Anyone know how to find the option to stop this vibration? It started when I upgraded to 2.1 and can't find the option to turn the it off. I know when I'm calling someone, I don't need a vibration.

I set a couple of daily alarms and when they go off I cannot stop the DX from vibrating. Any thoughts?

When the phone in vibrate mode I use the following code to stop the phone vibration:
Vibrator vib = (Vibrator) context.getSystemService(Context.VIBRATOR_SERVICE);
vib.cancel();
While it worked on my Nexus One with android 2.1, it seems that it doesn't stop the vibration on an HTC Desire handset with android 2.1.
Have someone encountered this issue?
My question is pretty simple. I cant find an option to attach sound in MMS.

View 25 Replies View RelatedAndroid doesn't seem to recognize when I am on the phone. While on a call, it still vibrates when I get a text or e-mail. It is loud and annoying. When not on vibrate, it still plays the message received tone, and it is loud too. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk i have not been able to find any answers what so ever regarding the people that can not find the backup/restore option after entering the recovery mode. I have recently rooted using the new z4root application. I get a skull and crossbones supper user app, and was wondering if that means its different than the one with the ninja icon that everyone else gets.
Anyways, When i go to make a nandroid back up, i follow the steps to the letter, but when i get to the recovery menu, my options stop after the wipe baseband data option. there is absolutely nothing else there that says anything about backup/restore option everyone seems to be screaming about. Its not there!
Now please can someone figure out a solution to this problem?
My recovery looks like as follows: Android system recovery <3e>
Use d-pad to highlight: center to select.
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe baseband data
How do I turn off the vibration notification while I am on a call? If I am on a phone call, and I get a text or email, the phone vibrates. I want this feature of course while I am NOT on a call, but while on a call people on the other end of the call have described it as a duck being murdered. I have tested it myself and cant disagree with them.

But allowing you to turn off all vibration would be just too uncool. So HTC invented yet another !@#$ vibration when the phone connects after you press dial.
Is there a way to turn this off? I looked everywhere but can't find any option to do this.
Wondering if there are any creative ideas/hacks/apps that can make the vibration on the Eris even a little more noticeable? I think it's fair to say this is a VERY weak vibration feature, and a lot of folks have a hard time feeling it vibrate when a call or notification comes in.
I'm assuming it's a hardware thing, but thought maybe there are some creative workarounds.
I really like most everything else about this phone, but I cannot feel it at all when it's set to vibrate, so I'll definitely be missing calls & texts when carrying it around on my belt (or even pocket) as it's usually in vibrate mode then.
I keep my phone near my head on my bed, since I use it as an alarm clock. Unfortunately the Vibrant is vibrating at the end of the charge cycle, which is distracting when I'm trying to fall asleep!

Haptic feedback is checked yet there is none. I have rebooted and pulled the battery to no avail. My phone is useless in vibration mode since it no longer vibrates.
Anyone have a clue why this would have happened? One minute it was working the next it wasn't.
I would like to know whether I can shut my sounds and vibrate modes off so that my calls and texts will come through still, but not make any noises. I don't want to keep shutting my phone off every night.

It seems the only launcher that will let me resize the icons is Go Launcher but I find it to be bulky and cumbersome is there any other launcher out there that will let me resize or even an app which will do it for me? I've used desktop visualizer to no avail and I'm pretty sure I've gone through most of the more popular launchers but was unable to find a resize option in them.
