I'm looking for a one stop does it all movie play. I have real player and arcmedia and the stock one but some of the movies I get are in different formats and arcmedia is so slow you can even fast forward in it at all. Is there a one stops does it all out there?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyway, when i am trying to watch a movie in my adroid device (Xperia Sola), sometimes it directly opens it with flash player withing the browser (Btw i am using stock) and sometimes it wants me to open with some apps, like Movies, Quickpic and MX Player. Since i am able to play that video with flash player in my computer, i want that video to be played by flash player, not by some apps.
Actually MX Player is better in watching movies, but sometimes it cant grab the movie, but flash player makes no problem like that.
I unchecked "Play HTTP Links" in MX Player, but there is no such option in stock Movies app and Quickpic.
In a nut shell, when the app is loaded, it will play a short movie (maybe a few seconds at most @ 12-24fps). I will then have 2 buttons displayed on the screen, and depending on what button is pressed, it I will play another short movie (5-10 seconds). While waiting for the user to make a decision, the movie will be looping.
The movie source is stop-motion photography so it's already chopped up into frames. My question here is if I should use a Frame Animation technique, or if I should use a Movie player for this. All in all perhaps there's less than 100 still frames that make up the stop-motion. I was going to go the Frame Animation route, but I wasn't sure if having so many individual frames would kill the app so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone had any insight.
I want to be able to use/view the video's I record with my phone on my computer. (open from an email or use in window's movie maker)I have a new computer with Windows seven at work and a Vista laptop at home. I can send the video to myself and try to open in from my email or tether to the computer and transfer the file manually. Either way I can't open with windows media player. Video's taken with default "Camcorder" app on a myTough 3G running Android 1.6.I know it has something to do with the codec's the phone uses but wonder why they wouldn't use codec's that are compatible with the most commonly used pc's?Is there any way around this? Some kind of converter for the computer or for the phone?Is there another camcorder app that can record video with a different codec or is it phone hardware specific?So far have been able to use these forum's to sort out most of my Android problems but I'm stumped on this one. It doesn't seem like it should be this hard to do. Should be more user friendly.

MY question and problem is that when I watch my movies, the sound is a half second out of sync with the movie. Anyone experience this? It makes no difference which player I use. I've used 3 different converters for the movies I have and that doens't seem to matter either. I used to watch most of my movies on my, forgive the language, on my Palm (Gasp) and they worked fine there.

I got bored today and hooked up my phone to see if the headunit would read it, sure enough it did and it played the mp3's on my sdcard. I would like to think this isn't just limited to the Incredible, I would imagine any android phone would work but I haven't had a chance to try a different model. No more ipod for me!!!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI think I need a step by step. So I ripped Avatar from a dvd using dvdfab. I chose main movie and Dvd9. This gave me a 7 gig file. I used handbrake to convert to mp4 at 480 x 272 or something on ipod legacy setting. When I put that file on the phone, it is 2 gigs. Does that seem too big? How can I compress this without a huge loss in quality? It plays perfect right now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so I have converted movie from mkv to mp4 using handbreak and placed it in new folder, connected Desire to PC using HTC Sync, added this folder so it syncs with phone, press Sync Now. But after sync I still haven't uploaded anything to phone. It's looks like it syncs everything to pc but I cant sync to phone. Why so? How to get movie to phone?

I have looked at apps like MixZing, Cubed, and DoubleTwist, but these all seem like they won't play music from both the sd card and internal phone storage like the stock player. Are there any players that will do this, and perhaps find album art like the others?

Long story short, I needed to cancel the transfer in the middle and remove my phone. Now my phone is freezing like mad, and I absolutely can't connect to my computer (not to mention that freezes it completely.) Removing the SD card seems to help, but not much. Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this?

I also don't see an option in menu section for video or movie? With my samsung it was easy, as the PC studio software left you drag and drop movies in, it converted them, and then went straight into the phones movie folder. Desire seems very different?

So far I like the phone and the app store however am annoyed I can't get outside android programs to load.I have seen the sticky on this but am leery to attempt it.In the meantime I have some questions.
1. Is there a regular way most people use to move their movie files over to this phone? I tried doubleTwist, however I have selected just one folder and it grabs everything in all media folders and I have deselected looking at Windows Media Player and Itunes so this is causing me much frustration. Is there an easier way?
2.I just realized that the phone doesn't utilize an alarm clock feature. I know this is very minor, I am assuming there is an app for that.
3.Any advice an a good ebook reader for this phone?
I know I have more, but I'll stop here for now. The syncing part is just driving me nuts!
Every time someone leaves me a voicemail on my home phone number, VOIP home phone voice mail box sends me the voicemail as a .wav file attachment. When I try to play this .wav file the phone refuses, saying "Sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file".
So, I take it the .wav files cannot be played on Android phones. Has anyone found a workable and simple workaround to this yet?
I picked up a few movies this past month and some of them have a digital copy in the package... will they play on the droid? i know they will play on my touch.. but i don't carry it anymore since getting the droid.
