HTC Incredible :: No Sounds On Phone Speaker

I have no sound on my phone but I can hear through head phones. No rings, no alarm, nothing.
Is it just my phone, I was just on the phone with someone that was on a landline, I noticed it was a little garbly (is that a word LOL) and a little hard to understand, almost like the beginning of each word was cutting off, I decided to put him on speaker phone so I can write stuff down and the phone call was now crystal clear. Anyone else notice that their speaker phone sounds better then if they are not on speaker phone?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm not getting any sound through the speaker, no music or ringtones or anything. I can hear on the phone and with earphones in, and if I blow throw the back of the phone it works then stops.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden my speaker (the one you put to your ear) sounds really static-y. Not signal static, it's very clear that it's the speaker itself or at least something around it vibrating. It kind of sounds a speaker that has been damaged (ripped, or got wet or something even though it has not been wet).
Anyway, I plan on taking it into the sprint store today and having them check it out. Anyone one else with this problem?
If I have the sound up on either the speaker or the internal it sounds like a blown speaker is this normal? I have to put the volume setting down to about half or less.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have my headphones plugged in (yes they're plugged all the way in), I get an email/text/gtalk notification. The notification sound comes through both my headphones and the rear speaker. What's up with that, I'd like for all sound to come through the headphones when they're plugged in.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe Eternal Speaker plays forever. I never noticed it before today, but my Eris is definitely not disabling music playback through the eternal speaker when I plug headphones (or an adapter, or anything) into the headphone jack. Sound still comes through the earbuds or headphones nice and crisp, just the speaker is ALSO playing the same sound, at the same volume.
This sort of defeats the purpose of one of the main reasons I use headphones- to mute sound for everyone but me. I tried different music players, different headphones, made sure the phone knew they were non-mic headphones, everything. I can't find a setting to tell the speaker to disable when headphones are in- isn't it supposed to be automatic?
Ok so this is the first problem I've had with my evo so far. In the last two days my external speakerhas stopped working but only after I change the profile to vib or silent then go back to normal. To get sound again I have to do a battery pull then it works again. So I have a feeling its a software issue. I wanted to know 1st if any one else has had this 2nd what do I want to use to back up to do a reset. And 3rd how do I do a reset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure the engineers who build these phones are quite brilliant individuals, and certainly, at least one of them has figured out by now that, "Hey, if we put the speaker on the back of the phone, the sound is going to be muffled when the phone rings!"So I'm just curious if there is some logistical/technical reason why this is done? I figure it would be much better design-wise to put the speaker on the front, or maybe even on the bottom. Other than not being able to see the screen in direct sunlight, this is the only real gripe I have about the phone thus far. Also, do you guys lay the phone face down when not using it, assuming you'd otherwise sleep right through the phone ringing when sitting on its back?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a car stereo with bluetooth.I don't want to start a debate about sound quality of the music through Bluetooth. What I would like to know is if anyone has figured out how to get the music to go through the bluetooth speaker WHILE having the navigation go through the phone speaker. For me that is the optimal situation and would hopefully not have the Navigation interrupt the music instead allow them to both be going on at once.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust put the latest ROM on my phone last night and rooted. I was all excited adding my apps back and setting the phone up that I neglected to test the phone.
I received a phone call today and couldn't hear anything. Like the person on the other end muted their phone. Now the kicker, if I put the phone on Speakerphone I can hear the caller just fine (as fine as pre 2.2). I looked around and haven't been able to find any reference to this.
Is there any software/os updates to fix my cam from freezing every other picture? and my speaker phone is no louder then my ear piece (ringers & music are loud)

View 1 Replies View RelatedTwo issues that are bugging me...
1) Is there a way to avoid notification sounds to take place during media playback, mainly music player, without having to change my sounds profile to silent, or vibrate?
2) All of a sudden my phone is taking a little long to load SMS conversations. Is there a way to fix that? I feel as though my Snapdragon shouldn't lag when I open a text.
I know that the one to the right of the ear piece is the LED, but what are the two that are on the left?
View 8 Replies View RelatedIDK if anybody else has done this yet, but I have already somehow managed to bust the external speaker on the back. It is horrible. Just wondering if anyone else has done this yet.

I feel it is low and weak compared to the Motorola Droid.....
My speaker just started sounding baffled like it is blown. I inspected the area around it and all appears okay, doesn't look like its torn. Anyone have this issue? Thinking of taking in for a defect exchange (had since day one). And I don't listen to music/videos with the volume cranked up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI couldn't hear the music play at max volume on my Incredible at work (noisy environment). Was disappointing coming from a raggedy BB Storm 1. But then I did something to it and the volume incresed... about 25% higher from the max setting that I had. I can now hear it while I am working. I tested this method on the Pandora. It worked every time.
Here is how:
1. Play music (from whatever app you use)
2. Hit the home key
3. Open Voice Search (Programs key if you don't have it on your home screen).
4. Done.
I updated radio, rooted with unrevoked 3 and installed syraider vanilla. Now i have external speaker issue. Sound crackly like its blown. Anyone have a similiar issue?Dont know if its software related or not.Was fine before I updated.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI put some MP3s on my Inc and the audio player plays them fine and they're pretty loud coming out of the speaker.
Now, I took one of those MP3s and set it as my ring tone. I turned the ringtone volume all the way up and when I got a call, it's like half the volume as it played as an MP3.
Why do I lose so much volume? Is there any way to make that louder?
I haven't been able to hear notifications lately, the volume is up but nothing. My ringer for my phone works and I made sure the notification, ringer and media volumes are all set to high. The speaker is working because when I hit the volume rocker it makes a beep. I feel silly asking for this but it just stopped ringing and I don't know how to get it back.
