View 1 RepliesFirst off my browser won't let me click certain buttons after a few hours of the phone being on. Not a big deal but when I shut the phone off it won't turn back on unless I do a battery pull. This happens 2-3 times a day so can get annoying. I'm about to get a case though and don't want to keep taking it off and on and risk messing up the fit or scratching it. Does anyone know of a program that shuts the phone off like a battery pull?
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust picked up the Epic yesterday, and already been having issues all day long. The phone has does this about 5 or 6 times today. It will fade away, and when I come back to it a little later to check messages or anything, it will all be blacked out, and nothing will come back. (by hitting the power button) No matter what I push, the screen stays black, and the phone seems like it is off. (A few times, the lights have stayed on, and the buttons act like they are responding, but nothing works still) It has also lost signal completely twice today, and I've had to restart it to get signal back.
View 10 Replies View RelatedHow can I use the phone and pull up email at the same time? When I tried to maintain a phone call and review and email, I got an error message. I don't recall the exact message but it was something about having to use wi-fi....maybe. Is it possible to use the Internet and phone at the same time?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSometimes, after manually locking the phone, I'll try to unlock the phone but the "swipe" bar no longer shows up. It's almost comical when this happens, as I can get phone calls, emails, texts etc during those times (I can even pick up/reply), but the phone goes immediately to that "swipe less" lock screen right afterward. There is no way for me to unlock the phone (even a long press on the lock button doesn't work), so I have to take off the case and do a battery pull to reset. Has any experienced this and does anyone have any fixes for it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust thinking, should the Push Gmail use less battery power than "Pull" such as Yahoo Mail. It would seem that the pull process is having to go look every 15 min and the Push process is merely sending it as it arrives.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOnly thing I can think of that I miss on my storm. When turning it off, it would alert you it would be turning back on at your alarm time to wake you and would do exactly that. Stock app doesn't do that. I've searched and gone through market apps descriptions looking for this function. At the least I want the alarm to go off when the phones turned off. I don't need it to notify me when its turning on, when its shutting down.

View 12 Replies View RelatedThis is probably a really dumb question but my battery life info says that the android system is using 96% of my battery and standby and idle are both using only 2%. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Should my standby time be higher? Or is it better that it is a low number when it is idle/on standby. First smartphone ever here and I just don't know if that is good for my battery or not.

Anyone else know?
View 2 Replies View RelatedBattery was at 24%. Talked for 10 Minutes. Now 18%. Really? 6 %. By that rate you can get 166.6 minutes of talk time. Does this sound right? No apps were running in the backround.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know what happened different since I booted my phone yesterday at 7:00 am, but all of a sudden, my battery life has jumped significantly. I run the Seidio 1750. Yesterday, I went ALL DAY with normal usage (multiple texts, calendar appt reminders, a few brief calls with both wifi and bluetooth on constantly. My k-9 mail syncs with work e-mail every minute, and gmail wireless sync is on for two accounts) and I still had 81% battery remaining when I went to bed at 10:30 last night! I haven't shut it down yet just to see how far it will make it.Right now, my battery usage screen shows Up Time of 31:09 with Awake time of 4:16. I'm still showing 62% remaining battery!!!I'm wondering if one of the multiple automatic updates that occurred in the marketplace corrected a former battery hog (gmail maybe?)Anyone have any insight into this incredible improvement all of a sudden? I'm almost afraid to perform my usual overnight shut down and charge in case this is just a fluke occurrence.I'll post an update when I finally get a low battery warning to see how long she'll run on a single charge.

View 12 Replies View Relatedi picked up my inc just a while ago, and it felt a little warm. didn't really think anything of it. then i went to the market and hit download and found a bunch of apps were ready with updates, so i sent them all to update. while this was happening, my phone seemed to get warmer. so i checked the battery status on the pull down menu, and it was "Overheat/120.9F/3.731V" (this is what i wrote down; it was 118 when i first looked, then went up to 120). i checked the battery usage, and it was totally normal, nothing running high, nothing that it doesn't usually say (cell standby, android system, whatever). i freaked out, so i turned off the phone, and then i pulled the battery. the phone still feels hot but seems to maybe be cooling down a little. the battery is warm. there is a "hot" smell, too. i am FREAKING OUT. what do i do now? seriously, i'm afraid to put it back together.it's starting to cool down now. i'm using the htc 1500 battery i got from bidallies, it has been doing a really good job for the few days i've had it. oh, that's the other thing, the reason i decided to even check the battery on the pull down is because my battery seemed to suddenly drop over 10% while the market updates were downloading. like, it just really drained quick.
View 9 Replies View RelatedLast week I noticed that my battery lifetime decreased two folds. I used to be able to go by without charge for a good 24 hours if I used it moderately. Now all of a sudden my battery goes down 50% in less than 4 hours of same moderate use. I didn't install any new softwares, I tried closing running apps, I even installed task killer and tried using it to kill running on the back ground apps, but nothing helps (uninstalled task killer same result). What is wrong with this crap? I didn't root or did anything else different than two weeks ago... What a heck?
I know that 2.2 OTA release will help with the battery life (at least that is what they promise), but nobody knows when this release will be available and meanwhile I am suffering from dead battery in less than 8 hours of moderate use.
Do battery stats reset every time a install a new rom(not a restore just a fresh rom) or only when I clear them?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought an Eris on the 28th, but returned it sunday within the 30 day grace period to wait for the incredible. And its killing me xD.I had to switch back to my winmo 6.1 HTC vx6900, and switching back from android is rough. Truly, it is a day to day struggle that we must cope with one step at a time. Tasks that used to be so simple, like editing a contact or sending a text, are now unwieldy by comparison.Who else here has had to do this? Am I alone in having to deal with this?

View 8 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone ever have trouble taking the back battery cover off? I just got my phone on Monday, and ever since I put the cover on I've wanted to take the cover off to see if I can find where the SD card is (which if anyone could point that out for me that would be great). However, when I get where only the part where it has the slit open, I feel like I would break the rest if I keep pulling that is how good it is on my phone.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI wasn't an idiot and pulled it out on purpose. But maybe from pulling it from having my phone rooted is the cause. Anyways, its gone. Does anyone have any fixes? I was thinking of putting scotch tape around the battery with a little slack from both ends on the one side, so I have a non sticky homemade "pull tab". It should work but just wondering if anyone has a better idea I'm not thinking of.

View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes any one know of an Application for Android that will allow you to reset your device (like a battery pull would do) only with out having to physically pull the battery yourself. Also, I would like to know if there are any such apps, do any of them allow you to schedule the pulls?? (Good for letting your phone reset itself at times when your not using it) There's a similar Blackberry App (Quickpull, just google it) Thanks for the help and if there are no such apps, I wouldn't mind paying for a developer to make such an app.
