View 2 Repliesis the awake time and uptime supposed to reset after every full charge? or is rebooting the phone the only way to reset these numbers? i just installed a new rom and i don't seem to remember them not resetting after each charge.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been searching for this, but cannot find the answer. How do I reset the usage stats (up time/ awake time) on my phone so I can track usage between individual charges?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not getting the best battery life at the moment, have the Seidio "1750", and have seen conflicting reports on if wiping the battery stats really helps or not. Tried it this morning anyway, figured it couldn't hurt. Charged the phone, gave it a nice bump charge, and then booted into recovery and wiped the stats.
View 15 Replies View RelatedThis may be a silly question... but I was just wondering. Is a hard reset is a battery pull and is a soft reset a "alt +right shift+delete" ?
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhat does clearing battery stats do? I'm just curious b/c I'm seeing a lot better battery life after wiping mine and it's just weird that some stats would affect it so much.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI followed the instructions here: http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-hero/76717-how-increase-battery-life-performance-your-new-shiny-rom.html but didn't see the option to wipe battery stats. Am I using the wrong recovery image to the on in the thread, and if yes is there another way to do that? my battery life SUCKS.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe 2 programs I have of concern are both unavailable on the market.Shapewriter and a legal beta of Swype. My phone needs a factory because screwy things are happening.Although I screwed up my swype by deleting the installer, which i though i could do, so that doesn't work any longer now anyway. Is there a way to save the programs fro later?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone ever try wiping their battery stats using Rom Manager? I read a few post about this on another forum and was wondering if worked? I seem to be having a problem with my Ally - I let it run until it shuts off and when I plug it into my charger, the stat says it has between 3% and 5% still left.
View 1 Replies View Relatedcharge battery fully then reboot into recovery and wipe? or fully discharge battery, plug in phone and boot into recovery, wipe stats and reboot leaving phone on? or off?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Android so have probably missed something. I'm running a Droid X and looking for a simple way to get a snapshot reading of the battery (% charge mostly). I haven't found it yet on the standard phone, and the battery widgets from the marketplace do far more than I'm looking for and seem to have the side effect of draining the battery anyway.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI did a hard reset yesterday and now my battery life went up the wall. It was draining faster than a rodeo horse before but now its so stable. I got off the charger at 10 am this morning and been actively using. Down to 90 percent now at 5pm. Weird, I guess I had a draining program installed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe stock Android lock screen will display your battery status while your phone is charging; does anyone know how to have it display your current battery status while it is not charging?
This doesn't seems like a super difficult task to accomplish, I'm just unsure where I need to start to get things going. It would be so awesome if someone would actually help me.
I was told by my local Verizon store that I can improve battery life by doing a hard reset on my phone by doing a hard reset. Before I turn it into a brick, I wanted to get some second opinions. Anybody else done this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy phone all but died yesterday (see my other post) and was forced to do a factory reset. I went through and only re-installed apps that did not state about preventing the phone from sleeping. Most days I unplug my phone at 6am and its completely dead by 2pm. I unplugged today at 8am and at 2pm its at 75% to 80% (normally unplugging at 8 it would be at 30% at 2pm. I dont know if its the factory reset, or not installing apps that keep the phone from sleeping or what the deal is, but wow. My usage has been the same today if not more than normal cause of reinstalling my apps and re setting everything up from doing the reset. When I looked at my phone a few minutes ago to see if I have to do my normal afternoon recharge and it was still near full.
View 23 Replies View RelatedThis is probably a really dumb question but my battery life info says that the android system is using 96% of my battery and standby and idle are both using only 2%. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Should my standby time be higher? Or is it better that it is a low number when it is idle/on standby. First smartphone ever here and I just don't know if that is good for my battery or not.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow long does the battery last from the time you take it off the charger, 'til the time you have to charge back again? If you feel like explaining what type user you are (i.e. moderate, heavy, etc.), then be my guest.
View 49 Replies View RelatedBattery was at 24%. Talked for 10 Minutes. Now 18%. Really? 6 %. By that rate you can get 166.6 minutes of talk time. Does this sound right? No apps were running in the backround.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter I did a factory reset now my up and awake times are running exactly the same.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know what happened different since I booted my phone yesterday at 7:00 am, but all of a sudden, my battery life has jumped significantly. I run the Seidio 1750. Yesterday, I went ALL DAY with normal usage (multiple texts, calendar appt reminders, a few brief calls with both wifi and bluetooth on constantly. My k-9 mail syncs with work e-mail every minute, and gmail wireless sync is on for two accounts) and I still had 81% battery remaining when I went to bed at 10:30 last night! I haven't shut it down yet just to see how far it will make it.Right now, my battery usage screen shows Up Time of 31:09 with Awake time of 4:16. I'm still showing 62% remaining battery!!!I'm wondering if one of the multiple automatic updates that occurred in the marketplace corrected a former battery hog (gmail maybe?)Anyone have any insight into this incredible improvement all of a sudden? I'm almost afraid to perform my usual overnight shut down and charge in case this is just a fluke occurrence.I'll post an update when I finally get a low battery warning to see how long she'll run on a single charge.
View 49 Replies View Relatedi picked up my inc just a while ago, and it felt a little warm. didn't really think anything of it. then i went to the market and hit download and found a bunch of apps were ready with updates, so i sent them all to update. while this was happening, my phone seemed to get warmer. so i checked the battery status on the pull down menu, and it was "Overheat/120.9F/3.731V" (this is what i wrote down; it was 118 when i first looked, then went up to 120). i checked the battery usage, and it was totally normal, nothing running high, nothing that it doesn't usually say (cell standby, android system, whatever). i freaked out, so i turned off the phone, and then i pulled the battery. the phone still feels hot but seems to maybe be cooling down a little. the battery is warm. there is a "hot" smell, too. i am FREAKING OUT. what do i do now? seriously, i'm afraid to put it back together.it's starting to cool down now. i'm using the htc 1500 battery i got from bidallies, it has been doing a really good job for the few days i've had it. oh, that's the other thing, the reason i decided to even check the battery on the pull down is because my battery seemed to suddenly drop over 10% while the market updates were downloading. like, it just really drained quick.
View 9 Replies View RelatedLast week I noticed that my battery lifetime decreased two folds. I used to be able to go by without charge for a good 24 hours if I used it moderately. Now all of a sudden my battery goes down 50% in less than 4 hours of same moderate use. I didn't install any new softwares, I tried closing running apps, I even installed task killer and tried using it to kill running on the back ground apps, but nothing helps (uninstalled task killer same result). What is wrong with this crap? I didn't root or did anything else different than two weeks ago... What a heck?
I know that 2.2 OTA release will help with the battery life (at least that is what they promise), but nobody knows when this release will be available and meanwhile I am suffering from dead battery in less than 8 hours of moderate use.
Is there a recommended wait time to put the battery back in after a battery pull?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2.1 stock and I don't really want to clear everything for 2.2 (can I upgrade like an OTA to 2.2?) so I want to install a hydra kernal for better battery life. The 2.15 radio update wouldnt stick on my phone for some reason, and 0.5 or 1.0 hydra kernals won't work with 1.0 radio. Is there a hydra version that will?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy a Froyo factory reset really isn't (plus, a fix for upgrade issues) | Android Central Its in reference to the X but I am going to factory reset tonight and see what happens."If you're one of those folks who is less than pleased with your Droid X after the Froyo update, this one's for you. Android Central Forums member Fabrian was at wit's end, and even talked of ditching his X (blasphemy!) because of the random bugs, general weirdness, and plain old unsatisfactory performance of his unit since the update. His last-ditch effort and ingenuity seems to have paid off. The secret? He has completely disabled the Froyo feature that restores data from previous installs. It's really just a matter of turning off the automatic restore feature before logging back into your Google account. It's a little odd that "Automatic Restore" is still checked by default, even when "Back up my data" isn't, but there you go.The method isn't too painful and does require one more factory reset, but the payoff appears to be a much smoother experience. Makes sense, too restoring data from Eclair to Froyo probably isn't a very good idea even if it is convenient.
We've verified it here, a hard reset in Froyo isn't really a hard reset, as things come back by themselves. Follow Fabrian's instructions, and you will have a pristine Froyo installation on your Droid X (or Nexus One -- Sense on Froyo has no setting for this that we could find). Any troublemaking leftovers will be no more, and won't get downloaded and installed automatically again. If you're being plagued with myriad tiny bugs in your Droid X after the update, give it a try! [Android Central Forums] Thanks Fabrian, nice sleuthing!"
