My speaker just started sounding baffled like it is blown. I inspected the area around it and all appears okay, doesn't look like its torn. Anyone have this issue? Thinking of taking in for a defect exchange (had since day one). And I don't listen to music/videos with the volume cranked up.

I've been having a little problem with the alarm on my EVO. I have an alarm set for early a.m. Usually I don't wake up from the sound of the alarm until it's been going off for about 3 minutes or so (I'm a heavy sleeper) So here is my problem: I wake up with the buzz of the alarm going off but I can find no way to disable the sound. I go into the clock menus and I can find nothing. I usually have to shut the phone off which makes no sense to me... How do I disable the alarm after it's been sounding for 3 minutes?
View 19 Replies View RelatedI've Had my Eris for about 3 weeks now and I absolutely love it but, my notifications just stopped sounding. I've seen this brought up in different forums but I have yet to see any answers. I'm wondering If anyone is currently or has recently had this same problem if so how did you fix it? Or is it still going on.
Also I've made sure that I do have notifications set to sound, they just don't, it just vibrates. I've even thought that I wasn't giving the phone enough time to sound but after seeing the trackball light up i let it sit to see if it will eventually sound and it never does.
Does a text to speech exist that sounds like megatron from transformers? Or optimus prime? Just something uber cool like that?

I set up my google voice today but i really have no idea to use it. I didn't elect to do the google number thing. I really don't want to get my house calls on my cell phone. Maybe I'm missing something about it?
My real question is with the voicemail part. So I now have this crazy area code number to call to access my voicemail. I'm guessing that cost some money. How do people work around that?
Also, i see people discussing about calling with GV. That probably comes with a droid app?
Just loaded up CyanogenMod6 RC3 last night and since then my phone has frozen twice. I'm on the 2.xx radio not the 2.15. Should I up the radio? Or is the freezing a known issue with CM6?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been playing around with the new voice commands in Froyo (Sending Txts, Calls, etc.), and I've noticed that while the feature is cool in theory, it seems to fail in practice. To be more specific, the Voice software can't seem to recognize any name that isn't John Smith, David Samuels, etc.
As an example, I have repeated tried to use it to text a friend of mine who's name is Ryanna (pronounced like the singer). I have tried using "Ree-ahna", "Ree-anna", "Rye-anna", "Rye-ahna", and other methods of pronouncing it, but all of them fail. The software doesn't even bother to take a guess!
Is there any way to "train" the software to better recognize names?
My wifes Incredible started shifting the home screen to the right without any touching. When its centered the screen begins swiping to the right as if a finger was there. In "all programs" it starts highlighting apps as if I was touching them but I am not. I have tried G-sensor calibration, keyboard calibration, restarts and the closing of apps but cant find where the trouble lies. Is it possible the touchscreen is now defective?

Battery out resets did not fix it. I did a complete data reset and it returned to normal. Anyone else experience this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure the engineers who build these phones are quite brilliant individuals, and certainly, at least one of them has figured out by now that, "Hey, if we put the speaker on the back of the phone, the sound is going to be muffled when the phone rings!"So I'm just curious if there is some logistical/technical reason why this is done? I figure it would be much better design-wise to put the speaker on the front, or maybe even on the bottom. Other than not being able to see the screen in direct sunlight, this is the only real gripe I have about the phone thus far.Also, do you guys lay the phone face down when not using it, assuming you'd otherwise sleep right through the phone ringing when sitting on its back?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI couldn't hear the music play at max volume on my Incredible at work (noisy environment). Was disappointing coming from a raggedy BB Storm 1. But then I did something to it and the volume incresed... about 25% higher from the max setting that I had. I can now hear it while I am working. I tested this method on the Pandora. It worked every time.
Here is how:
1. Play music (from whatever app you use)
2. Hit the home key
3. Open Voice Search (Programs key if you don't have it on your home screen).
4. Done.
I have a car stereo with bluetooth.I don't want to start a debate about sound quality of the music through Bluetooth.What I would like to know is if anyone has figured out how to get the music to go through the bluetooth speaker WHILE having the navigation go through the phone speaker.For me that is the optimal situation and would hopefully not have the Navigation interrupt the music instead allow them to both be going on at once.

I received a phone call today and couldn't hear anything. Like the person on the other end muted their phone. Now the kicker, if I put the phone on Speakerphone I can hear the caller just fine (as fine as pre 2.2). I looked around and haven't been able to find any reference to this.
Is there any software/os updates to fix my cam from freezing every other picture? and my speaker phone is no louder then my ear piece (ringers & music are loud)

Now, I took one of those MP3s and set it as my ring tone. I turned the ringtone volume all the way up and when I got a call, it's like half the volume as it played as an MP3.
Why do I lose so much volume? Is there any way to make that louder?
Anyone else experiencing a buzzing noise in the speaker during calls? The internal speaker, not the speakerphone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn Friday I got my Froyo upgrade, and since then everything is fine except I discovered that when on calls I can no longer hear anything through the internal speaker... the only way to hear anything is by switching to speakerphone.
Any idea what has caused this? Is my hardware busted?
I have an HTC Incredible, and when it is connected to my Panasonic TH1211B home phone via bluetooth, the speaker phone is disabled. The ear speaker works fine, but the speaker phone shuts down until I un-pair the bluetooth link.
