May 26, 2010I've been having a problem with my desire home screen (in particular the sms icon) and I'm wondering if anyone else knows how to fix it.
Recently my messages icon has been showing the little "1" in a green circle indicating I have an unread message. Problem is, I've gone through every list of messages I have on the device and there are no messages I haven't read and the "1" stays there. The only ways I've found to get rid of it are to either delete the icon and then put it back or to use Advance Task Killer and kill messages application. I'm not using any fancy apps for messages, just the default one.
My email counter is always perfect, this only seems to affect my sms. Also, my girlfriend told me she sent me a message a few days ago, but I never received it. Not sure if that's a happy coincidence, or if the phone got the message, is telling me I haven't read it, but isn't displaying it for me to see. All the other messages from her are plainly visible.

Oct 23, 2013So 60% of the time I try to text I start texting and nothing shows up in the message box. the letters don't show. I have to back out of he messaging and use the task manager to end the application.

May 8, 2010I just noticed that the Incredible now says "will be shipped by 5/29". I'm curious as to when you guys ordered and received the phone. I saw a couple of posts saying they ordered one day and got it the next, despite the shipping delay message. I will be ordering my phone in a few hours and I really hope I get lucky and find it at my door in a few days.

Recently have received text messages I could not download. doesn't state why just "message size: 30KB" ask if I want to download or reject. When I try to download I get the same message "failed to download" is there a setting to change file sizes allowed or something else I'm missing.

Dec 17, 2009I think this has been posted before but I haven't found an answer yet. I'm using the one-day calender widget. When I have an all day event, it shows the wrong date. For instance, I have a all day event on the 18th; today is the 16th and it's showing the event as being tomorrow.
Anyone else have this problem and find a fix yet?
I'm affraid I'll show up at the wrong place a day early or a day late...

Nov 14, 2011I switched recently from a black berry to an Android 2.3 powered device - Samsung Stratosphere on Verizon.
Email invite messages from Outlook for meetings do not show the calendar detail. Specifically, I can not see the date and time of the meeting invitations. I can perform actions to "Accept", "Decline", or Tentative" the meeting invitation. Unfortunately, there isn't any meeting detail so I don't know when the meeting is scheduled.
This is very frustrating and makes the Samsung Stratosphere or possibly the Android platform not fit for corporate environments. If I can not get this to work I will be switching to an iPhone and I will recommend to my entire corporate enterprise that we avoid Android based Smart Devices.
The Black Berry BEZ environment also provided information on meeting conflicts when you are sent a meeting invitation.

Android : Pop Up Screen Whenever Received Message
Aug 19, 2010I kept getting this pop up screen whenever I received message. The pop up screen is so big that my message will be displayed and anyone can read it. I have searched everywhere on the setting to turn this off, I also called the support and they cannot help me. The pop up screen has the sender phone number, the message, a sunglass and hello message. At the bottom, it has reply, dismiss or replay with a busy message. I am using nexus 1. It is very irritating to just keep getting the poop up without any privacy.

She has chosen to just put contacts in People manually and link them to Google and Facebook manually, which is fine, but when she goes to call or message someone, the phone brings up all of the contacts on her phone (e.g. the Google and Facebook ones) rather than just those stored in People. This is really annoying as it means she has to scroll through loads of people she'll never want to call/text. We've tried going to Accounts & Sync and unsyncing contacts but that hasn't worked. Any suggestions?
