Android :: Spinner - Don't Display Selection / Set Selection Text Color As Transparent?
Aug 4, 2009I'm trying to use Spinner as a button with selection pop-up. Basically I want an icon and when user clicks it - the popup list is displayed and user can make a selection. The Spinner happily accepts icon image as drawable background. Unfortunately when I select a value the text overlays the background. Is it possible to set selection text color as a transparent? Or maybe there's a better way?

I'm stil a newbie here being a wm 6 convert & don't know how to troll my phone as well just yet. after initial sync to move media files I now have dual albums for video and music this is 2G SD I moved from WM phone to Hero & it picked up files with no problem but they are duplicated. tried to search for 'delete' 'remove' 'erase' album & no exact answer. sorry if I'm a repeater.

I have added albums that all have the artwork in the ID3 tag but a few just wont show on the device so I'm wondering if there's another way to add it into the folder on the SD card that will have it show up in the media player?

Nov 8, 2009Ok when I download or upload my music from a cd, the album artwork never shows up in itunes for me. So I usually have to manually copy album Pics from the net and paste them in the info section. However my hero either doesn't show the artwork or replaces my pic with some other random artwork pic. Anyone experience this and know how to fix this?

Jun 26, 2010I've noticed something weird with the stock music app....when I open the app (get the coverflow type view) or use the widget, the cover art for each song is horribly wrong. HOWEVER, if I enter the list view and go to albums in the app, the right art is show beside each album. As well, I installed MixZing music app, and it shows the right albums.

Aug 29, 2010so I transfered some songs to my phone from pc yesterday but some of them were in the wrong album and I wanted to transfer them to the right album, Im wondering how you do this ON the HERO. I dont like having to go to my comp to edit the album or name of a song. I was able to do this on my N81 and my hero is supposed to be an upgrade to that and I dont want to feel like I upgraded everything but my music support. Is there anyway to change the music details on hero(not pc)?

Nov 10, 2009The contact photos shown during calls are very blur. The photos will appear blur if:
- selected from album on phone (I made it as large as 150x150)
- synced from Outlook
- shot with phone camera
The photos only appear very clear if FaceBook photos are used (so limited only to contacts with FaceBook accounts). Is there a way to overcome this?

Mar 29, 2010I have a Droid just running stock 2.0.1. What I am looking for is a photo/picture gallery app that simply let's you select the folders that you want to display in the app. I was fine with the stock gallery for awhile, but then I started getting a variety of apps that store pictures in various folders (the worst one being Touchdown for Exchange which puts almost every attachment in a new folder). The stock gallery now takes forever to load up, as it is loading a TON of folders with images in them. Really it makes it almost useless at this point. This was the main reason I switched to MixZing for audio, as it let me narrow my library down to the few folders that actually mattered.
