HTC Hero :: Activesync - Unable To Sync To Contacts
Sep 28, 2009Activesync syncs my exchange inbox with my hero but not my calendar, contacts, subfolders or any other folder (deleted items, etc). It looks like the folders are there, but they are actually empty. The calendar issue is not really a problem now that i am using Google Calendar Sync, but i would like ALL my exchange email to be on my phone.

Oct 27, 2009I can't install the Sync software to my pc. I keep getting this error "The Generic Device Manager Executable has encountered an error and install cannot continue.
I have tried to un-install and reinstall several times and even downloaded from HTC support and same thing happens, so I am assuming it has something to do with my pc.
The pc has reconized the phone and actually the HTC window pops up but I can't click on the Syncronize Now or on the HTC Sync, and on the right side bottom of that window it shows phone as disconnected.
I am running Window XP and don't know if this matters, but I am also running IE 8.

Aug 30, 2009After installing HTC Sync from the HTC website (v.2.0.4), and connecting my Hero via USB, my Hero cannot find HTC Sync on PC, although it is installed, and I have restarted my PC. After the "Finding HTC Sync on your PC" message, I get an error message saying: "Unable to find HTC Sync on your PC. Please make sure that HTC Sync is installed and opened on your PC [which it is]".

Nov 19, 2009I have 3 calendars under my gmail account, but they're all owned by the same account.
I only had one when I initially set up the phone and I added 2 yesterday.
The 2 new ones will not show up in the phone.
Has anyone run into this? I did a google search, but not much for results out there which I find strange.
also, I subscribed to a read only one (canadian holidays) and it was on the phone right away.
So it seems that only ones that I create I cannot get to the phone.
HTC Incredible :: Unable To Sync With PC
Sep 7, 2010I've had my DINC since April. Really no problems at all. Got the 2.2 update on Wed or Thurs of last week - no troubles, until now. I synced my DINC to my computer after the update.Today i tried to sync w/my computer and nothing happened. The little "tree" notification that allows you to choose what you want to do (charge, sync, mount SD card) didn't come up. I removed and reinstalled HTC sync (which has worked before) and still nothing.
Any ideas what to try next? I'm considering a factory reset but would like to try other options 1st.

I have my Google calendar all setup online and went to go see my events on my phone and it doesn't sync at all. May 10, 2010I've been trying to sync my phone with my work computer for the past several days with no luck. I was able to sync using HTC Sync when I first received the phone but now I can't even get it to enter USB Mode. I was using the usb cable that came with the phone when I initially sync'd it, but since then i have picked up an additional charger/usb cable from my local authorized verizon dealer and can only charge the phone when i plug in the phone to the computer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling HTC Sync and then installed the latest version of HTC Sync with no luck. I'm thinking that it might be the usb cable that i'm using (since i was able to sync before), but not sure if its something else (lack of driver or something like that).

May 22, 2010I finally installing 2.1 with all English menus.that worked in china.However I cant get my contacts and calendar to sync with google.The mail client works fine with no hitches.But I cant add the google account.when I enter in the full server name:

the next button is grayed out.the only way it will let me proceed is if I remove the https:// and then it try to connect.but it then says :" unable to open connection to server"Any help for what is more than likely an extraordinarily simple problem?
HTC Droid Eris : Unable To Get Exchange Sync Settings
Jun 2, 2010Ever since 2.1 OTA I can't get my sync settings to stick.I want it to push items as they arrive. I check that box, but when I exit out, it goes back to manual. I've tried changing this in the email settings and in the main sync settings.This is driving me crazy- I keep missing my work emails!Also- I have never figured out how to get my vibrating notifications back after the OTA. If my ringer is on vibrate, the only notification I have that an item arrived is my LED.Finally- has anyone found the fix to the multiple notification email bug? I still get 3-4 notifications for one email when my ringer is on ring.

Apr 30, 2010I got an incredible yesterday.Been trying to get Exchange active sync to work.The problem is that no matter what option I choose in Schedule (as items arrive, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc...), the phone always defaults back to Manual.Nothing I do will make the change stick.I've tried a battery pull, deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it.I even installed the trial version of touchdown to make sure push email was set up correctly on the server and it works perfectly in touchdown.Any thoughts?I've done about everything I can think of.I don't want to buy touchdown because this should work for free.
