View 12 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, when I try to install Google Earth, it says Package File invalid. Anyone experience this too? I have 2.1, rooted.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhile trying to update Google Earth, I get an error message that says "Package file was not singed correctly". It seems to download fine, but keeps ending with "Installation unsuccessful".
View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Google Earth link successfully prior to it being available in the Market, and I've used it with no problem. After seeing it in the Market, I figured I'd go ahead and download the Market version, so I'd get updates. However, I can't get a successful download after 10 tries. It keeps saying application not signed, download unsuccessful. Do I need to uninstall my third party link off the phone first? Has anyone else had this problem? Would my current version of Google Earth get update notifications since it didn't come from the Market?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWell I got my Aria yesterday and I have a question. I've tried loading Google Earth onto my phone, but it says its not compatible with my phone. I thought Google Earth worked on any Android phone with 2.1? Am I mistaken? Also, I can't for the life of me figure out how to manually update the Firmware, PRL, etc... like you can on the other Android phones.

Is it possible to share HTC HERO GPS signals/coordinates to a PC/Laptop via USB cable to integrate with Google earth? I noticed it sometime back one of my friend using his Nokia (I remember it was N97 but not 100% sure) phone to do this and also remember he said the latest Google Earth version will support this feature.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated the firmware on my HTC Hero some time ago from Modaco to Firmware 1.5.I just got an N1, so I restored the Hero to give to my wife, and the next thing I noticed is there was no Google Maps. I went in to the Market and again...I couldn't even pull it in a search even though I pulled it in searches on my N1.
Does anyone know what's up here? Do I need to upgrade my firmware? If so, does anyone have a link to the install?
I dont know how to enable sync. There is no application on the market made by google of that name. There is no app preinstalled. Gmail settings doesn't have anything by that name.I have enabled the IMAP and turned of POP3 to get push emails, but its a bit glitchy. So i was looking for Google Sync to see if i had missed out on anything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had recently read about an amazing new Car Dock app pushed out by Google, but when I searched for it on the Android Market, it was nowhere to be found. I then attempted to download it from the web, but all links took me back to the market, where I would receive a 'file not found' message.Did Google remove this app for some reason?

View 36 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to add Google earth app. I tried but says unavailable but I know its available for new software which I have on my hero. I noticed in my settings it says I have no ip address or Bluetooth address how do I fix this & is that why my bluetooth no longer works since upgrading.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've pretty much hit the limit for installed apps on my Desire. Unless I root, which I don't really want to do, or get the official 2.2 update, which could take months and months given HTC's track record, I'm stuck with doing a spot of space management. I've got Google Earth installed and it's far and away the most resource hungry app (22MB) Despite the fact that I really like it, as it's a pretty cool app, I'm wondering if it's of any use at all. With google maps, places directory, Layar etc. I seem to have everything I need for navigation and generally 'finding stuff' I can't think of anything I actually need Google Earth for. Does anyone have a genuine use for this app, can it do anything that I can't do elsewhere? 22MB seems like a lot of valuable space for an app that's just there for novelty value.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI can find it on Androlib but not in the market. Any ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust read that Google Earth is available "only for Nexus One." Then I remembered that DroidMod ROM makes the market think you're running 2.1. And yes, it works. Really well. In all of it pinchy-zoomy goodness.
