Apr 27, 2010Seems like fedex is not updating their tracking anymore on 2nd day deliveries. My package seems like it's being walked up from LA to Seattle. I'm glad companies can go green but this is ridiculous.

I know it has been posted on here before...but I couldn't find it and I am not sure if it's the same page the other person posted but here is a link to life tracking of different cargo planes (leaving Memphis and other destinations) on the left search for FDX which is fed ex.it shows all locations....for Memphis...I would say go to the top left and do a live tracking and look for FDX going out to wherever your destination is.
HTC Incredible :: Shipping To FedEx Hold At Facility?
Apr 22, 2010Is anyone here having their Incredible shipped to a FedEx Hold-At center (e.g. FedEx Office Center)? I'm at work all day so I won't be home to sign for the package, and the pick-up center isn't close to my house. But there is a FedEx Hold-At center very close to my work. I could easily pick it up there during the work day. Just curious if anyone else is doing this, or if it's even allowed (due to possible billing address issue)? I called CSR and they said I can't do it, but she didn't sound very confident about that.

Apr 27, 2010My phone was shipped out yesterday morning and is set to be delivered tomorrow sometime. but right now its in oakland, about 35-40 minutes from my house, taunting me. im really thinking about picking it up myself, but i cant figure out how to find which office its in or where the office is located. a quick google search for fedex office in oakland only brought up the fedex print & ship centers, and a few that just say fedex and one fedex express. anyone know what office it might be at?

Apr 27, 2010How many people have pre-ordered the Incredible but have not received a FedEx tracking number yet? My internet order # is 52001xxxx and it says "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days." for order status, but Verizon can not tell if it has shipped yet and do not have a tracking number yet. I have called several times yesterday and today and have heard it should be here Wend, then it should be here Thursday and maybe it might be here Friday. nobody really know when the heck I'll receive it.

Apr 28, 2010I ordered my Incredible today, online and received my shipment notice within an hour. I noticed on the shipment notification that FedEx requires a signature upon delivery. I'm not too familiar with FedEx so i was wondering if anyone has had experience with this. I will not be home so i was wondering if i can leave a note for the FedEx person to leave the package on my doorstep or if they'll leave a note saying they were there and will try again the next day. (Like UPS) Another day won't kill me, but i'd like to charge it and play with it tomorrow when i WILL be home.

But would be really great to have a simple database app to work with this where i could scan the barcode before I drop the package in the drop box and store it with some notes so i can look it up from my phone at any time.

Dec 8, 2009I am currently awaiting my Eris delivery, any minute now. Luckily the delivery landed on my day off from work so i'll have some time to tinker with it and learn it. It's my very first smartphone, i'm coming from an Env2 and got the Eris for $49.99 under the NE2 plan. Any tips for when I first get it? As soon as I open it? May 19, 2010This folder includes screen shots that are used for Internet Browser bookmarks. It also includes screen shots of web pages that I did not choose to bookmark. When I clear cache while in "Internet" in "Manage Applications" it does not remove these jpg files that are not being used for bookmarks. When I clear everything while in Internet app (in settings) it does not remove these jpg files either. It also does not remove them from within the HistoryEraser app. The only way I can remove the jpg files is with Astro or when connected to PC. I have to go through them and erase jpgs that I do not want there.
There were 72 jpg files in that directory and they go all the way back to when I got phone (on 4/29). I have only added 5 bookmarks myself during that time. They do not take up a lot of space but I just don't want them there.

Jun 2, 2010I have my original gmail account "slaved" to my google apps account, so when I log in to user@gmail.com it displays my google apps user@domain.com as being logged in. For most things this is great, but now with the android phone there are some gotchya's First was the Market. I had to create yet another gmail account to buy anything off the market, because when I sign in to my 'gmail' account on my phone it signs me in as an apps user.
Second, is my google voice (attached to gmail) has its own set of contacts associated with my gmail account, and they are not synced with my google apps account. I was hoping the phone would sort of mesh them together, however I'm not seeing that. On my iPhone I was using soocial, however they recently stopped allowing unlimited contacts and their new free limit is below my number of contacts. Is there a way for the phone to keep these to contact lists "connected" and synced together?

Apr 26, 2010I bought an Eris on the 28th, but returned it sunday within the 30 day grace period to wait for the incredible. And its killing me xD.I had to switch back to my winmo 6.1 HTC vx6900, and switching back from android is rough. Truly, it is a day to day struggle that we must cope with one step at a time. Tasks that used to be so simple, like editing a contact or sending a text, are now unwieldy by comparison.Who else here has had to do this? Am I alone in having to deal with this?

Nov 30, 2010I had a rooted Incredible using this method before however I had a problem with the on screen keyboard so I got a replacement. The replacement just came yesterday. Now I am rooting the replacement and the Unrevoked 3 program gets stuck at "Waiting for root... (Safe to restart if this doesn't work)"
I have the HBOOT drivers installed and my phone comes up in device manager as "Android Composite ADB Interface"
Did they apply a new update to the phone that prevents rooting? If so how long before I can get around it?

My question is, how can I wirelessly stream music or Pandora from my phone to my car (Altima does not have an aux jack). I know my car is capable because I was able to do this with my old Blackberry (exactly how I don't remember, it was an intricate process of pressing random buttons).

May 24, 2010So i was out the other night with a few friends and we decided to race our phones going to various web sites. We laid all three phones down in a triangle next to each other. We would all type in the same web site and hit go at the same time. My incredible was killing them. Compared to the droid, the incredible would load the site about 5 seconds faster. The iphone was not even close. One site took about 15 to 20 seconds longer to load on the iPhone. They were shocked at how fast the incredible was. I am so glad I have this phone!

I am missing events! May 1, 2010Well i plan on developing for android now and figure i'd sign up.I've only had it only for like 1.5 days now, installed a few apps here or there. Well i installed pandora and have pandora one, i've also bluetooth'd it to my car stereo on the way home yesterday.Well tonite i was messing around it some more and noticed there are about 8 songs that i didn't download or transfer in the HTC Music player, they are songs/artist that i've possibly listen to in pandora. I'm not sure if pandora downloads songs and the htc player picked found them. So i tried to play a couple songs, skip a few and nothing new appeared in the htc player.

Jun 6, 2010I am having an issue with my HTC Droid Incredible. When going to Settings>Wireless and networks and looking under Mobile Network, it says "Turning on." However, it stays in that mode and never "turns on."Things I have tried
1. Restart the phone/taking the battery out
2. Reset the phone to factory settings by going to Privacy in Settings
3. Contact Verizon and have them remove and re-add the data plan
I have noticed that, when I call *228, and try to activate the phone, it says an error occurred and it could not activate the phone. I can make phone calls from the phone, but cannot do anything that requires a data plan, meaning that it is an issue with that. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Jun 8, 2010I just received a Droid Incredible and I believe it's a great phone, but there is one thing on it that makes it difficult for me to fully enjoy using it. I use the calendar everyday to type meetings, appointments, and reminders. I noticed that when I try to type anything using either calendar (HTC or Google's calendar), the portrait orientation is the only option that is offered. I know that the landscape keyboard is available for everything else (text messages, internet, etc.), but I'm forced to type all of my calendar appointments using the portrait keyboard. This slows down my typing whenever I use the calendar. I tried using the voice to text option to input text, but it is not always accurate. Is there an option under calendars that I did not find that makes it possible for me to type in the landscape orientation or do I need to download an app that will make it possible to type in the calendar using the landscape keyboard?

May 10, 2010I think I've found the battery culprit on my wife's new Incredible. We both got new Incredibles and pretty much set them up the same, except she has to use Good for Enterprise to manage her company email/calender. My phone sleeps like it should, but her phone has been awake 100% of the time since she downloaded Good. After a week of trying to figure out what is keeping her phone from sleeping, I think I have found the answer (and developed a mild case of OCD).
My question is: does anyone know how to set the sync interval for Good? The problem seems to be that it is constantly syncing, which never allows the phone to go to sleep (Up time = Awake time).

Jul 4, 2010I've had this problem since I bought my Droid Inc over a month ago but I haven't posted about it until now.Whenever I type a new URL into the stock browser, if I press any letter, a list of sites pop up that aren't my favorites. Some of these sites are Asian, and I know that others are known spyware sites.What the hell is this stuff? I've never been to any of these sites on my phone, and these aren't my favorites.I noticed this happening the day I bought my Droid Inc and before I installed any third-party apps. Could Google be behind this? Doubleclick is one of the sites that pops up on this thing too.

Aug 21, 2010I'm playing with a Droid Incredible my wife got from her company because I'm thinking of buying one.I do photography and I have a website.The images aren't huge maybe 600 x 800 pixels but that's bigger than the screen resolution of the Incredible so I can't view them on the built-in browser without panning around.A normal PC browser is smart enough to shrink the image to fit the browser window.Also, my wife's iPhone handles this with no problem. How do I get the browser on the Droid Incredible to do that?

May 4, 2010I came to the Incredible from a Blackberry, and to sync my Google Calendar/work Outlook Calendar/Blackberry Calendar required me to export my Outlook Calendar as a .CSV, delete my Google Calendar, import the .CSV to Google, delete the Blackberry Calendar, and then run Google Sync.On the Incredible, I could not find how to delete the cached calendar until this morning. Just go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, Calendar Storage, then click Clear data. Then back out to Settings, select Accounts & sync, then click Sync all.Befor someone suggusts that I can just use the HTC Sync to cut the steps down, I cannot connect the Incredible to my work PC, and even if I could, I cannot run any "unapproved" software, and work won't approve of HTC Sync since they dont see a "business purpose" to it.
