I have had the Incredible for a week and was working fine. Recently, I have tried to download some wallpaper and music and they will not download. My wife also has one and I looked at her settings for the SD card and the Unmount SD card is lite. On mine I tap it and it will not lite stays gray.

Is there a way to download movies to the sd card or to the phones memory from the phone? Like downloading a torrent to the phone. Also if that is possible, what would I use to watch it on the device? Even if there is a way I can pay for the movie and watch it from my phone. The hard drive in my laptop cramped the bed so i have to wait for my new one to get here that is why I am wondering if there is a way to do all of this directly from the phone.

I decided that i would send this file to a friend, wanted to send it via text, couldn't figure it out, then tried to send it as an email couldn't figure that out either. I'd rather not have to have it touch the phone's storage as many phones won't have 400 meg free on the phone's storage.

I was able to exchange the phone and I've reloaded my apps and gotten my contacts all back in play. Now I've tried to download my music onto my SD card and it's telling me the SD card is unavailable. Any ideas on what's going on here? I would like to re-format and start over again but that doesn't seem to be an option on my phone.

I am trying to download a file from my tablet (teac tc-971v, 16gb internal storage), but when im trying to download an error pops up saying "an sd card is required to download " happens with any file im trying to download. i have enough storage avaliable (13gb free). I've tryed to download from a different browser (Dolphin).
I've tried to set the destination directory to the internal folder.(btw the default android browser doesnt have this option, only on dolphin browser)
is there any way i can download files to my internal storage without getting an sd card?

View 2 Replies View RelatedCant download anything bigger than 4gb to external sd card. I have a T769 Blaze and have a 32gb external sd card installed, a sandisk hicap. I installed it factory and no luck. Read some forums and formated it to exfat, then ntsf, both read fine and can store up to 4gb but no more, tried all the various apps to get it to store when downloading but always get size limit error. How can I get my OS to allow bigger than 4gb to download to my 32gb sd card. Note: I have no issues when trying to move files from PC to phone, just downloading them from the Internet either by download site or torrent. Got some movies and software I need to get. OS is ics 4.0.4 rooted stock. I am a good pc geek but limited on android/linux skills.

I did the nandroid. I did the titanium. i flashed using rom manager and selected clear cache/data.
ROM loaded perfectly.. and when i went to titanium to restore, nothing was there!
I plugged the phone into the computer, and i can't even view the card.
I can browse the phone's memory, but not the cards.
I'm hoping there's some adb command or something that'll fix this...
I don't want my memory to fill up with all the apps I download. Is there a way to have the apps download to the storage card? I'm assuming that the apps are whats taking up all of my RAM, right?

- I'm executing the code in the device emulator, API level 3 (version 1.5) with an SD card of 512MB. I start the device with "Wipe data user"
- The length of the size from conexion.getContentLength() is 7012725
- The server address is localhost (10.0.2.2), but I've tried with an external server and the behaviour is the same. I've double checked that I can download the file through a web browser.
- I have these permisions in the manifest file:

- It starts downloading the file, I can see the text 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and then it stops at 60. - After a while, the emulator reboots itself.
Workarounds:
