HTC EVO 4G :: Sound Of Typing / Rigid Vibration Respond
Jun 9, 2010When I was typing, there would be rigid vibration respond. However, when I type really fast, there will be another sound other than vibration. It's more like click sound. It's easy to notice since the pitch will be a little higher. just wondering if you guys have same experience? I am somehow concerned about it. It"s a bit Annoying. Also when I try to get the bookmark in the browser, it's kinda laggy.

It deletes your pictures, videos, and movies. Just an FYI in a more prime location since not everyone reads the troubleshooting forum.

May 9, 2010Just wondering if there is anyway to set my phone in such a way that my ring tone will turn off when I open the phone (either unlock/ do anything to the phone). As it is right now my ring tone (a full mp3 song imported from my pc) will play until I drag down my notification bar. I'm using tone picker and handcent sms if it makes any difference.
Also, is there a way to edit the the keyboard input sound when typing with the stock keyboard?
Motorola Droid X :: Lost Stereo Sound
Sep 9, 2010I have a rooted 2.2 and it has been flawless until I noticed today that I am barely getting any sound out of one channel. I have tried multiple headsets and multiple sources (Slacker, Pandora, Audible, ect) One channel is barely noticable. Is there a setting someplace? Has anyone else come across this? I do not want to return the phone since it is just about perfect and I dont want to mess with SBF.

Nov 2, 2010I am currently trying to create a cuckoo clock widget in which I am facing problem with updating the pendulum sound each second. My pendulum has to keep on ticking each second with sound effects integrated. I am doing update every second and I am able to play the sound using
mPlay = MediaPlayer.create(context, R.raw.chime); mPlay.start();
But after about 30 seconds, the sound stops playing giving the log error as follows:
E/AudioTrack( 2106): AudioFlinger could not create track, status: -12 E/AudioSink( 2106): Unable to create audio track E/VorbisPlayer( 2106): mAudioSink open failed
Then again the same sound starts playing after a pause of about 20 seconds instead of getting played each second. It continues in this fashion of playing the sound file for some seconds, then to the pause state and then again playing from start. This problem doesn't come into picture when I'm trying to update the sound on hourly basis for my hourly chime because in that case only once every hour this sound is played, same is the case for updation every minute. This problem arises only for updating the sound each second. What is the reason behind this delay?

No ringers, no audio in videos, no touch tones, nothing. All the ringers are turned up, it's NOT on silent mode.
I can however talk on the phone, the ear piece works. Mic works too.

I am wondering if all heroes have the lag inside the browser while typing such as typing in this forum or on yahoo mail etc etc. I use the stock browser and i dont want dolphin or steel. if not all heroes have this lag inside the browser than I shall exchange mine and try a new unit as I am well inside my thirty days, I am 200 percent happy with everything else on the phone. oh and btw I have sound/hepatic/predictive all turned off while experiencing the typing lag in the browser.

Part 2 of this question: My phone is running on 1.5, and I've heard people saying that 2.1 is now widely available for the non-Sprint Hero, and being "pushed" in most parts of the world. (I purchased my phone in the states, and brought to Israel this week where I'm now using it.) I don't have any particular service for it other than regular cellphone service with a Cellcom SIM card. Is there a way I can actively download the 2.1 to my phone, or do I just have to "wait"?

Feb 14, 2010Last week I replaced my Treo 750 with a Hero. After spending 5 hours I converted my contacts into the Hero. I have also installed a couple of apps. I just checked the phone specifics:

Software version 1.44.557.2
I assume this phone needs updating, right. Question is- what about the apps installed and contact list? Can I back them up somewhere?

Jun 29, 2010Rooted my HTC Hero a few weeks back but ran into a few problems so reverted back to the original ROM. Now when I try to update the phone to 2.1, it restarts and says "Verification Signature failed". Any ideas how I would I get around this?

Feb 25, 2010Had my Hero (T-mobile branded G2...) since release day, but in the last week or so I've had a few issues. Firstly, Gmail isn't synchronising regularly. Sometimes mail comes through instantly, sometimes it doesn't update for a day or more (if I open the Gmail app and "Refresh" it pulls the new mails down). I can't think of anything I've installed that could cause this (all i've installed in the last week are a few soundboards)Secondly, if I go into Market and try to either install a new app, or update an existing one, it sticks on "Starting download..." until I connect to Wifi (then downloads the app immediately). Is there a problem with the Market at the moment, or is this more likely to be a network issue?

Anyways, I put in my first stop and GMaps gave me the directions right away... so no problem.After I was done at the first place, I put in my second stop. GMaps showed exactly the same directions . I've been home now for about 1/2 and still, the exact same directions no matter what I put in.I have not turned the phone off/on or anything like that, because quite frankly, I shouldn't have to!Anyone get this happening with GMaps?
