I downloaded songs and added album art via mp3tag
i done it successfully but now they are on my hero and there are some missing ,,
is there some setting that maybe causing this , because i have added the album art again and it just wont appear on my hero

Pretty sure my .mp3 files on my sd card had album art embeded in the songs. Player doesn't seem to find them The folder for the one album I have also has the album art in it. The player won't play the album in the right order...just has the songs alphabetical. no sort option that I can see?

View 49 Replies View RelatedI have a x10 mini. Does anyone out there have a problem with the media player not displaying the album cover. Transfering the music is fine and it plays fine but most of the album artwork is missing. Only one album displays the cover art.Any ideas on how to fix this?
After changing my SD card with a larger one, my music album pictures on HTC music player/widget does not show anymore. I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).
View 6 Replies View RelatedOkay, I know 5000 songs is a lot. It's not as much as the song count for anyone I know, but it's a lot nonetheless. However, it's still less than an iPod from 5 years ago could handle, so why is it too much for the Droid? Every time I try "syncing" my library (read: Copying over the music folder, because the Droid doesn't have a syncing app and DoubleTwist is outright broken in its sync method) I end up missing like half of it. Usually it takes me a smidgen of time to realize an album is missing, but immediately afterwards I notice a LOT of albums are missing.
I try renaming the artist name folder, and the Droid them makes some attempt to locate the new music. First it gives me the spinning "loading" icon in the upper-right of my albums list view, and then it "resets" the view to the main four icons (Artists, Albums, Songs, Playlists). However, it still doesn't load the new material. I'm assuming at this point that the Droid has an outright song limit that hovers around 3,000. Either that or the "compilations" folder is killing its library search function.
Anyone know if this got fixed in 2.1? At least then I'd have something to look forward to. An alternate music player with cover art support would be fine, too. I don't mind paying extra if it's well-made.
Randomly stopping mid-track on HE-AAC files is also incredibly annoying.
so I transfered some songs to my phone from pc yesterday but some of them were in the wrong album and I wanted to transfer them to the right album, Im wondering how you do this ON the HERO. I dont like having to go to my comp to edit the album or name of a song. I was able to do this on my N81 and my hero is supposed to be an upgrade to that and I dont want to feel like I upgraded everything but my music support. Is there anyway to change the music details on hero(not pc)?

- selected from album on phone (I made it as large as 150x150)
- synced from Outlook
- shot with phone camera
The photos only appear very clear if FaceBook photos are used (so limited only to contacts with FaceBook accounts). Is there a way to overcome this?
I put pictures on my SD Card. When I go to access them in the Album. The phone freezes up and I get an Activity Albums error. Not Responding?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a none branded/unlocked Desire with firmware version 2.10.405.2, now, there used to be an option in older firmware versions, how old i can't remeber, to enable a sound notification for SD Card events, such as unmounting, mounting, etc, but this option seems to have been removed, at least on my phone, could someone please take a look through thier phone settings and confirm if this option is there, or not, i used to enable this option when connecting to the PC so i would know when the SD Card had unmounted/mounted.

This seems to be a strange issue and one I haven't found here or elsewhere through searching.
When I first got my Hero and charged it up, and the second time I recharged the battery, everything was fine. However then the charger started playing up and the battery wasn't charging properly and eventually the battery went completely dead and the charger stopped working altogether.
I took the phone and charger into an Orange store and they confirmed the charger wasn't working, and gave me a new one (which they checked worked in store). So I took the phone home and again, the charger worked fine for a couple of uses but has now stopped working again.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what could be causing the charger to stop working?
Can anyone tell me how I can find out what is causing notification sounds?
My Hero will, at times, beep randomly, but leave nothing in the notifications bar. If I open a task manager I can see that HTC Checkin Service and Settings are the only things running. This process will repeat, whether I close the apps or not, and run the battery down.
Is there some kind of system log I can look at to find out what is causing this? It seems weird that the phone would make the sound but leave no evidence of a notification.
How do you change the setting for how long an email can stay on your phone? Also, how can you set it, so you can delete the email from your phone, but keep it on the server.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAs the title says is it possible that PRI 1.70_003 is causing the 100% awake issue on our Google Branded Sprint Hero's? It seems like the phones with 1.68_003 were fixed with the update and all of us with PRI: 1.70 are fixed for a day and then goes back to 100%.

PROBLEM: Even in areas that I know I have great Sprint coverage, my phone is not connecting to the network and I have no phone signal - "No Service". (WiFi works fine.)
This is the second time this has happened. The last time was last week - I had just installed about 5 new apps (games), rebooted the phone, and I had "No Service". I uninstalled the new apps, rebooted, and service was regained.
Tonight, I didnt install anything NEW, but a handful of apps had updates (Where, Twidroid, Voice Recorder, TWiT.tv, Depth of Field Calculator.)
Actually, now that I think of it, that was my first reboot since I installed ShopSavvy.
I'll uninstall ShopSavvy and Voice Recorder - I dont use the recorder at all - and see where that gets me. But does anyone else have this problem, or am I the only lucky one?
I just put an address on a contact, saved it, and when i went to view address it give me people app FC! What the hell?
Does it just show you the address or does it try to bring up maps or something like it to actually SHOW you the address? If so, that's why, because i removed all that garbage. Running Fresh 2.1.2.
So it's widely known that soft resets of this phone causes problems with the icons as well as displayed program names.Has anyone noticed that soft resets also revert some of your programs back to earlier versions? The 2 I've noticed most often are Pandora and Mybackuppro. For example, the current version of Pandora is 1.1.1. When I upgraded from 1.1.0 in the marketplace, I installed over the old version and everything was working fine. After a soft reset, I noticed that the opening splash screen for Pandora listed 1.1.0, but the listing under my downloads in the app store didn't list an upgrade needed. I had to uninstall 1.1.0 and reinstall 1.1.1. I had that version on for about a week until I had another soft reset. Sure enough, I'm back to Pandora 1.1.0. The same thing happened with mybackuppro.This is far more irritating than screwing up the icons or displayed name, because this is actually changing what version of the software we're using.early adopters being the beta testers for mobile manufacturers and carriers.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought SetCPU last night, and ever since installing it, I've had issues with sending and recieving txt messages, for example, I'll have 3-4 bars of 3G and the txt will either not send out, or if someone sends me a txt, I'll get about 3 all at once from them. Maybe its just how I have setcpu setup, I let the app decide best speed for my phone 900max 250 min, and I set it on interactive at first, then changed it to performance to see if that made a difference with txts.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out if one it is possible for an SD card to cause my phone to become unstable (like spontenously rebooting, heating up, etc), i think the answer is yes as I have tried using the phone for a few days with and without the card and it does indeed seem more stable without the card but its less clear about if its the card or whats on the card. I tried formatting the card and thought at first that it was more stable but then it seemed to start acting up again (I can't sit and watch it all day and sometimes its not obvious that it has restarted, sometimes it just shuts down). I have also tried different versions of RR, tinkered with neartrom (not long enough to be sure though) but still stability issues.
Is there a way to see If my card is someway corrupted? or If the phone is just not liking this card or any cards? A friend let me use their card for awhile and my phone was still acting up (rebooting, freezing, overheating). I prefer to to figure out exactly what the problem is before I fork out the money for a new card; it seems illogical that a sdcard in general should make a phone act up like this but I am running out of ideas (going out and getting a new phone would be even more painful than getting a new sdcard so I am really hoping to figure this out as it seems to run ok when no card is inserted).
btw, I the card is a sandisk ultra 64gb microsdxc card, its worked for like 2 years (I stored music and backups on it mainly, most the r/w stuff was from daily podcasts).
how to add album art to the music player? I have put 3 albums on my HTC Hero and none of them have their album art. I know it's nothing major but it's a nice little touch to be able to see the album art of the song playing.
