Just now i connected my android phone(ICS 4.0.4) with my pc and the "USB Connected Turn on USB Storage" notification pops up. But on pressing the "Turn on USB Storage" the cirlce below it just keeps on circling and doesnot opens my sdcard in my pc as earlier it used to do. I removed the battery,sdcard and placed them again

Ive had my Droid Razr M for less than a week and I love it. I really like the Circles widget, but I want to make it smaller, is it possible to resize it? I dont see a way to get into an options menu for it.

Google automatically created a group in my contacts file (url....) called "Circles." It contains everyone in my Google+ circles. Problem is that when I sync my contacts file on Android, it pulls all of these contacts (2,000+) onto my phone. The contacts application allows me to filter them (so they don't display), but these contacts (with their thumbnail images) consume over 30MB of precious storage space on my phone! Note I do NOT have Google+ installed on my phone (memory issue). If I delete that group from my contacts, my understanding is those people will be removed from my Google+ circles.
How can I stop this group from downloading? I will never email or call any of these people and this is making my phone almost unusable (memory issues), if I can't resolve then I'll probably be forced to delete my circles in Google+. Don't want to do that but it's more important that my phone works...
How to turn off the usb storage, I did read the user manual, it said go to notifications panel then tap turn off usb storage, but when I'm in notification panel, I can't see the turn off usb storage anywhere!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've bought this chinese clone of the SIII, it's a MT6575. It's great except for the internal storage, which supposedly is 500MB but there seems to be an invisible SD storage which is 2GB. It's really confusing... When I go to Settings -> Storage there are 3 memories: "Internal Storage" (claims to be 4GB but it's fake, it's actually 500MB), "Phone Storage" (claims to be 16.5GB but it's probably 2GB), and finally my SD, "SD Card" (32GB).
The thing is, I'm having problems downloading big apps because apps go to "Internal Storage" which is 500MB only, and which files are stored in the "Phone Storage" (maybe internal & phone are actually the same?). However when I go to Settings -> Apps, on the "Downloaded" tab, the apps are in "Internal Storage" (500MB), and on the "On SD Card" tab, it shows that apps are in "Phone Storage" (the ones I moved to SD). This means my 32GB SD isn't being used by the system when I send apps to SD probably.
Also, my 32GB SD card is found in /mnt/sdcard2, and the /mnt/sdcard... I don't know which storage is that.
So basically all this is happening because I tried to Link2SD with my 32GB SD doing all the 2 partitions stuff and so, but Link2SD never detects the "secondary SD" which is the 32GB SD, as this fake SD card, "Phone Storage", is probably what the programs thinks to be the SD card.
On my galaxy tab 2 7, with Android 4.3, I have two choices of memory storage, emulated and extSdard. Im wondering if the emulated is actually on a like Cloud system or are the files still on my tablet? Also, if emulated storage is for multiple users, does this mean another device is connected besides my tablet?

I recently moved from a custom GB ROM to a Jellybean one, and one of the most annoying things about it is the fact that in the stock text messaging application, pressing "enter" now sends the message instead of inserting a line like it should. I know that you can press "control+enter" to start a new line, but the "enter" key is right next to the "backspace" key, and I'm not always the most accurate thumb typist, so I sometimes end up sending incomplete messages.
Is there any way to make it go back to the way it should work so that I can actually use the "enter" key without worrying about the stupid software thinking I'm done with the message?

It will not go to sleep mode when pressing the end/power key. But it still takes phone OUT of sleep mode, but now I have to wait for the screen timeout instead of pressing the button again.

I' trying to complete an assignment. I need to be able to draw circles with the canvas in Android and also draw the ten previous circles while my finger moves. I have saved the coordinates in an arraylist and tried to use a for loop to draw all of the circles. Here is my code, I'm just looking for suggestions not answers if anyone has any. This get's really annoying because every time my phone turns on, it stays on for a few seconds, and this really kills battery life. I've tried lurking around my phone's settings and even my launcher settings.
My phone is a rooted HTC Wildfire S running AOKP custom rom with Nova Launcher Prime. And if it makes any difference, I'm using the "Start" lock screen from the Play Store.
I am trying to draw a cupola circles at random positions in an Android application. I draw them on a bitmap and then draw that bitmap on the canvas. This is the function where a draw the circles:

The Bitmap b is global. And after calling this function I just draw the bitmap in the onDraw method. Now the problem is that I only get one circle drawn on the screen, no matter the size of numOfCircles.
Anyone notice 2 circles on the HTC Incredible by the Verizon logo? If you look closely on the left side by teh Verizon logo there are 2 small holes that looks like the led light but a little bigger. Looks like one a photo sensor and the other what is that? Can it be a facing camera? I don't know if someone has already answer this but I just noticed it now :-)

All seemed okay so let it get on with it.But when I thought it was ready I cannot get further than the four moving coloured circles. I have tried to factory reset and delete cache but has made no changes. I have been in contact with google play who now say there is no more actions that can be done so will need replacement.

when im typing and its suggesting a word if i click the next key it draws a small circle. if i want to move to the next word i need to either click on the suggested word; press space; or press the back key then go front again. any way to fix this? i know alot of you will say get the htc but i gave it a try and surprisingly (dont bash me) i liked the original more. i would have stuck to htc but when i tried changing key sizes (height or width) it wouldnt let me. my only problem with the keyboard is having big fingers i missclick alot, something i never had an issue with on the iphone (once again dont bash me). so in conclusion i guess what im asking is 1. can i stop the keyboard from entering circles everytime i press next. 2. how can i change key type on htc (i know its in setting but it didnt work). 3. anyone know of another keyboard that has larger/spaced out keys like the iphone?

What I mean is...when I plug my phone into my PC I only get a single popup asking to mount the phone's SD card storage, but not the internal phone storage.If I remove the SD card (or unmount the SD card using menus on the phone) and then toggle the connection type from Disk Drive, to Charge only, and then back to Disk Drive (to burp the connection), the internal phone storage will mount, but the SD card won't mount because it has been removed.When I connect my wife's incredible, my computer sees both the SD card storage and the internal storage (as expected) and gives me prompts for both. I took the SD card from the problematic phone and put it in the "good" phone and there are no issues at all (IE.. both the internal storage and SD storage mount). This of course means there is no issue with the SD card.

im shocked with how the manufacturer of my device(cherry mobile) designated their storage. the phone storage is 2gb and internal is 500 mb.
it is not a problem if i could write apps on phone storage by default but even though the 'write to phone storage' is checked, when i downloaded an app, the internal storage still losses free space.
