather than just the notification sound as it used to. I can't seem to find a way to turn this off?

Just wondering if there is anyway to set my phone in such a way that my ring tone will turn off when I open the phone (either unlock/ do anything to the phone). As it is right now my ring tone (a full mp3 song imported from my pc) will play until I drag down my notification bar. I'm using tone picker and handcent sms if it makes any difference.
Also, is there a way to edit the the keyboard input sound when typing with the stock keyboard?

So I have a good amount of contacts in my phone and never do I have a problem with responding to texts even if the person isn't in my phone book. I have one contact that for whatever reason I can't respond to with Handcent. When she texts me I reply normally and it says there's no contact, so I have to go into the stock program and talk to her thru it. Has anyone else experienced this before? honestly if it was someone I talked to regularly I would have to go back to stock but I rarely talk to this person but when I do it's kind of annoying, and I forget and start using handcent so I always have to cut and paste things.

I dropped my galaxy s3 in the sink, its completely dry now but my screen won't respond. I tried to reset by pressing the power, volume-up and home keys at the same time then releasing all three buttons as soon as the Samsung logo appeared, but the option to reset never appeared. The phone just vibrates every few seconds and the screen stays black.

When I'm on a call my phone's screen goes off and stays off, and NONE of the buttons work - power button, volume, home, menu, back, search nothing. The call is still going through and I can talk and hear just fine, it's that nothing else works on the phone. I can't even hang up on the call.I have to wait for the other caller to hang up first.I've installed Keepscreen, adjusted display settings, and have done a hard reset. It still behaves the same. Any ideas?

I am creating a context menu in separate class from the listview, because the contextmenu will be access by several listviews in different classes. Whenever I long-click the listview, contextmenu pops up, but nothing happens when the options were chosen. Tried to look at logcat message and it said something like this:
Window already focused, ignoring focus gain of: com.android.internal.view.IInputMethodClient$Stub$Proxy@43c488f8
Any idea what really causing this problem? cause it works perfectly fine if i put the contextmenu on the same class as listview.

I like many of you have been waiting for months to get my hands on the epic. However when I bought one, the battery life was insanely unusable even after 4-5 days. So I finally returned it for a new on. Well find out over the next few days how the battery performs. But the new one has capacitive buttons that barely respond to touch. Particularly the home key and menu key. I've read of a bunch of people having similar problems. Are we just a few unlucky people who happen to be on the forums, or is Samsung having serious Quality control issues here?
