I was wondering if Outlook can be sync up with the Incredible via bluetooth connection instead of USB? More important I would love to have a bluetooth connection with my home PC and able to transfer files to and from my Incredible.

Its just annoying having the usb cable double as the AC charger connection too. I have to keep moving it from the bedroom to the laptop every day. Why didn't they give us a separate usb cable and ac charger in the box?
I finally got my work email sync'd on my Android phone (Outlook). However, all my annoying meetings from work are now popping up as "notifications" in my phone's status bar. I can't stand corporate meetings, which are a colossal waster of time, and i don't want to be reminded of all the meetings on my work schedule. I was able to successfully turn of the Outlook mail notifications on my phone (and I still get Gmail notifications, since they are two separate email systems, which is exactly what I want). How do I turn my "Outlook calendar reminders," but still be reminded of my Google Calendar reminders, which is my personal, and far more important, calendar?

I would like some very simple straight forward answers in lay person language. I work in a company that uses Microsoft exchange and outlook. I currently have a blackberry that syncs everything wireless and seamlessly (ie., contacts, emails, tasks, calendars, notes). I would like to get a new Verizon Indredible but company does not and won't enable active sync (whatever that is). My question is is there a program that I can install directly onto my office PC myself that will "push" or otherwise wirelessly sync all of my outlook information that is currently synced on my Blackberry? Pardon my ignorance.

I noticed that some of my contacts weren't making it to my contact list on my phone, but they were on my PC. It was very random. Some were there, but some weren't. I was trying to fix it just now and somehow deleted 52 contacts from my PC!I guess when it sync'd this time, it used the contact list on the phone as the primary and since those 52 contacts weren't on the phone...it just deleted them from my Outlook. Very frustrating because I don't know which ones were deleted.

Now the good news for those of us needing Outlook, Simply download HTC Sync for Eris (I am using the Incredible) found here HTC Mobile Phone Support - DROID ERIS by HTC (Verizon) - Downloads Install on your computer (also download the manual from the same page). Restart your computer. Attach your powered off phone to the computer via the USB cable, power it on and when prompted select "HTC Sync" (in order to see the selections your screen cannot be in locked mode) Hope this is complete, I believe it is. View 5 Replies View RelatedI came to the Incredible from a Blackberry, and to sync my Google Calendar/work Outlook Calendar/Blackberry Calendar required me to export my Outlook Calendar as a .CSV, delete my Google Calendar, import the .CSV to Google, delete the Blackberry Calendar, and then run Google Sync.On the Incredible, I could not find how to delete the cached calendar until this morning. Just go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, Calendar Storage, then click Clear data. Then back out to Settings, select Accounts & sync, then click Sync all.Befor someone suggusts that I can just use the HTC Sync to cut the steps down, I cannot connect the Incredible to my work PC, and even if I could, I cannot run any "unapproved" software, and work won't approve of HTC Sync since they dont see a "business purpose" to it.

They change, but show up twice on my DINC: same event, same time, same place, etc., but only once via PC.I am trying to solve and here's a question: when you go to calendar > menu > more > Calendars > what choices do you have and what do you have checked? I have "'My Calendar"; "Exchange"; and "PC Sync" and I feel like I should only have one checked, but don't knwo which one. I am new to Droid and want to stay, but this is killing me.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to sync my Calendar and Contacts from Outlook to the Incredible. For multiple reasons, going from Outlook to Gmail to Incredible is not an option for me. I installed HTC Sync and was able to get all 800+ of my contacts to the Incredible. But the Sync keeps failing when it tries to move my Calendar over. I've left the default setting to sync future appointments and 20 days before today. Sometimes the HTC Sync software seems to freeze, but most times it does connect to the phone but eventually gives me a timeout/failed to connect message. I've tried rebooting both PC and phone but the problem persists. Running Outlook 2007 on XP SP3 machine. Running HTC Sync 2.0.25 that came on the phone (as apparently there isn't a version for Incredible avail to d/l from HTC support yet).

I turn it on and with 15 seconds, it turns off. It will pair with my car but than disconnects when the bluetooth turns off. Took out the battery and that did not work. HTC Sync that came with it flew off my system when after about a week it suddenly started to remove ALL items (from the device as well as from the desktop)! Fortunately I had a backup that was only a day old, so not much lost. Next I tried "Missing Sync" but that program lives up to its name - it's sync is still missing! Instead reproducible crashes due to SQLite exceptions - clearly some programming error. So, IS there ANY option to sync an HTC Desire / Android 2.1 phone decently with a desktop Outlook 2007? Or do I really have to revert to my previous Windows Mobile phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm brand new to the Android world and, in fact, don't even have a phone yet. However, I'll be picking up the LG Optimus S w/Sprint in the next day or so. All my information (email, calendar, contacts, notes, etc) are all managed in Outlook (stand alone, not Exchange). I've been told that there's no way to sync directly from Outlook to an Android phone so I'm looking for the cheapest way to accomplish that and have good results.
My emails come through Gmail so that part is already done. I use Google's Calendar Sync program so my calendar is already in my Gmail account so that is also done. The contacts and notes are only in Outlook so that's where my main question lies..........
Here's my current setup which I'm assuming I may have to modify. Current Phone: Palm Centro I have an external email account and a Gmail account. My Gmail account is setup to check my other account via Gmail's POP3 system. I then use MS Outlook to check my Gmail account. All my data is in Outlook. Calendar, Contacts, and emails. I'm getting a new Android phone and need to get the same contacts and such onto there.
Technically, the same emails that are in Outlook are in Gmail so that's not a problem.
I also use Google's Calendar sync program so my outlook calendar is also in Gmail so I assume that wouldn't be a problem either. This leaves me with my contacts. Is there a preferred program that will sync my outlook contacts to Gmail like I do with my calendar? Or is there some other way that people have used that works just as well? I will continue to use Outlook as my primary contact/calendar management program but just want everything to sync across to the phone.
I have managed to get my HTC sync work with my Windows 7 and it connects to my phone and says it is syncronishing but then nothing transfers from my phone to my Outlook. Does anyone know where I am going wrong or what I can try?
