View 1 RepliesI have a problem with my Onda VX610W Deluxe using ICS beta1, when i use video player like MX Video Player or mVideo Player - everything runs fine but with additional subtitles that have wrong character set and sometimes wrong sync, subtitles from MX Video player or mVideo are fine but Onda`s Hardware decoder overrides screen and inputs additional subtitles it looks like this:

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting subtitles to work in any video player on Android so far.
I though that I may be lucky after converting an MKV with embedded subs to an MP4 and playing in Meridian with no luck. After having a look over the Meridian FAQ/Tutorial I can see they are supported, though only as an additional SRT. Having a had a look around it appears extracting SRTs from MKV is not nearly as easy as you'd think (I've so far been unsuccessful) so I thought I'd see if anyone else has had more luck.
One question arised on my mind when reading reviews of Galaxy S - is there any video player capable of playing HD content (720p) and showing subtitles - either from srt file or directly from MKV?
There are players with subtitles support but I am afraid that to play HD content 1Ghz processor is not enough and that Galaxy's internal player is also taking advance of GPU which others players do not.
Sorry if this question already has been asked and answered, but does anyone know of a video player for Android that supports standard subtitles in the .srt and .sub formats? If it can play Div-X videos as well, then that's a nice bonus, and perhaps even a necessary one in order for it to show subs with correct timing? Any suggestions?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have always loved my Windows PC for the fact, that there are some programs with which I could watch movies with my girlfriend and have
1) English subtitles displayed for me on top of the screen and
2) Greek subtitles for her on the bottom of the screen.
Now, with my android mini pc and I cannot find an app which displays 2 subtitles at the same time.
My question: Is this there any app out there that and I just haven't found it?
I have Avatar on my Epic 4G but I haven't been able to figure out how to get the subtitles to work. I created a new folder in my file manager, named it "subtitles" and added the .srt subtitle file for avatar but I get nothing. Any ideas?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI badly need a good video player with playlist support and shuffle.
I have one of those cheap Chinese ICS tablets (btw working pretty good) and I planned to use it in my car to let my 17 month old daughter watch some videos I got from YouTube while driving home from our vacation. That is a 7 hours drive and she won't handle it without some entertainment. However I cannot find a suitable app, paid or free
I got so far
- Act Player.. does the job but only on Gingerbread (I have a GB Galaxy S phone). On ICS the playlist feature does not work
- Vplayer - does not support shuffle and after 4th or 5th video starts to stutter
- Mobo player - does the job but does not support shuffle and the little monster is getting tired of the first 10 vids she has to watch all over again every day
Every time someone leaves me a voicemail on my home phone number, VOIP home phone voice mail box sends me the voicemail as a .wav file attachment. When I try to play this .wav file the phone refuses, saying "Sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file".
So, I take it the .wav files cannot be played on Android phones. Has anyone found a workable and simple workaround to this yet?
If this is a repeat of another thread then i apologize .i need a video player that will play mp4 video in full resolution for the droid.m coming from bb.can you help me with this.i don't care if it is free or not.

View 4 Replies View Relatedthe gmail app on the DINC does not support video and pic sharing? m I missing something here. When you take a vid and go to share, gmail comes up as one of your options. If you proceed down this route, you don't get an error, but the vid never gets attached and delivered. The only way to do this is through the HTC Mail app. On this same note, another gripe I have is why Android lists the sharing options if you can't actually use them to share. You can't share a video over Handcent/Messaging Apps...so why show them as options for sharing? You can't upload to facebook directly, so why list them as an option. Seems like a glaring issue that will confuse newbies (my wife) and may ultimately affect their adoption of the platform. I'm all for the customization and openness of Android, but they need to work out these little quirks if they want to capture any respectable market share.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUPDATE- 6-4-10 12:15PM Central. The dev just released another update, a fix for the DI. This removes the thumbnails and solves the problem. It now works as it did before. I applaud the dev's quick turnaround. He got out an update within about 3 hours after my initial email.
Just a heads up, if you have the Act1 Video Player, DO NOT UPDATE. (UPDATE 6-4-10)
It adds thumbnails to the videos which destroys the app.
Here's the summary I sent to the developer:The app opens as fast as it always has.
I have 3 folders with videos on them, 1 internal, 2 SD. They have 3-4 videos each. Pressing anyone, there is a 3-10 second lag until the files and thumbnails show up, longer if one folder is already expanded. The thumbnails are incorrect for some files, correct for others. With folders expanded, the app becomes unresponsive after a while. Opening a file takes about 10-15 seconds, if even successful. Playback seems fine, although scrubbing takes a little while to get going at first.
I was wondering if there is a good app like TCPMP for windows based smart phones that can be used for streaming video that launch video in MediaPlayer.
Also, for some reason I have trouble watching HULU on my droid, even in the Skyfire2.0.
I have the htc droid Incredible Froyo installed. I'm shooting 1280x720 video. I've downloaded the 3gpp video/audio files to my computer and want to burn them to a cd or dvd.
How do I convert the 3gpp audio/video files to a format that can be viewed with a dvd player or on another computer? Do you know of any Conversion software that will accomplish this?
I have a 22 minute video shot at 720p resolution which consumed 1.24GB.
Are there any video players for the HTC Desire that support MKV playback? this would be VERY advantageous for me as most of my movies/music videos/videos are in MKV format
If not, what are the best players for AVI/MP4 files?
I successfully followed the instructions to upgrade to Froyo and got the Root done. I also updated my radio to the new one. Before I upgraded from 2.1 I could play a song using the media player and then open up the camcorder and take a video and the music would keep playing in the background as kind of the background music for whatever I was recording. After the update to Froyo now when I have a song playing and I open up the camcorder, the music stops.
Now I figure that this is the way that most of you guys want it. But I was having one hell of a time playing some Rolling Stones and having my girlfriend lipsync to the entire thing. We were making some great and funny videos. So my question is, is there any way to get the music player to stay on. Is anyone aware of any settings there are for this. I am probably going to roll back to 2.1 anyway and wait for the official OTA, but I figure this won't work the way that I want it to when it comes out officially either.
Is there any way we can rotate a video in Android (specially in Java layer) as it supports ino BREW or WM?
Also, how does the orientation change (portrait/landscape) is different than the video rotation?
Can anyone please tell me if Android Media Player is able to play a video that is placed in a remote server, in a supported format?
