I have a T-Mobile G2 and I have managed to change my ringtone to a tune of my liking but am finding it difficult to answer calls quick enough because my ringtone doesn't seem to last long enough. On my N97 and Vario it gives a lot more chance to answer. Is there any way of extending the length of the ringtone please ? Has anyone else had this problem?

Is there a way to extend its lenght? No matter how long a ringtone is, the device keeps playing it from beginning as long as it arrives at i.e. 15 seconds (cannot remember the exact time elapsed).

I'm not really experienced in using forums, however it seems even when i search terms that should be popular I often get "no results found"...so please forgive me if this has been asked already, and if anybody can offer some advice on how to use the search option better it would be greatly appreciated.So here's my question, I have a ringtone from the Zedge app, the ring from the Crank movie. I like it for text notifications but it's kinda long, I would like to shorten it to just the first two blooo0o0op blo0o0oooops =] Any apps on the market where I can shorten it straight from my phone and save it easily..the easier to do the better!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI normally set up call forwarding from my home phone number to my cell phone by speed-dialing a special sting of numbers from my cell phone. Once the computer on the other side answers, the cell phone sends all the correct codes, including the number where I wish my forwarded calls to go.With my newly bought HTC Hero (Sprint), this doesn't seem to work, because the automatically dialed tones are much too fast and too short. I've tried putting a "P" (for pause) between each digit, but it doesn't help.Other cell phones provide way to select between short and long tones, but apparently the Hero does not.Is there a way to slow down the dialing string so that it can be read by the phone company's computer? Obviously, I could manually key in each digit, but that's really not a good solution.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI purchased my moment about 2 weeks ago and have been having fun figuring it out however there are some areas where I am having problems.
1. When you want to attach a document it selects the picture folder/area, how do you browse instead of being forced into that area.
2. I downloaded ringtone app and have found the app quite useful, the problem I am having is, the ringtones I have created don't show up in all the ringtone areas of my phone, what needs to be done to correct this.
3. The basic user guide that comes with the phone says there is an app I can download called samsung new pc studio. When I call sprint or samsung they say this app is not available or can't be used by a casd(the u.s. standard, I think casd is right), they say this software is only for the other standard, I did find this app on the web. Is what sprint and samsung saying true if not can I use the ones I found on the web.
4. If you could choose only ten apps to have(free)which ones would you choose?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI had the phone for a few days and I have downloaded some tunes into the music application on the phone and I see you can save the tune as a ringtone and also trim it which is all good, however, after I have saved the tune as a ringtone, when the phone is switched off and back on again, the chosen ringtone has gone and the "save tune" I had within ringtones has also gone.
I have tried contacting HTC and they are talking about something about route of the SD card and making folders which I have not got a clue about what they are talking about and they don't seem to give clear instructions in how to transfer a song from your PC to the phone and then make it into a ringtone.
I used the htc ringtone trimmed for one of the song in my music library on my phone and I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this but how are you able to delete these ringtones when you no longer want them? The program its self works fine for making ringtones but I cannot find anyway to delete them. I even looked in Astro. If someone doesnt mind could they please lend some advice on this. I've searched in the forums and I havnt found a solution to it.

When she stored them they were given default names. I was able to make the appropriate ringtone associations, except for voicemail. I have 2 questions:
1. How do you set a ringtone for voicemail? When I run the standard voicemail app (Verizon) I cannot being up a menu.
2. How do I change the name of a ringtone file?

View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been getting a lot of calls from 'UNKNOWN' at stupid O'clock in the morning. Is there a way of doing any of the following...
a) set the phone so that calls from UNKNOWN get sent directly to voicemail.
b) set the phone so that calls from numbers *NOT* in my contact list get sent directly to voicemail.
c) set the ringtone for 'UNKNOWN'.
d) set the ringtone for numbers NOT in my contacts.
If someone is unwilling to reveal their phone number then they don't deserve my attention, especially at 8.30am in the morning and extra especially on a Saturday.

Step 4, Hit the set as ringtone button and below screen appears
Step 5, select trim ringtone and below screen appears. When in this screen you can adjust ringtone from each end to where it begins and ends. There is a play button and a left and right arrow. The left and right arrow allow for second to second adjusting.
Where did the ringtone trimmer go that was integrated into 1.5? I installed Fresh 2.0d and its gone. Any ideas?

However, there is no shortcut icon for this app under my main menu of loaded apps. I don't guess it really matters, because I never used it, but was it removed in the MR update? I downloaded and have used Ringdroid and it works great for me, but I am curious as to what happened to the preloaded app?

I set an mp3 to be my ringtone the other day, and when i did it, I had a play with the trimmer, but just decided to use the whole thing in the end. The point being that the trimmer was definitely working. Today I went to change to a different MP3, and wanted to trim, but the trimmer is not working. It seems to think the mp3 is 0 seconds long:
The big "timer" at the top shows 00:00, as does the small one to the right, next to the stopwatch. Both "speech bubbles" above either end of the time bar are empty and greyed out Timer to the left of the bar says 00:00 Lefthand slider (with the 6 dots) is green, but right hand one is grey.
I'd like to set a new default ringtone without using the ringtone picker. In other words, there is a certain ringtone that is already installed on my system, and I want to programmatically set it to be my default ringtone without any human interaction. The reason I want this is because every time I reboot my N-1, my previous default ringtone setting gets forgotten, and I am given another ringtone that I don't like. I want to set up an app that I can run manually (or better yet, to cause to automatically run upon startup) which will reset my default ringtone to the one that I like without my having to manually do this via the Settings.
The only examples I have found so far for doing this involve using the ringtone picker, but as far as I can tell, this requires human interaction, which I want to avoid.
