View 1 RepliesWhen I had my Voyager, I could use my bluetooth earpiece to talk on the phone, and also get the audio from the Navigation to come through the earpiece. I was surprised tonight that when I was using my GPS on the Droid it didn't come through my earpiece which resulted in me turning my radio down significantly so I could hear the phone.
I also have a stereo bluetooth headphones that I already paired and see the icon on the screen, but when I play a video or some music, it doesn't come through the headphones. Its still coming out of the Droid's phone speakers. Its showing that it is connected in my notifications bar too.
is it just me or does the droid not like my bluetooth headset? its paired and everything and the phone is connected but the headset is not being used. i tried accessing the voice dial on my headset and nothing happens i try calling someone on my droid and the sound comes out of the speakers not the headset.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat's the symbol on top that looks like an oldschool bluetooth headset with waves coming out of it? I don't have my bluetooth on.
View 17 Replies View RelatedSo I have the full version. I looked around and didn't see an answer. First off, I can't find a contact for the dev, or a FAQ on how to use it. I have had it for a few months and everything is great, but now when I am on the phone in the car on the dock and on my BT, I unclip the phone and it should change to my profile that still has the BT enabled. For some reason, my call screen is still blue (BT), but the handset engages and the bluetooth cuts out.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Android 2.0 SDK. Is it possible to direct the TTS engine's output to a connected BT headset? I've tried with KEY_PARAM_STREAM set to all of the available stream types but the speech is still output by the speaker on the phone.

I didn't find an API to detect if a Bluetooth A2DP is connected. Can somebody point me out how to check? It looks like if I route audio to Bluetooth A2DP without check, the sound will be routed anyway, and the speaker is turned off.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere has been one thread talking about Bluetooth headsets and it did not receive many replies. There have been a zillion threads about the Moment's difficulty in connecting via Bluetooth ("Paired but not connected").
If your Bluetooth headset works great with the Moment (e.g. connects consistently, good sound quality, etc.) Please post the manufacturer and model in this thread. Likewise, if your headset stinks, that is probably good information also, so post that too.
Lately, I have had a lot of issues with my bluetooth headphones (won't start on the countless other issues). Out of no where it will stop working; so I go into my bluetooth settings and the headset says it is still connected.... (not the issue)
The issue is when I try disconnecting then re-connecting, the message "Headset is disconnected" appears and will not go away under any circumstance. It stays there when going back to the home page, putting the phone to sleep and back on, everywhere, even when reconnected!
The only way to get the message to go away is powering off the phone. I have repeated this several times with the same results 100% of the time.
My Xperia X10 play the ringing sound in external speakers and headphones when I have the headset connected. The same happens when I use headphones and car navigation, the sound coming out of the external speaker and headset simultaneously. If I use Bluetooth or regular headphones, the experience is the same.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am a new SE user and am still getting to grips with using the phone's features. Could anyone advise how to transfer a call from a headset back to the phone and phone to headset? Whilst I am asking inane questions, is it possible to use the phone i.e. return to menu when in a call?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am writing an android app for storing and managing voice memos with some basic metadata and tagging.
When recording sound I use:
CODE:...................
This works well when using the phone in a normal fashion. However, it does not detect the presence of a bluetooth headset and still uses the phone's own microphone even when the headset is plugged in.
I also tried using MediaRecorder.AudioSource.DEFAULT, hoping it would automatically choose the correct source, but then no sound was recorded at all.
How can I a) detect if a bluetooth headset is plugged in and/or b) use a bluetooth headset as audio source for the media recorder?
Is it possible to map he sound to a connected BT-Headset ? Actual i am using a X2G from Pearl (2.2.1) with a Motorola BT-Headset. Pairing and connecting is working well, but -off course- no sound appears on the headset. I am using IVT, all other devices like Handy, NB etc. will work fine with filetransfer,DUN, etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a setting or an app to better control what sound goes to my Bluetooth headset? I've got a Jabra Extreme, but I've not been able to find a method to have just voice go out.
Frequently I'll be in the car, and even when I have the Incredible plugged into my car stereo, it still puts music out through my Bluetooth connection and not the headphone jack. Under Bluetooth settings it says "Jabra Extreme Connected to phone and media audio", but there doesnt seem to be a way to say no no bad droid, phone only.
This seems to be the exact opposite problem all the posts I found searching had
I have midnight bowling installed, and when I play it works, but when I stop (press home button) I get the game sound after a while, so it is still running in the background. There is no exit button in this game, so how do I stop it then? cause it's eating my battery alive :-)

It's take the form of a widget with a on/off switch. The apps is at 1 (I need the money to set a humanity project in Madagascar, so, it's will probably became free later). It's work on HTC Desire 2.2, and maybe on others devices. Please, report if so QR Code... View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my winmo device, I was able to use my laptop as a bluetooth headset. Unfortunately my Desire does not not seem to recognize my laptop as having the functionality.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHope someone on the forum can help, as I don't know anything about the possibilities with bluetooth. I need some way of answering the phone while driving. Existing car stereo has external jack input, so I use the Desire as my sat nav / ipod, plugging it into the stereo via two 3.5mm jacks. Thinking of buying a bluetooth headset to let me answer phonecalls. My question is, would this work with the above set up? Or would it try and send the output via the "headphones" jack to the car stereo? Car stereo does not have bluetooth. Just the aux input from the phone (sat nav / music). I don't want the music / sat nav to play into my ear, just phonecalls. I know this is expecting a lot - but is it possible to do?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have searched but cannot find an answer to this. I have a friend who has an older android phone, I think it is a vodaphone branded phone, he has the ability to turn on bluetooth and if a connection is not made within a short time bluetooth automatically turns off and it also turns off if it is not connected for a short period. Sounds ideal if you want to connect to a head unit (bluetooth enabled car radio).I have seen such an app for android but it was only for Andriod 1.5 (or 1.6) and not any version newer than that - is there such a thing for 2.1 and 2.2 in the future?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently aquired a HTC Desire froom T-Mobile UK and one of the first things i did was to pair the headset with phone. All went well up to the point of using it to liten to music and video(a2dp), alas that did not work.
Making phone calls work, and strangely enough controling playback of media via the headset (avrcp), but no other audio routed through the headset. I tried a second a2dp headset and it was the same issue. They work perfectly on my other phones for years, the Desire is the first to have this problem.
- So could it be T-Mobile or HTC forgot/screwed-up the a2dp profile?
- Do i have a faulty handset? everything works well.
- Am I doing something wrong somewhere? I went throught the user guide a few times just to be sure.
Have just purchased the Jabra Clipper to use with my Desire as it is deemed compatible. It paired instantly and the sound was awesome. However, it is diving me mad as the headset keeps loosing the signal, sometimes totally and it is supposed to have a 10m range. I look like a plum holding my phone in front of me I am sure it is not the headset.

View 3 Replies View RelatedNot as obvious as you might think. Hubby is deaf on one side, and is looking for a music/phone bluetooth headset.
I don't really mean a headset, i guess i mean an ear piece.
Probably going to be used mostly for music, so good controls and sound quality is most important.
