On Friday I got my Froyo upgrade, and since then everything is fine except I discovered that when on calls I can no longer hear anything through the internal speaker... the only way to hear anything is by switching to speakerphone.
Any idea what has caused this? Is my hardware busted?

IDK if anybody else has done this yet, but I have already somehow managed to bust the external speaker on the back. It is horrible. Just wondering if anyone else has done this yet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust put the latest ROM on my phone last night and rooted. I was all excited adding my apps back and setting the phone up that I neglected to test the phone.
I received a phone call today and couldn't hear anything. Like the person on the other end muted their phone. Now the kicker, if I put the phone on Speakerphone I can hear the caller just fine (as fine as pre 2.2). I looked around and haven't been able to find any reference to this.
I haven't updated yet but it sounds like there is a lot of problems. I have a stock droid x no changes. Will I have. The problems.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI got my "dinc" in early August with 2.1 onboard and recieved the OTA froyo upgrade about two weeks ago. I like 2.2 (I think) but not all the battery-vampire crap-apps that came with it. I desparately want to root so that I can explore the full potential of this phone and hopefully find some options to extend my battery and get rid of the bloatware.
Unrevoked's website says v3.2 has been temporarily pulled and to use v2.2 "in the meantime". I've tried several of the methods that call for 3.2 using 2.2 and it seems to work up to the reboot step towards the end. Each time I get this "failed to flash recovery image" message. I've followed every detail of several videos and posts (including one from this forum) instructing how to root with Unrevoked, but the end result is always the same.
1. Can I use Unrevoked to root my phone with the froyo upgrade in place?
2. If so, how? Because what I've been trying ain't gettin' it done.
3. If not, is there a way to roll-back to 2.1 so that I can use Unrevoked?
4. Could the 2.2 version of Unrevoked be casuing my "failed flash" issue?
I've rooted my Incredible with Unrevoked 3 and I have successfully used Unrevoked Forever to set S=OFF.now, I am trying to update to Froyo, but I am confused as crap.Can I use the official OTA update and do it manually? Or do I need a different ROM to update manually with.I've searched here and there everywhere and I haven't gotten a firm answer or I can't find anything at all.

I myself had to do this, as I couldn't always answer the phone (swipes were simply ignored about 70% of the time) and the weather widget was out, too. Had to hard reset and, from what I hear, so have many others. Why is this? I called HTC, who called what Verizon did "buggy".

I removed a flashlight app that I had installed from the market. I restarted several times. Tried removing the battery for 15 minutes. All no help. any suggestions. Everything else seems to work properly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedInstalled the new leaked froyo and now my camera does not work. Both Pic and video app come up but the screen is black. Also my internal 8gb of storage says "Unavailable". I tried formatting the storage a few times and reboot each time and nothing.
I had root my Dinc the old way so I unrooted back to stock, installed the first OTA, then rooted using the Unprovoked tool then installed the 2.2 zip file. Every step went exactly as the videos showed. Can anyone help me?

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I have been using the cigarette light adapter and separate 1 ft cable, both of which i got from monoprice. They worked fine before i got froyo. Since i got froyo, when i plug it in, the red/orange light just blinks on and off and my screen turns on and off. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but i have to be able to charge!

I followed the instructions here and on the Internets and was successfully able to update my phone in the following order: Now I am unable to *228 and program with either a 1 or a 2. The message "programming in progress" does come up but after about 10 seconds, the voice tells me that I cannot update at this time and I should call customer service. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to troubleshoot. I assume its due to the upgrade and not a coincidence.

The ear speaker in my Evo stopped working, presumably after 2.2 upgrade. I cannot hear anything during phone call or when I listen to voice mail. When I turn on speaker or insert headphones - I hear fine.
I got this problem with one Evo and thought it was a hardware problem. Sprint exchanged it. Got the new Evo, upgraded to 2.2 and now the same issue. I did checked the ear speaker before upgrade and it was working.
Hard reset did not help. I checked all the settings I could.
I found on another forum that someone had similar issue. Anyone else? Any suggestions?
Anyway we can upgrade to .6 heard people with .3 it won't work. do we need to reinstall 2.1 (1.47) and then upgrade from there?
