HTC Incredible :: Shipping To FedEx Hold At Facility?

Is anyone here having their Incredible shipped to a FedEx Hold-At center (e.g. FedEx Office Center)? I'm at work all day so I won't be home to sign for the package, and the pick-up center isn't close to my house. But there is a FedEx Hold-At center very close to my work. I could easily pick it up there during the work day. Just curious if anyone else is doing this, or if it's even allowed (due to possible billing address issue)? I called CSR and they said I can't do it, but she didn't sound very confident about that.

I've used the barcode scanner to scan fedex and ups packages and look up the tracking information. But would be really great to have a simple database app to work with this where i could scan the barcode before I drop the package in the drop box and store it with some notes so i can look it up from my phone at any time.

Seems like fedex is not updating their tracking anymore on 2nd day deliveries. My package seems like it's being walked up from LA to Seattle. I'm glad companies can go green but this is ridiculous.

Since ppl are going crazy about where their phone is and when it will arrive.maybe this helps some of you
I know it has been posted on here before...but I couldn't find it and I am not sure if it's the same page the other person posted but here is a link to life tracking of different cargo planes (leaving Memphis and other destinations) on the left search for FDX which is fed ex.it shows all locations....for Memphis...I would say go to the top left and do a live tracking and look for FDX going out to wherever your destination is.

My phone was shipped out yesterday morning and is set to be delivered tomorrow sometime. but right now its in oakland, about 35-40 minutes from my house, taunting me. im really thinking about picking it up myself, but i cant figure out how to find which office its in or where the office is located. a quick google search for fedex office in oakland only brought up the fedex print & ship centers, and a few that just say fedex and one fedex express. anyone know what office it might be at?

How many people have pre-ordered the Incredible but have not received a FedEx tracking number yet? My internet order # is 52001xxxx and it says "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days." for order status, but Verizon can not tell if it has shipped yet and do not have a tracking number yet. I have called several times yesterday and today and have heard it should be here Wend, then it should be here Thursday and maybe it might be here Friday. nobody really know when the heck I'll receive it.

I ordered my Incredible today, online and received my shipment notice within an hour. I noticed on the shipment notification that FedEx requires a signature upon delivery. I'm not too familiar with FedEx so i was wondering if anyone has had experience with this. I will not be home so i was wondering if i can leave a note for the FedEx person to leave the package on my doorstep or if they'll leave a note saying they were there and will try again the next day. (Like UPS) Another day won't kill me, but i'd like to charge it and play with it tomorrow when i WILL be home.

If I am on a call and get a second, incoming call. Second call will take a while, so I switch back to first call and say, "Ill call you back." I can't seem to switch to the second call and have the first call drop off, such that there's no longer a "call waiting" screen, EVEN IF the first caller hangs up himself/herself. How can I end the call on hold WITHOUT ending both calls?

I have an issue with switching between two calls.
You know the screen that shows one call on hold and the other call as active? Say I click on the call that's holding because the first call hung up. My problem is that the first call still shows as holding.
If I simply end the first call, the phone will end ALL calls, and I think this is bad design: the call you're on should be disconnected and the call waiting should become active by default, if you hang up on the first call.
How do I switch to the call holding and get rid of the other call (so, I come out of the call waiting screen back to a regular, "in session" screen") that's no longer in session (other end has hung up)? I

Where do I go to download or how do I get a hold of the sync program for my droid incredible phone if I happen to connect it to the PC? Also, while I am at it. I noticed that a lot of people have the weather cool looking feature on their phones, does that use up your data or is that part of the phone like the clock is?

Not sure if this is a problem with the phone or not-also not sure if it was like it when I got it. I just became aware of the issue on Saturday night.I had the phone on a table and was holding it horizontally-I was trying to get it to switch to landscape view (so I could use full keyboard ) and could not get it to do so. The only sure way I can get it to switch to landscape view is to hold the phone vertically and then have it switch.Is there something wrong with the phone?

A poster said a week ago that basically putting one finger on the top left of your phone with a second on the lower left corner improves signal strength.
Well it works really well at my job (inside a big building) where I usually hover at 100db but using this method I get about 88-90db and adds 2 bars.
So my question is can I do something (or add something) that will duplicate that effect without having to hold my phone with a couple of fingers?

I got my HTC Desire yesterday. It seems that Goggle Maps are not A-GPS. Either they need wireless or 3G. 3G plan can become expensive if not being too careful. So the question is: what application has A-GPS facility for HTC Desire? You know have those maps on SD Card and what you need is a GPS connection.

Maybe I'm having a senior moment, but its been driving me nuts for weeks where is the facility to select some or all of the unread emails in a mailbox as being read?I'm using HTC email widget (the one showing individual emails per screen if that makes any difference)

The face recognition thing on my X10, which used to put contacts' name by their pictures, now seems not to be working. It was never perfect, of course, but it doesn't seem to be working at all now. Photos that were marked with people's names now longer show the information tags, with the exception of very few.
Could it be that I have somehow turned off the facility? I have used Advanced Task Manager to kill a few applications, but if so I can't find how to switch it back on.
The only thing I have done recently is to arrange photos in to different folders, using the SE file manager on the computer. Might this have affected it? I am beginning to tear out what's left of my hair. Can anyone offer any suggestions, please?

I got an email telling me that it shipped 2 weeks ago, and it is still not here (they dont track).. so Im wondering if they use some ultra slow method of shipping or something.

I am currently awaiting my Eris delivery, any minute now. Luckily the delivery landed on my day off from work so i'll have some time to tinker with it and learn it. It's my very first smartphone, i'm coming from an Env2 and got the Eris for $49.99 under the NE2 plan. Any tips for when I first get it? As soon as I open it? Should I fully charge it before anything? Or just jump right in and start playing? Thanks all and I am sure this is my first thread of many. I'm liking it here already

I'm developing in eclipse. I use the Android tools export facility to export a signed .apk file for distribution.
I want to run this either on my G1 or the emulator without eclipse being involved. I've already messed up a couple of times and accidentally tested my source code rather than the .apk file and am trying to avoid this.
On a related note, the export signed .apk facility seems to grab "stale" stuff sometimes. How do I do a "clean release build" to make sure I get the latest code in my release?

I placed my order for a Droid X for me and my wife on Friday at 6pm and I got notification that I will receive them both TODAY.I am pretty excited to get rid of my iPhone 3G and her to get rid of the dreaded Sidekick. I think she might be the last person on Earth with a Sidekick. But this will be our first Android phones and I am sure there will be a learning curve but I am a pretty big computer geek so it should be fun. I am sure I will be asking plenty of questions as well.

I just can't help but wonder if the Droid X is going to be released with 2.1 deliberately. I mean, of course its deliberate but I believe it can be considered a Vanilla class device, so it kinda makes sense. Look at it like just another way to beat out the iPhone 4, since there will undoubtedly be a root for the X within days. The fact that it has 2.1 upon shipping makes it that much easier I would think. I know it has some degree of Moto's custom tweaks but there should be much demand to root this phone I would think. Then again maybe for most people the addition of wifi tethering the legit way on 2.2 would deter people especially since its clocked at 1ghz.

The popup more specifically shows you running programs which I assumed would be intrepreted as recently used programs, but apparently I was not specific enough. If you press and hold the home icon, you get a popup with recently used programs.

So i am programming a Quiz app for a school program, The app has 10 pages with a question on each.
On the question pages i have a next button, and back button, a textView and a radioGroup with 4 radioButtons. I want my code to be able to hold the data, so that if say 1 question is answered with the 3rd. radiobutton the app holds this data while i continue to the next page.
