View 8 RepliesWhat features do you think will be available and how will they effect the DINC? Will Gingerbread be the last update to the DINC and does the coming of better smart phones with 2Ghz processors mark an end to this generation of android phones?

1. Plug phone in
2. Turn Phone Off
3. Wait 5 seconds
4. Turn Phone On
Voila! But i still do the turning the phone off to get the full charge thing. Hope this helps you all!

When I was talking to Tech Support when my first Inc was having problems he told me it was best to charge a full 24 hours the first time. I don't know if I can wait 24 hours after receiving my Inc before checking it out!

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe SMART30 code craziness today made me wonder, how soon will Verizon start running other promotions for the Incredible? How long did it take them to do BOGO or $99 offers for the DROID? I want to get my phone as cheap as possible, but as a 3rd line on a family plan Verizon doesn't tend to offer me deals. I noticed Wirefly had their price set at $149.99 to start sales Thursday. Will it be a long time before Verizon drops the price?

Is rooting for me? how long will it take me? is it a giant pita?
I would root to get better battery life, remove bloatware, and free hotspot

How long does this take?
I have been waiting on it for 45 mins now...
I noticed that in a long threaded email with friends, when it got too long, it was stuck retrieving the email and I had to stop it and then try and download it all again (get remaining) and it never was able to retrieve it. When I finally got home to check the thread they were asking why I wasn't responding. Any tips on how to resolve long email threads not being retrievable?

1) Is there a way to avoid notification sounds to take place during media playback, mainly music player, without having to change my sounds profile to silent, or vibrate?
2) All of a sudden my phone is taking a little long to load SMS conversations. Is there a way to fix that? I feel as though my Snapdragon shouldn't lag when I open a text.
So as far as I understood things, Gingerbread was supposed to be released yesterday. Apparently not. But I'm sure it's coming pretty soon. Does anyone have any idea when they're releasing it? Moreover, how do we get it, is it sent out or do we have to find it ourselves?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI dont know how many people just read the article on engadget (Android 3.0 Gingerbread getting revamped UI, Froyo living on for lower-end phones? -- Engadget) but it seems as though not many, if any, current phones will be making the cut for gingerbread (android 3.0) and also that we're going to be seeing many new crazy high-powered phones being released this fall and winter (consisting of bigger screens, faster processors, 1280by760 resolution!). So my question is do you think Evo will make the cut for android 3.0 or will it be obsolete compared to what is on the market by this Christmas (regardless of whether it gets 3.0 or not)

Sounds interesting.
Google says they hope this UI overhaul makes skins made by manufacturers (Sense UI, Motoblur) "pointless."
We've all been saying Android's next version, Gingerbread will be 3.0. But, new evidence suggests it is not 3.0.
Gingerbread is Android 2.3 » BriefMobile
Android Gingerbread is likely version 2.3 as a Google engineer on the Security Team called it 2.3 in a support response on Google's code site for Android.
Also, his response to the guy's support indicates that the Nexus One will indeed receive the upgrade! Not that we thought it wouldn't, but confirmation is always nice.
Think it is 2.3, 2.5, or 3.0?
Firstly, I want to ask what is the next versions from Android after froyo and why android phones have got a greater demand in USA. Is Android No.1 in the Mobile operating system.
View 9 Replies View RelatedGoogle brought more language support to Android with Gingerbread. How do I use it? the only indication of Arabic support is that, when I get a text message in Arabic, it shows the letters in Arabic, but not connected to each other the way they should be.What I want is to make everything Arabic, not just messages received in Arabic.
