I'm supposed to be on figure no. 40 in the Universal Eris Root for Dummies thread, but my ROM that I just downloaded (from my Eris browser) and it's not listed. The only zip file is gscript. zip.http:// androidforums.com /all-things-root-eris/127861-universal-eris-root-dummies.html Can anyone help/advise me on what to do from here? I'm new at this and have been doing research on root for a few weeks now.

I bought easy root to root my Droid, which I love, and then downloaded set cpu and every time I install set cpu, I keep getting the reading "read only, cant detect root" I';ve tried installing and uninstalling, but cant seem to get past this stage. Can anyone offer words of wisdom?

(Bad charging port).It was rooted and everything was backed up with Nandroid, Clock work mod, Titanium,a root backup and on my computer.I was running the Synergy rls1 Supersonic rom.I cant seem to find an updated Root. Unrevoked tells me that my Firmware is too new.I've also tried a few manual roots,but it seems my phone is too new. Can I use a Samsung phone update?

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo there is very little documentation on the PX102 online as of yet, let alone AOCOS products in general (at least on english sites which I have scoured). First off, I'm currently using OSX 10.6.8 and have the current Android developer tools package that was downloaded from their site about three hours ago (just to be clear). The PX102 is running 4.1.1 and the tablet is a fresh restore (I had a number of apps downloaded but considered that some may have been interfering...).
I will be attempting to root via psneuter exploit from SuperOneClick v2.3.3, however in the terminal when I execute "adb devices" it returns "List of devices attached" with blank space underneath...
I have tried to kill/restart server, run "adb usb", and a couple other small things to no avail. Yes, usb debugging mode is enabled as well.
I would really like to attempt/execute this all via OSX, however name an OS and I have it at my disposal...
Running the last command it says file not found and i cant flash the image to get into amans rec...

View 1 Replies View RelatedHey everybody, I've looked for an answer on here, but to no avail. I tried to root my replacement Eris with 1.5, and HBOOT 1.47. Everything was going well until it got to the point of making a recovery, which for some reason, my phone wouldn't let me do. Infuriated and frustrated, I followed the steps to go back to 1.5 to a tee. However, I miss Vlingo so much, and i went to install the OTA 2.1, and it aborted the installation. I now have HBOOT 1.49.2000, so does my phone basically think I have the 2.1v3 leak, or am I just flat-out screwed? Done multiple factory resets, etc. and they haven't helped either

My parents are looking to upgrade their regular phones (for free) and I was going to recommend the eris (from amazon) to them. I have heard some talk of not having very good signal and mention of some bugs and want to know how much truth there is behind these (especially signal) or if they were lemons, etc. if it matters all my parents would do is call/text (obviously), email sync, and maybe browse the web every once in a while. Bugs with, say face book, wouldn't matter.

I've tried xtrrom but I couldn't even find the market icon on there. I've tried eris lightning, but it's just not cutting, and i've tried ayori snow and that just plain didn't work. Basically I'm looking for one with the Clock and Weather widget on it and live wallpapers. also what is all of this kernel talk about, i dont even know what that means or does?

find my gmail in apps or in my sd card. Calendar syncs as do contacts but no gmail shortcut or app on phone or in market.
I can't sync between my PC, Vista 32 bit, and my Eris. I can mount the SD card and transfer pictures, etc. I have enabled USB Debugging. I have installed/re-installed HTC sync several times. I have disabled my virus software.I get the HTC Sync notification when I plug in the Eris, but when I tap it to start connecting, nothing. The PC bleeps at me as if it has recognized a new device, but the Eris never finds the HTC sync software (yes it is open). It finally reports that it can't find HTC Sync on the PC.The first time, Windows installed several device drivers, including the HTC driver. "My HTC" driver is visible in the Device Manager and reports it is working properly. This last time, I got a Windows Error stating the HTCVBTServer module had stopped working.I can't find any information on this.

That is as bugless as possible?2) Are there any written instructions? I was told at the Verizon store that the new version will have voice for its Google maps telling you where to turn etc.

It shows the bluetooth as "working" by the symbol at the top of my screen however, it's not allowing me to use it. It's fully charged, light blinking. When I clicked "scan for bluetooth" it didn't find it.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI saved some wallpapers/backgrounds from the backgrounds app to my sd card. When I saved them, it said "saved to sd card in backgrounds directory(I think or maybe file?). I spent about 2 hours trying to find it---drained my battery doing it(battery still doing much better though--lasted 12 hours today with very, very heavy usage!).
I did see there are some apps to manage your sd card, but am thinking surely I can access it w/out one?
