Android :: Movie Player That Play All Movies?
Oct 11, 2010I have a droid-x and also have an iPod Touch. Is there a player that will play all my movies? I would hate to have to convert everything. My iPod has MP4 files. Meridian doesnt seem to like them.

Jul 22, 2010In a nut shell, when the app is loaded, it will play a short movie (maybe a few seconds at most @ 12-24fps). I will then have 2 buttons displayed on the screen, and depending on what button is pressed, it I will play another short movie (5-10 seconds). While waiting for the user to make a decision, the movie will be looping.
The movie source is stop-motion photography so it's already chopped up into frames. My question here is if I should use a Frame Animation technique, or if I should use a Movie player for this. All in all perhaps there's less than 100 still frames that make up the stop-motion. I was going to go the Frame Animation route, but I wasn't sure if having so many individual frames would kill the app so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone had any insight.
Motorola Droid :: Screen Orientation - Movie Playback
Mar 9, 2010It seems like my droid will only go to horizontal orientation if I turn it counter-clockwise. When I turn it clockwise, the video plays in landscape by upside down. I'd like to play it landscape turned clockwise and be able to access the charging port while watching television. has anyone found a video player that is capable of this?

General :: Internet Movie - Watching With Flash Player Rather Than Apps
Sep 9, 2012Anyway, when i am trying to watch a movie in my adroid device (Xperia Sola), sometimes it directly opens it with flash player withing the browser (Btw i am using stock) and sometimes it wants me to open with some apps, like Movies, Quickpic and MX Player. Since i am able to play that video with flash player in my computer, i want that video to be played by flash player, not by some apps.
Actually MX Player is better in watching movies, but sometimes it cant grab the movie, but flash player makes no problem like that.
I unchecked "Play HTTP Links" in MX Player, but there is no such option in stock Movies app and Quickpic.

My TV is DLNA capable, as is my Samsung Blu-Ray player if my Samsung Phone will play nicer with my Samsung Blu-Ray player. I've got an Xbox 360 and a Roku 2 XS as well if either of those are better suited to the task.

Missing apps: Google Play Movies and TV, Magazines, Ears, Books.
Now in the JB some apps come preinstalled. Unfortunately they don't show up in the drawer but when I try to reinstall them, I get the error message that the application already exists. When I go to system/apps, they are listed there. I have market-enabler installed with the market set to the US. I can see all categories and can install the apps through Google Play (browser) on the phone. But I still get the same error message.
Is there a way I can unhide them and use them?

Jul 9, 2010I'm on 2.2 bugless beast .4 right now. Tonight I was transfering a movie to my phone via usb. Long story short, I needed to cancel the transfer in the middle and remove my phone. Now my phone is freezing like mad, and I absolutely can't connect to my computer (not to mention that freezes it completely.) Removing the SD card seems to help, but not much. Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this?

Aug 18, 2010it took all day but i finally took 1080p avatar and converted it to mp4 to play on my dx. i transferred the mp4 to my sdcard and started to play. plays better than perfect until i started skipping around the movie and noticed when it gets past a certain time (1:40:50) i think it is it stops playing and cant go past. i try the file thats on my laptop and theres no problem with that. i tried downloading other movie players but they cant even play the file at all.

Just have to fix a few things before I release it for download. I am trying to add audio but am having a problem. (open from an email or use in window's movie maker)I have a new computer with Windows seven at work and a Vista laptop at home. I can send the video to myself and try to open in from my email or tether to the computer and transfer the file manually. Either way I can't open with windows media player. Video's taken with default "Camcorder" app on a myTough 3G running Android 1.6.I know it has something to do with the codec's the phone uses but wonder why they wouldn't use codec's that are compatible with the most commonly used pc's?Is there any way around this? Some kind of converter for the computer or for the phone?Is there another camcorder app that can record video with a different codec or is it phone hardware specific?So far have been able to use these forum's to sort out most of my Android problems but I'm stumped on this one. It doesn't seem like it should be this hard to do. Should be more user friendly.
