Everyones helped me so much the last two weeks my chance to give back Step 1, Go to mp3 or music widget pictured below.
Step 2, Touch it and it should go full screen pic below
Step 3, Touch menu button and this screen below appears
Step 4, Hit the set as ringtone button and below screen appears
Step 5, select trim ringtone and below screen appears. When in this screen you can adjust ringtone from each end to where it begins and ends. There is a play button and a left and right arrow. The left and right arrow allow for second to second adjusting.
Perhaps I missed it but what happened to this app? I can still see it under settings>applications>manage applications. However, there is no shortcut icon for this app under my main menu of loaded apps. I don't guess it really matters, because I never used it, but was it removed in the MR update? I downloaded and have used Ringdroid and it works great for me, but I am curious as to what happened to the preloaded app?

View 3 Replies View RelatedNot sure if I'm being thick and missing something but. I set an mp3 to be my ringtone the other day, and when i did it, I had a play with the trimmer, but just decided to use the whole thing in the end. The point being that the trimmer was definitely working. Today I went to change to a different MP3, and wanted to trim, but the trimmer is not working. It seems to think the mp3 is 0 seconds long:
The big "timer" at the top shows 00:00, as does the small one to the right, next to the stopwatch. Both "speech bubbles" above either end of the time bar are empty and greyed out Timer to the left of the bar says 00:00 Lefthand slider (with the 6 dots) is green, but right hand one is grey.
I used the htc ringtone trimmed for one of the song in my music library on my phone and I'm sorry if there is already a thread for this but how are you able to delete these ringtones when you no longer want them? The program its self works fine for making ringtones but I cannot find anyway to delete them. I even looked in Astro. If someone doesnt mind could they please lend some advice on this. I've searched in the forums and I havnt found a solution to it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've looked all over and I couldn't find any posts regarding this, but are there any music programs that allow you to use a hardware button to advance a track? For example, in my BB Curve I could hard press the volume up button to move to the next track, and hard press the volume down to go back a track (without even looking at it or taking it out of my pocket)...
I dig the stock Hero music app the best I think out of Mixzing, Rockon, Wikitunes, or whatever - mostly because it is in the lock screen where I can advance to the next tune without having to swipe in first...
But its still a pain in the neck, when I'm on a running on a treadmill to pick up the phone and hold it up and press the correct button on the glass, as opposed to just reaching in my pocket and pressing a hardware button like I could on my BB Curve, or any other MP3 player...
How does the pre loaded/integrated facebook work on the hero?? should i use that and delete facebook for android that i got from the market? with the integrated app, am i always logged in? is it the same as facebook for android? i ask because i clicked share to share a picture and there are two facebook listings shown there. i dont like that. thank you for the insight as im new to android.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just switched from the HTC Hero to the Samsung Moment and one of the main things I miss, other than the amazing camera, is not having a ringtone trimmer. Does anybody know of any apps or something similar that I can use to trim my ringtones?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen in the HTC music app, I select Menu/Set as Ringtone - the only 2 options it gives me is Phone Ringtone or Contact Ringtone. There is no trimmer option. Any ideas how to get to that option? I assumed it was standard. (Yes, I know I could download Ringdroid but if the built-in app works, all the better.)

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am trying to download a ringtone onto my phone (which apparently gets downloaded to my sd card under download) but its saying I have no available space. Its a 2 gig mem card and i have 1.7 gigs left on it thats completely free. And my phone has 99mb of internal memory free. So a few hundred kb ringtone should not be saying this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAll, I rooted my phone today for 2.1, and it's working great. I removed most of the crap sprint applications I didn't want (including their music player). Only issue I have is I seem to have lost the ability to set an mp3 as the ringtone. I do have some mp3's in the /media/audio/ringtones folder, but they don't show up in the ringtones list.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed a special ringtone that is used when your SD card is mounted to your PC. I like it, and would like to use it for my default ringtone, but it doesn't seem to be an option, nor can I find it anywhere in the file system. Also, when I asked the folks at HTC where the file was located, they conveniently dodged my question and and told me how to add new ringtones to my SD card. (not surprised).
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've seen this asked a couple of times back in the early part of the year, but no one ever answered, so I figured it would be worth giving it a go again. Is it possible to assign a ringtone to an entire group, as opposed to manually adding it for each person in a group?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving a little trouble with my music/podcast management, primarily because of my Bluetooth connections. I have the stock music app for my music, and then Doggcatcher for my podcasts. Unfortunately, this causes confusion when I am pausing and playing via Bluetooth - both apps will start playing, or one app will play and the other will pause...
It would be mostly solved if Android would give priority to the focused application when responding to Bluetooth commands (so I could just open the app I want and then it would act normally), but unfortunately, such is not the case.
Is there any kind of good music app out there that does good podcast management? I don't need much, just the ability to download podcasts on demand, and remember how much of the podcast I've listened to.
Suggestions? DoubleTwist claims to do this, but I have to connect to the computer to sync, which I think is friggin' stupid. I just want to be able to do everything OTA.
I've been coded for a kind of integrated map Android app on my Windows. , Then, I've been switched to Ubuntu and tried with Eclipse.. Later, when I start my app, I couldn't see my integrated map on both Emulator and my N1.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to android phones. I see the Facebook app in system, I can update it and start it from a third party (e.g. Play Store) but am unable to find the app itself and make shortcuts for it. I tried uninstalling (it does so only with the updates, it won't erase the app itself because it is integrated with the Jelly Bean), reinstalling (again, only applies to the updates), trying to find its shortcuts in home screens and main menu.
I am just a step away from master reset.
I have a TF101 running a ROM based on stock Asus and I would like an application that adds the ability to pass Google Voice's SMS to a messaging app the way that Google Voice SMS Integration does (it doesn't work on TF101).
