View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC Thunderbolt and use all the Google tools for my calendar, email and contacts. At work I have Outlook 2007. I would REALLY like to have my Outlook calendar (at minimum) pushed/synchronized to my phone. Is there an app or a way to configure this to work? Right now I am using the Outlook Web Mobile app for my email and I can view my calendar there but I would like schedule/calendar all in one place.

I have Google and Facebook events show on my EVO's calendar. Since I keep a tight FB friends list, I don't mind the b-days showing. However, I said I'd be attending an online event from a FB contact that was set up as a daily thing for 7 hours and as a result, I've got it spamming my calendar view with four months worth of meetings. I went to FB and removed the event from my list there and went to the event page and said I wouldn't be attending, but even when I force sync the calendar, it's still showing up. Only turning off FB calendars entirely removes it, but the birthdays go with the bathwater. Is there any way to clear this that I'm overlooking?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI did a search but cant seem to find an answer. I finally got my work email set up through active sync. Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am new to Android, Google calendar and the Captivate phone. Have successfully imported my old calendar to Google Calendar which initially synced with the calendar on my captivate. However, when I add a new event to my phone calendar, it does not automatically show up on the Google calendar. the Samsung rep told me I have to edit each new even to mark it as a "Google Calendar". Is there any way to make this the default option on the Captivate phone? I am hoping to have automatic syncronization b/t the phone and the Google calendar without having to force it to do so each time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two gmail accounts. My primary works find on my DX. I have shared my second calendar with my primary and my appointments for both show up fine online, and in my DX calendar list, it says my second calendar is on there, but nothing is showing up. I've tried adding new appointments both on device and computer, but they don't sync for that calendar.
Am I missing something? Or does anyone know of a calendar app that will sync with a second gmail calendar?
I run the 1.0r1 emulator and install Calendar.apk and CalendarProvider.apk on the emulator. And I configure the username and pwd from DevTools->Google Service Login successfully. Now I can start the Calendar app successfully, with the month view/week view/etc. But I don't know how to sync the calendars or events with Google Calendar service. From the source code, I assume there should happen sync operation. But it didn't happened. And I know another trigger to sync is Menu->More->My Calendars, but after selected, the activity will crash. The below is from DDMS logcat: 02-21 00:59:44.260: INFO/ActivityManager(56): Starting activity: Intent { action=android.intent.action.VIEW comp=..................

View 2 Replies View RelatedHere's the thing, if i set an event in my Google calender & set it to "Remind" me, then all it does is display it on notification area. Is there any option to have an actual alarm before the event ?
I was wondering if there is an app with real "reminder" (alarm) function for calender events set on your Goolge Calender (the one like on old Nokia phones).
Error Message: Unfortunately, google calendar sync has stopped.
What did NOT work:Clearing the Cache
Changing calendars
Factory reset
Cause:
The problem appears to be synchronization with Outlook via a 3rd party application called Sync2.
When the Problem Appears: Whenver an annually repeating event (Birthday, Anniversary) is created in Outlook, then sync'd.
Whenever an annually repeating event created in the Google Calendar or Android Phone calendar is MODIFIED by Outlook, then re-sync'd.
Additional Information:
I tried this several times, and if all edits are made on the phone or in Google Calendar, everything works fine. If ANYTHING is changed in Outlook though, the problem recurrs.
I do not know if this happens with other Third-Party sync software.
-To test your system, I recommend the following method:Open your Calendar in Outlook
-Create a folder on your Desktop to temporarily store your Annual Calendar items during testing
-In Outlook, view your Calendar as a LIST. (In 2010, click the View tab, then in the Current View section, select -Change View, and select LIST from the available items. 2003 had similar functionality, but I don't remember the steps to get there.)
-Scroll down the list to the section that says "Recurrance: Yearly". Select all items in there and drag them to the folder on your desktop which you just created. This will COPY the items so they can be recovered later if you want.
-Delete the items you just copied from Outlook.
-Re-sync your Outlook calendar, then wait a couple minutes and re-sync your phone.
-If the error doesn't appear, you know you've isolated the problem!
-If you need to recover your events, you can drag them out of the folder you created (they will appear as .MSG files) and drop them back on your Outlook calendar list.
I want to sync my calendar on my S3 to google. Hell it took me a couple hours to figure out how to sync my contacts from phone to gmail...nobody gives straight answers on some of this stuff. So again, how can I sync my calendar to gmail/google? I have it checked, tell it to sync, no errors or anything, but I think its only syncing from web to phone on the calendar and this is my issue, I just want to have my contacts and calendar out there as I just had to go thru hell to get contacts from my dead iphone to my new S3...

I keep on getting an error, is it something to do with the ICS update???(I have a Xperia Ray)
I got this phone about a month ago, I put 3 albums off of my music library onto the phone and no error appeared, I then got myself a new micro SD card and then realized that ICS had been released for my phone. After the update I was unable to sync music to my phone
events created on phone won't go to google calendar. I believe I have the sync set up right, events on my google calendar have synced to my phone. A previous thread states you have to choose "google calendar" when generating an event on the calendar on the phone, however, when I try to edit the event, under "Calendar" the setting is "My calendar" but I can't change the setting (tapping on it does nothing)

View 16 Replies View RelatedI just moved from blackberry to android and I am having some issues with the calendar. My old calendar had individual pop ups for each event, the pop up allowed you to open/snooze/ or dismiss each item individually. Also my old calendar had no trouble syncing my gmail and facebook calendars. Android seems to have trouble doing this seemingly simple task. Is there an app or special calendar that can do this?
