Can't get the rogers magic to Sync with windows 7. all the drivers installed but when I hit Sync on the phone I get a message saying the phone cannot detect HTC Sync at you PC. then tells me where I can download it. Now windows 7 comes with Windows Mobile Device Center. has anyone been able to get their Magic to Sync with windows 7?

I have a HTC Magic, when i tried to sync with my work e-mail. it goes through the syncactive fine but it end up with an error message "Fail to set up account, please try again later". has anyone had this before? any fix?

After the "Finding HTC Sync on your PC" message, I get an error message saying: "Unable to find HTC Sync on your PC. Please make sure that HTC Sync is installed and opened on your PC [which it is]".

That info is verbatim off my phone. Seems odd at points but i really triple checked.
My problem is that i cannot sync my device with Outlook. It starts the sync the first time i install everything, including HTC Sync and the HTC xp driver, but times out about halfway through the process, leaving me with names in the contacts but none of the actual info on the phone. Just empty contact names.
HTC and Rogers are unable to help me. I have used Windows mob. for the last 5 years and have never had a problem on any of my several home built and store bought computers. This is a first! So i have this phone i paid a bunch of cash for and its primary purpose (to me at least) being a portable outlook, is effed.
Anyone at all have this trouble? The last tech support guy i spoke with at Rogers admitted to me, probably shouldn't have, that he can't get his phone to sync either and he gave up and went back to iphone.
I made this thread here because try as i might i didn't find a dream specific thread or forum, and for some reason the search function gives me a 40 error.maybe newbs can't search.

After I initiated a sync, the phone will reboot itself (after a couple of minutes, during the stage "Preparing data from your phone") and return the error "2 General" "No connection to the phone". I have done "Factory data reset" a few times. Every time I have done the factory reset, it will work for a while and then the problem will come back again.

I've restarted it three times, I've went in and out of flight mode a couple of times and I've selected my provider in the list both manually and through automatic.Still nothing. I've tried my SIM card in another phone and there I can call so the card in itself works fine. What really freaks me out is that I'm still able to connect to the internet through my provider. Incoming calls and SMS works fine too. It's reporting full connectivity at my current location and I've tried in several location (several kilomters apart). Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I've had problems when leaving airplane mode that it wouldn't register on the network but then nothing worked.

Ive got a Samsung exhibit 2 4g and I want to root it. Except when I connect usb, it always says cannot install driver. I've gone to device manager and it has two listings saying "SAMSUNG Android USB Composite Device" with exclamation marks next to it. Ive factory reset the phone and I have usb debugging on to. I Installed the latest version of HTCsync, and its running.
When i connect my phone with USB, windows i detecting it, but HTC sync doesnt seem to connect to it. When i try to start the update executable (RUU_Sapphire_Vodafone_NL_1.91.172.1_DRC92_signed_ NoDriver.exe) it ends (after some other screens, and following them to the letter) with the error 107 - USB-connection error.
The magic is not rooted, contains Android 1.6, buildnr DRC92
