HTC Incredible :: Don't Get Little Green Circles
Sep 1, 2010I have used the full page People widget since day one. Now that I have FROYO, I don't get the little green circles that tells me a contact has updated something like their Facebook Status.

May 12, 2010Anyone notice 2 circles on the HTC Incredible by the Verizon logo? If you look closely on the left side by teh Verizon logo there are 2 small holes that looks like the led light but a little bigger. Looks like one a photo sensor and the other what is that? Can it be a facing camera? I don't know if someone has already answer this but I just noticed it now :-)

Jun 23, 2010I'm sure the engineers who build these phones are quite brilliant individuals, and certainly, at least one of them has figured out by now that, "Hey, if we put the speaker on the back of the phone, the sound is going to be muffled when the phone rings!"So I'm just curious if there is some logistical/technical reason why this is done? I figure it would be much better design-wise to put the speaker on the front, or maybe even on the bottom. Other than not being able to see the screen in direct sunlight, this is the only real gripe I have about the phone thus far.Also, do you guys lay the phone face down when not using it, assuming you'd otherwise sleep right through the phone ringing when sitting on its back?

Android :: Loop To Draw All Of The Circles?
Feb 24, 2010I' trying to complete an assignment. I need to be able to draw circles with the canvas in Android and also draw the ten previous circles while my finger moves. I have saved the coordinates in an arraylist and tried to use a for loop to draw all of the circles. Here is my code, I'm just looking for suggestions not answers if anyone has any. I will attach my code. Right now it only draws one circle at a time.

May 24, 2010Is it just my phone, I was just on the phone with someone that was on a landline, I noticed it was a little garbly (is that a word LOL) and a little hard to understand, almost like the beginning of each word was cutting off, I decided to put him on speaker phone so I can write stuff down and the phone call was now crystal clear. Anyone else notice that their speaker phone sounds better then if they are not on speaker phone?

Jun 11, 2010I couldn't hear the music play at max volume on my Incredible at work (noisy environment). Was disappointing coming from a raggedy BB Storm 1. But then I did something to it and the volume incresed... about 25% higher from the max setting that I had. I can now hear it while I am working. I tested this method on the Pandora. It worked every time.
Here is how:
1. Play music (from whatever app you use)
2. Hit the home key
3. Open Voice Search (Programs key if you don't have it on your home screen).
4. Done.
HTC Incredible :: Navigation On Phone Speaker / Music On Bluetooth?
Jun 3, 2010I have a car stereo with bluetooth.I don't want to start a debate about sound quality of the music through Bluetooth.What I would like to know is if anyone has figured out how to get the music to go through the bluetooth speaker WHILE having the navigation go through the phone speaker.For me that is the optimal situation and would hopefully not have the Navigation interrupt the music instead allow them to both be going on at once.

Aug 4, 2010Just put the latest ROM on my phone last night and rooted. I was all excited adding my apps back and setting the phone up that I neglected to test the phone.
I received a phone call today and couldn't hear anything. Like the person on the other end muted their phone. Now the kicker, if I put the phone on Speakerphone I can hear the caller just fine (as fine as pre 2.2). I looked around and haven't been able to find any reference to this.

Aug 15, 2010I put some MP3s on my Inc and the audio player plays them fine and they're pretty loud coming out of the speaker.
Now, I took one of those MP3s and set it as my ring tone. I turned the ringtone volume all the way up and when I got a call, it's like half the volume as it played as an MP3.
Why do I lose so much volume? Is there any way to make that louder?
Android :: Draw Cupola Circles At Random Positions
Jun 15, 2010I am trying to draw a cupola circles at random positions in an Android application. I draw them on a bitmap and then draw that bitmap on the canvas. This is the function where a draw the circles:

The Bitmap b is global. And after calling this function I just draw the bitmap in the onDraw method. Now the problem is that I only get one circle drawn on the screen, no matter the size of numOfCircles.

Mar 19, 2014I finally updated my nexus after seeing it in my notification column. All seemed okay so let it get on with it.But when I thought it was ready I cannot get further than the four moving coloured circles. I have tried to factory reset and delete cache but has made no changes. I have been in contact with google play who now say there is no more actions that can be done so will need replacement.

Aug 14, 2010What is the simplest way to draw pixels, lines and circles on a View?I want to move a cross cursor around, so nothing particularly intensive.I thought I could extend SurfaceView and add it to an XML and it would just work, but it just appears black, however, when I look at the layout view of localmap.xml in eclipse, the graphics appear as expected. Any ideas? My onDraw is never called on the emulator, and even calling invalidate on the class makes no difference. I shall keep trying but can anyone see anything I've missed? or is there a better way entirely? Code...

Google automatically created a group in my contacts file (url....) called "Circles." It contains everyone in my Google+ circles. Problem is that when I sync my contacts file on Android, it pulls all of these contacts (2,000+) onto my phone. The contacts application allows me to filter them (so they don't display), but these contacts (with their thumbnail images) consume over 30MB of precious storage space on my phone! Note I do NOT have Google+ installed on my phone (memory issue). If I delete that group from my contacts, my understanding is those people will be removed from my Google+ circles.
How can I stop this group from downloading? I will never email or call any of these people and this is making my phone almost unusable (memory issues), if I can't resolve then I'll probably be forced to delete my circles in Google+. Don't want to do that but it's more important that my phone works...
