I am using the stock messaging program on my new Droid2. When I receive a picture message and I click on the picture to enlarge it. It only stays big for a few seconds and then minimizes again. How do I keep it large? Also, How do I save the pictures? I can't seem to save the pictures anywhere.

View 2 Replies View RelatedGo into your phone contacts and pick a contact you have texted. On the open field below the contact, slide to the right and you will see a list of every text message you have sent and received from that person even if you deleted the messages!
Delete contact and re-enter the contact.
Supposedly to be fixed with an update?

I recently started having an issue when I try to save a picture from a picture message on handcent. I cannot see the picture in my gallery only until I reboot the phone. With the regular droid messaging program, the pictures appear right away. I am not sure if this is an issue since I am now running 2.2 on my droid. Anybody else having the same issue.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI went to text someone today, and for what ever reason, the message failed to send, and I received the "Message not sent" notification. I tried again, and the message was sent. Now every time I send, or receive a message that notification pops up. "Message not sent - Select to review the message and try again" and when I open the error message, it triggers another to appear. "Undelivered message - Unable to Deliver this message" even though all the txts have been confirmed to go through. This is driving me crazy, any one have any thoughts? It even gives me the message when I open an old text that I have already read.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had the HTC Desire Z, so, I think it's not related to Droid 4, but it's Android specific.
However, whenever I try to set a background image, this one is always enlarged, coming out the edges, no matter what its size is, while I expect it to fit the display, even deformed, just as when I set a desktop image on my PC. That's what happened for example with my old Nokia N82: the image was scaled to fit the display.
I even tried to set an image of the exact resolution of the display (540 x 960), but it was always enlarged. So, is actually there a way to put a background image so that if fits the display and is not enlarged?
All the pics I receive by MMS are tiny and apparently only 1kb in size. If I 'open' the pic, it can be stretched a bit, but being only 1kb, the resolution is terrible! I am on O2, but don't know if that's the problem?

I can send a pic through them, but when the person responds to the text, its says download, I press that and its unable to DL it says. My friend sent a pic twice on handcent, the same one, and it came through the second time only. Sometimes no pic will work at all. With hancent it resizes automatic, thats great, but still the same issue. Man I love everything about this phone but this is really annoying.

View 8 Replies View RelatedAlright...here is the final solution to the Droid Eris picture message issues! My phone was giving me a gray "download" box when I got a MMS picture message from ANYONE. I clicked the button and it does nothing but give me an error message.
I went into Verizon with this problem and they admitted to me that there is a KNOWN problem in the HTC Droid Eris line. The early models of the Eris have a hardware problem. HTC was so focused on getting their 3G data right, that they skipped an essential part of the 1x data where MMS picture messages come through over all networks.
Basically, I asked the Verizon rep why they didn't tell any of us users who purchased the Eris from the earliest models and they told me that it was an HTC error, not theirs. All they can do is replace the phone to one of the newer models. I just had this done, and it works perfectly. They could have easily contacted all users with the Eris and said that HTC had a problem instead of leaving us to figure it out on our own. They could have provided good customer service and decided not to do so!!
This is the only solution and the Verizon rep knew about the problem and was very helpful. I told him that I was going to post this online, telling ALL users who purchased the early models of the Eris (I got mine in late-November) to take it into Verizon and have a replacement ordered.
All of my paid apps transferred, contacts transferred, pictures transferred, etc...just had to set up my scenes again and download my free apps again...not a big deal!

Also are there any apps out there that will let me download full length mp3's? And did I get a bad battery or does the HTC Eris battery only last a couple hours? Also my phone is an HTC droid eris. Oh and one last question i heard that the eris will be updated from android 1.5 to 2.0 Will that be a software update that I will be able to do with my 2 day old eris when The update comes out?

I kept getting this pop up screen whenever I received message. The pop up screen is so big that my message will be displayed and anyone can read it. I have searched everywhere on the setting to turn this off, I also called the support and they cannot help me. The pop up screen has the sender phone number, the message, a sunglass and hello message. At the bottom, it has reply, dismiss or replay with a busy message. I am using nexus 1. It is very irritating to just keep getting the poop up without any privacy.
