View 5 RepliesHow do I make the SD card the default location for saving things like video and photos? It's a lot bigger than the phone's own storage, but it seems like the only way to put anything there is to move it manually.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had the Incredible for a week and was working fine. Recently, I have tried to download some wallpaper and music and they will not download. My wife also has one and I looked at her settings for the SD card and the Unmount SD card is lite. On mine I tap it and it will not lite stays gray.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've come over from a Window's based phone and love the Incredible, but am having a problem with pictures that I can't find an answer to in the manual.
I simply want to save all the pictures I take with the phone to the SD card so I can transfer the entire file later to dedicated photography software to be cataloged and tweaked.
I can't find how to set up the system so that every photo goes directly to the SD card by default.
Is there a way to download movies to the sd card or to the phones memory from the phone? Like downloading a torrent to the phone. Also if that is possible, what would I use to watch it on the device? Even if there is a way I can pay for the movie and watch it from my phone. The hard drive in my laptop cramped the bed so i have to wait for my new one to get here that is why I am wondering if there is a way to do all of this directly from the phone.

How do I download and app and install onto my SD Card? Do I first need to isntall onto my device then use a file manager program to move it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI went online to check the rates at a local golf course, had to download it to sd card because they have it as a pdf file, no problems. I decided that i would send this file to a friend, wanted to send it via text, couldn't figure it out, then tried to send it as an email couldn't figure that out either. There must be a way to do this, or maybe I need a app that I don't know about. Any help would be great, Thanks

I tried to use the SDK and grab the .apk but my phone is not being recognized. I don't know if that is a 2.1 issue or not, but it worked fine with 1.5.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, i've lost the default image viewer. My phone had a minor update which changed the way it receives further updates and added Backup & Restore.
But since I have lost the default image viewer. So without crappy mediascape I'm no longer able to click through my images, zoom and set as wallpaper. Has anyone else come across this? Is there a way I can download default software again? Pretty agrovate about this, x10 has been a nightmare since day 1.
I accidentally formated my HTC hero default SD card (due to misunderstanding the SD card is unformatted when I can't see with PC).
I would like to put back all the htc hero SD card default content. I can't do that with reset the htc hero phone or some unformatted freeware. So can someone please help me on this ? either send me all the htc hero default contents in zip or point me to a site to download them.
Newbie here so please be gentle. I own a HD2 but I am posting this for a friend who is having a problem with his Desire. How does he set the memory card as his default storage instead of the internal phone memory ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to find a setting on the phone that directs storage to the handset or the card so if a card is installed does that just make it the default storage dump then? I'm confused.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to set my default contact card in Android. When I open the contacts app (People) there is an entry for my Facebook account that says "My Contact Card" but I don't really use Facebook. All my info is in an entry in Google contacts. How can I change the default contact card? Also, this might be related. When I text with my girlfriend her picture shows up but mine does not. All contact entries for me have my picture so I'm wondering if it has to do with my default contact card.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI actually like the default ringer type sound that comes standard as the SD card mounting sound.I'd like for it to be my ringer.I actually got it to work once using tone picker app but it wasn't perfect and had some quirks when using it.What I'd like to do is find the actual file and make a copy of it in my ringer folder(I have root access). But I looked high and low and cannot find where that default sound is on my droid.Anyone know?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a 100 meg zip file that I need to download when the app first starts. It needs to unzip to the SD card (400 meg).
I'd rather not have to have it touch the phone's storage as many phones won't have 400 meg free on the phone's storage.
Can this be done (any one have an example?)
Does all apps etc get saved by default to the phone memory or the SD card?? Also, when I plug in via the USB cable and want to transfer some videos and photos across from my old phone, are they saved to the SD card? Is there any way of checking what is saved to where?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI discovered something interesting today. I installed some custom ringtones to my SD card last night by creating a ringtones folder on the SD card and copying the ringtones into that folder.
I then selected one of the custom ringtones as my default ringer.
Today my battery was drained over 60% by 11am. (unplugged at 6:30am)
Before adding the custom ringtones, I was easily making it to the evening hours without any battery problems.
I checked the battery status and was alarmed to see that my up time and awake time were nearly 1 for 1!
I rebooted the phone thinking there was a run away app. After being up for an hour, same problem, a 1 to 1 ratio.
The battery use indicated Cell Standy as number 1 with Android System as number 2.
I knew something was wrong as usually Phone Idle is number 2 in my list.
So, I deleted the Ringtones folder I created on the SD card and rebooted.
I checked the phone over the last couple hours and awake time an up times are back to normal, as is my battery use indicator.
Long story short, it appears that the system may have been staying awake to keep the SD card powered since my default ringtone resided on the SD card?
just bought the evo a week ago and would like to download my music from my folders on my pc to the sd card. have been looking on this forum for about one and half hours cant find it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWorked great for a while, got all my songs and other media loaded up and my phone went on the fritz. I was able to exchange the phone and I've reloaded my apps and gotten my contacts all back in play. Now I've tried to download my music onto my SD card and it's telling me the SD card is unavailable. Any ideas on what's going on here? I would like to re-format and start over again but that doesn't seem to be an option on my phone.
