Guys when i try to use the camcorder on my desire it freezes and sometimes makes a terrible squealing noise then restarts my phone can anyone help?I have just done a factory reset and its still not fixed it.

I've never really used the video-recording until today. After maybe 3-5 seconds of recording, my phone will automatically restart. It's happened 3 out of 3 times, and one of those times it was stuck on the big M [battery pull fixed it]. I am rooted, but not running any ROMs or Themes. I am overclocked to 1.45ghz [if this makes a difference].

View 9 Replies View RelatedSince 3 years I had upgraded my Android 2.1 Flytouch 10.1 Tablet into Flytouch 2.2. #3245 version, without any major problems.
My only problem was that I was not able to use Titanium back up and some other apps unless I was rooted, so after many attempts.I succeeded to root it and to be able to use it. Until the time I decided to upgrade my BusyBox to the latest version. After that I rebooted.my tablet with success but only for once because since then it freezes at start up.
what should I do to make my application to be restarted automatically after the phone has been powered-off and powered-on again? I read that regular alarms do not survive phone reboots so, I'm assuming there should be a way to do it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI updated my Eris to 2.1 about a month ago, and it's been running fine up until about last week. Lately, the battery hasn't been lasting me more than 12 hours, and I've done everything I can to save battery life, plus the battery cover usually gets hot enough to cook some eggs on top of. The problems I've encountered lately is with making and receiving calls. When trying to call someone, it seems to take forever. I know my phone isn't the fastest Android, but it used to work fine. It takes a good 30 seconds just to type in a 10 digit number; the phone usually freezes a couple of times, its just generally laggy.
When I try to receive a call, the same basic thing happens. The phone freezes up while I am trying to slide the bar down on the lock screen, etc. Here's the main issue. After sifting through the freezing and lagging, and finally get to the call, I cannot hear anything, and they cannot hear me. The call is connected; I see the notification up top, and I have got the vibrate to tell me it's connected.
I have noticed that when aps restart my phone, it takes about 15 to 20 seconds to restart When i Power down, it takes MINUTES!Does anyone know of simple restart app I could use to avoid this? If not, anyone know someone who could make one?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am developing a ToDo reminder type of app for android. on creation of a new reminder an alarm and vibrator scheduler is created with a toast. This works on intents and broadcasts and is pretty straight forward stuff with putextras using the reminder id from the db. My problem is, if some one restart the phone, i guess all the scheduled alarm and vibrator tasks for the reminder will be killed. Once the phone restart again how to recreate the scheduler tasks.

Few little problems here and there (Music Genre, Battery life etc) but the one main thing that is really bugging me is, that if I lose reception (I live in a area with lots of valleys), it will never regain reception even if I enter a town centre or City. I always have to either switch Airplane mode on then off. Or more often than not, turn the phone off completely and switch it back on, where it then finds reception straight away.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIf you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
Just want to make sure this is normal. Does anyone else's camera make tons of noise while constantly refocusing in barcode scanning apps? I can't remember where I read it but I know I read something about all the clicking noises being a bad sign.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I downloaded Tasker and created a profile that's supposed to silence my phone when it's plugged in at night, and it almost works. Tasker says the profile is active and I can see the "silent" icon in the notification bar, but texts and emails still make noise. As far as I can tell, Silent Mode is also supposed to silence notifications, but it's not working for me. I'm using Handcent SMS and Gmail.

I was pretty sure that you used to be able to zoom in the camcorder (I mean before you start recording), but tried it today and can't pinch to zoom nor is there anyway to get up the onscreen control. Also, in still picture mode, pinch to zoom doesn't work, though it is still possible to zoom using the onscreen control.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to use the camcorder bit of my HTC Desire, and need to use it quite urgently. Wouldn't you know the damn thing has gone buggy just as I need to use it. It will NOT record, and it freezes the phone. Only putting it to sleep, or holding the Home key and choosing another recent app will stop it. However, it jams up the whole phone, which is evident when I check on System Panel, the CPU is constantly running at 100% Ridiculous. say I've ever seen a problem like this before, but I suppose I've not used the camcorder bit since the 2.2 update. I am at a loss at the moment as to what to do. I'll be honest and say my phone has experienced odd problems since getting that update. The extra "features" really aren't worth the bother I am now having.

View 18 Replies View RelatedSome days ago I created a thread asking about random freezes/restarts.Well, Google Play is now freezing every time I try to check for an app, I've also realized the cache thingy only works for a while, I went on a trip, now that Im back the tablet freezes again and all.Should I just cache wipe everytime this happens, or just once? Is it safe to cache wipe really often?

Strange noise after tether to PC in disk mode? When I plug my desire into the PC and press disk mode there is a sound its like a static sound and every couple of seconds a whistle and the only way to stop it is to turn the phone off and on.

Does anyone know what this could be.
I'm a little disappointed with the Evo's camera and camcorder. It's kind of fuzzy and the sound is pretty bad. Is this a hardware issue or a software issue? Is there a hack you can do to make it better? I heard somewhere its a compression and fps issue. Please don't give me answers like "the Evo's quality is great" or "get a real camera".
View 6 Replies View RelatedI rooted using unrevoked 3, installed unrevoked forever & radio update as well as cyanogenmod. now when i go to use the camcorder it freezes the phone and reboots every time. i thought the radio update was to allow the use of the camcorder? any help would be very much appreciated as i am still VERY new to all of this. just been using guides set up on these forums as walkthroughs.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHad my desire a couple of weeks and it has started playing up.Whenever I try and open any app that uses 3d my screen freezes and the only way to reset the phone is by removing the battery.I've tried factory resetting the phone but the problem seems to be getting worse. Looks like it will be getting returned on Tuesday.
