I have the Motorola Razor Maxx on the Verizon network. Recently have received text messages I could not download. doesn't state why just "message size: 30KB" ask if I want to download or reject. When I try to download I get the same message "failed to download" is there a setting to change file sizes allowed or something else I'm missing.

I keep getting the message after every text I send saying SMS received. Tracking has been reset. Not only do I get this message but so do the recipients of my messages. This has only started since I upgraded to Kitkat. I've tried googling it and even spent an hour on the phone with O2 but not had any luck. How I can stop it on my Galaxy S4.

I downloaded the SNEsoid app, been playing ROMs on my computer for awhile now, but every time I download a ROM, <removed> being my main, I get the error message, load ROM failed, please try another file. Last night my phone suddenly stopped picking up some of my text messages. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace and I have never had this problem before - I've had the phone for about 6 months now. It comes up with a notification that I have a message, and as normal when I drag down the notification bar it will let me preview the first line of the text. However when I go to my inbox it isn't there; likewise my sent messages haven't saved in the conversation.
The thing is, this is only an issue with two of my contacts; I have been sending and receiving texts from other people it's just these two and they both have i phones - could this be something to do with it?
I am not using any 3rd party messaging apps either like handcent. I just use the messaging service that the phone came with.
I said I've never had this issue before and out of the blue it's not showing my texts! It's driving me nuts.
My problem is this, I downloaded Handcent and really like it, however, I can't send messages from home. I have marginal service here (around -98 avg.) but I do get 3G. Whenever I send a message it says Message Failed - Retry, Cancel? I've even had this problem in places with great coverage for both 3G and cell service. The stock messaging app works just fine. So what I've been doing is receiving messages with Handcent and then sending them using the stock app.
So, does anyone have any ideas of what I can do? Are there any settings that can be changed? Does handcent use 3G to send messages?
I'm now trying Chomp to see if that's any better. And, just an FYI, I'm having trouble with text messages, not MMS. I haven't tried sending any pics or videos yet, I've just been sending SMS.
I'm modding my Mms.apk and I've added some speech bubbles etc. I want to place the avatar pic on the bottom of the layout, not on the top. I've tried diferent android:layout_gravity="bottom" but I haven't solved my problem...

View 1 Replies View Relatedi've got a droid razr maxx running jb 4.1.2. at one point i had maxed out the storage space on both the SD card and the ~8gb of internal phone memory, so as i went to make a download i got a little error up top that said the download failed due to insufficient memory. i took care of the problem and completed the download, but ever since then that little !-in-triangle status has been up top on my status bar, always popping up atop the list of alerts that come up when i pull the top menu down. clicking on it sends me to my downloads page, so i've sorted out all of the filenames even remotely similar to that one and deleted them from the downloads page....
i can power off the phone, reboot it.... no matter what that status informing me that the download failed due to insufficient memory won't go away.....
I have noticed in the text message app if I create a new message and click the icon button next to enter recipient to choose a contact from my contacts there are contacts from just about everyone who has emailed me on my gmail account! This is not ideal at all.. I Would like just the contacts in my phone to be available. How do I remove all of those gmail contacts.

I've tried a factory reset, but no luck.
Sometimes when I receive messages it makes the notification sound and will show message in notification bar but the text of the message will not appear in the text thread. Used to happen every once in a while, now doing it multiple times a day. I use Handcent but I doubt that is the problem because the messages dont show up in the regular messaging either. Just want to see if i am alone with this problem.

I kept getting this pop up screen whenever I received message. The pop up screen is so big that my message will be displayed and anyone can read it. I have searched everywhere on the setting to turn this off, I also called the support and they cannot help me. The pop up screen has the sender phone number, the message, a sunglass and hello message. At the bottom, it has reply, dismiss or replay with a busy message. I am using nexus 1. It is very irritating to just keep getting the poop up without any privacy.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'd found a way to see all of my text messages which had a "failed" status on them, and I was able to delete them from that list. But now I'm looking at my phone and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do it!
Basically, for one of my texting threads, there's a red triangle with an exclamation point icon, next to the paperclip icon for that thread. I'd really just like to know if there's a way to find the text responsible for this error so that the icon doesn't show up next to the contact's name anymore? I'm using an LG Lucid with Android version 4.0.4, and my guess is that probably since that update whatever option I'd used to find the failed texts has either moved or was taken out.
I can see the option for Notifications and Ringtones but neither of these change the text message received tone. Where is the option and can I use MP3/Ringdroid files?

How do i dasable the standard HTC app as i seem to get a notification on both. Also i have moved the handcent app to the home screen but it does not display a numerical display of a received text message (on the app icon) which i liked on the standard app. Is there a way to get it to do this?
