Is anybody else losing their 3G connection on the DINC? My phone has recently started to randomly drop 3G so that I am unable to surf the web, receive emails etc. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? I live in South Florida where 3G has always been fine. I would greatly appreciate anybody's input. Rebooting the phone helps for a while.

Anyone else having an issue with their WiFi dropping at random times? I'm about 25' from my Verizon router, so signal strength isn't an issue. I don't even know when it's happening most of the time. I only realize because opening a page or downloading something is slow. I have the Sleep Policy set to Never, so it's not that. The strange thing is is I go into Wireless Settings, as soon as I click on Wireless, it picks the router back up and reconnects. I have several other devices on WiFi here and they are all working perfectly fine.

I tried restarting the phone and it still is doing it. I also looked on my brother's Evo and his has connection when mine does not so I know it is not a problem with our tower, any suggestions on what to do.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted Evo 4G currently running the latest Fresh. Also running the current Wireless Tether App 2.0.5 pre 9. I am always having a problem of the client computer just dropping connection and no longer can find the broadcasting signal. Seems like the phone just stops broadcasting randomly. Only way to fix it is to disable and then enable the wireless tethering again. This happens about every 10-15 minutes, on any computer I try. Work, home, shop, everywhere. I also tried wiping the phone completely and re-installing the app. Is there a more reliable wireless tether app out there?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have program that runs a bluetooth connection. The socket connects fine. We then read/write from the related streams. This works fine for about a minute, then we start to get IOExceptions from the InputStream.available() and OutputStream.write() functions. The IOException indicates that the socket has been closed. Could anybody take a stab at what might be going on here?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi've had my droidx since it came out. Its always worked great. but for the last two weeks or so it has been VERY annoying. App for chatting like AIN or trillian do not connect long enough or well enough to talk to people. My service is also lagging as well as wifi. And my market is very very bad with loading. Any suggestions? I do not have an automatic task killer. And i do use juicedefender, but on days i leave it off i have the same problem.

All of a sudden the last two days my phone has been restarting randomly, mostly like two minutes into using the phone. It doesn't though go to the HTC Incredible screen but rather the HTC Quietly Brilliant, quickly to Verizon Wireless screen and into the OS. I see the CPU doing heavy duty work using all but 100% yet I checked System Panel and I don't see anything using that much usage. Again this has just started the last two days or so. Never before have I had this problem. Anyone else just in the last few days?
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy incredible reboots randomly, first noticed one while on a phone call with my dad. It was over bluetooth in car with navigation & gps on. It rebooted mid conversation. I was on 95 in baltimore with 4 bars and 3g. Everything since has been while listening to slacker. Either while phone is sitting there or while surffing the web. Once was while listening in the car in philadelphia on 95 no navigation (always 2-3 bars and 3g) and it didn't start crashing until about two weeks ago. Every crash has been while plugged into a charger also. I haven't noticed any crashes off charger.

I'm not sure when it started exactly but I'm sure it was after I updated to OTA 2.2.It's not hot or does anything else just that the screen turns on, stays on for like 2 seconds, and than the screen turns off. View 11 Replies View RelatedFor about a week now the Internet is not accessible randomly on my phone. Either a site will not load at all, or I will get a partial page. Either way, something is messed up. I've called Verizon about this a few times and they can't figure it out. They had me check some settings on my phone, checked my version, done the #228 thing, checked the towers. Now they say that the only other options are to replace my phone or reset the whole thing to factory.
I've been through too many phones. I'm done with switching phones and resetting them. And I can't believe that it's the phone or Google as the last person suggested. I use a lot of data. I'm up to 1GB right now and still have 19 more days in the billing cycle. I think they are throttling my connection.
So I have juicedefender and I enable that at work to shut off my data for 50 minutes out of every hour. I disable the app when I return home so I can always be receiving data.
With that said, I will be texting my girlfriend, shut my screen off and the notification sound does not ring when she sends me a text. The only reason I know she sends me a text is because I will go to Gv on my laptop and see she sent me a msg.
I looked into my battery mode settings and it is setup to shut off data after 15 minutes of inactivity during non peak hours (midnight to 8am) and set to 60 mins or never for peak hours, however my phone was never inactive for that time period.
My question is, what else could be shutting my data on/off if juicedefender is disabled and my battery profile is set up correctly ( i even changed it to performance and i didnt hear the notification, yes the notification vol. is up)
I randomly lose my data connection. It happens whether I'm using 3g or wi- fi. And it doesn't matter witch rom I got flashed on my hero. I've been rooted for quite some time now, so I doubt I'm making a noob mistake. Although I'm no rom writer, so I could missing something.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen i'm connected to my router at home via wifi, the connection randomly drops from time to time. My laptop and TV is fine which are both running via the internet. The setting is set to stay connected always, even when the screen goes black.
Does anyone have a resolution for this? Perhaps static IP? if this is the answer, what should the settings be?
I got a new Droid (new verizon customer) last Friday. Twice now I have lost 3G downsignal only (which effectively means no data connection). To be clear, I still have the 3G signal icon on my phone, and all my apps are uploading data (according to the icon) however no data is being sent back down. I've tried waiting 10 minutes and tried going in and out of airplane mode (3G icon does come back after leaving airplane mode) however I still don't have downstream connection, only upstream.
The only way I have fixed this is to reboot the phone, which sucks. Has anyone had this issue? I'm not sure i'll be able to get a replacement (even with insurance) unless I can reproduce it in front of Verizon reps, so I'm not sure what I should do about it.
I've been using my Desire on the net a bit today and a few times its decided to just drop back to the phone home screen and out of the internet all together.The back of the phone has got a bit warm so I'm wondering if its overheating and quitting out - has anyone else experienced this and is it normal?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHey fellow Galaxy users on the Bell network. Are any of you having problems with your phone dropping 3G and the only way to get it back on is to reboot your phone?
I'm running Galaxo 1.6.3.3 but even when I was running Samsung's 1.6 release at least twice a week it'll just drop the 3G signal. As far as I can tell there's no rhyme or reason for it. I'll notice that I haven't heard any notifications in a while (usually if I hear it tell me that I've got an email I just check it on the computer I'm on) and when I check it the signal is dropped. There's no pattern for it, I've sent texts or made phone calls and it worked fine, 1/2 hour later....nothing.
Just wondering if it's just me or if others are having the same problem. Maybe if it's just me I can try to swing a deal with Bell for a Legend (like the Galaxy but can't stand the official support (Drakaz, on the other hand, is my hero)).
