Jun 14, 2010I just tried flashing the audio.zip , and it said "imstallation aborted".... How do i do this?? is it like flashing a new rom??

HTC :: Aloysius V9 Vs Evil Eris 2.0?
May 7, 2010I'm currently running Aloysius V9 but am wondering about EvilEris 2.0. Has anybody ran both of these Roms and if so, what do you think about them? I really like most of the features included with Aloysius but if EvilEris is noticeably faster I could deal with losing some things. I know its been touched on before but if you have experience with both, could you pease post a quick comparison.

May 5, 2010I put the file from the stickied thread on to my phone, did the wipes and then flashed it and it has been doing the thing with the red blue yellow and green lines for a couple of hours now... Is it safe to do a battery pull and try something else, or what should I do?

May 23, 2010I have the official21 Rom that came with the all in one file. I just installed the aloysius Leo Rom and moved it to my root of my SD card. Downloaded it with my Eris. Did the wipe and dalvik wipe then flashed from my SD card but now its saying "aborted. Failed line 2(something like that) any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm doing it all from my Eris.

Apr 19, 2010I have seen a lot of posts saying that people once they rooted they lost access to some of the apps they had with android 1.5.This is an HTC hero rom that was ported over to the eris that I am running right now. With this rom which is running 2.1 you will get access to the protected apps on the market (the apps that come up missing). Read the known bugs section though. Included is an app that circumvents the power down hang and I actully like using it more then shutting down the phone the convential way hope this helps. People running eris with 2.1 don't have access because it has not been officially released yet. Aug 23, 2010This is the oddest problem I've ran across since I started playing with rooting and ROMs. After a few days of installing a new ROM and/or kernel(happens across Bugles Beast, Liquid Frozen Yogurt, Simply Stunning, and Sapphire, etc) any stream that incorporates flash and has streaming audio, the audio stream plays in slow motion. Oddly enough, the video is fine, but the audio is awfully. It doesn't happen on day 1 on the ROMs, its ALWAYS a few days after I install and happens on any site I try. I've tried Unistalling the Flash player and tried several different builds of the leaked Flash player and it never fails.
I know its a long shot, but does anybody have ANY idea what might be causing the audio to freak out after a few days? I can't deduce if its a combination of apps that I'm installing or some kind of incompatibility between ROM and kernel choice I make...but its uber frustrating and I'm having to shy away from some of the nicer ROMs because I need my audio fix for the day.
Just tried in the new RC3 of Cyanogen and it does the same exact thing..I'm really at a loss, I have NO Idea how to tell whats causing this problem.

Dec 9, 2009just started using the Pandora music app, but my kids in the back seat could not hear it. so I stopped by Walgreens and picked up the "JUPITOR JACK". you can't miss it cause it has the big red ad: "AS SEEN ON TV". it works well enough, but I had to tweak my car audio system to make it decent. whatever the droid plays comes out on the car radio, it's better then my old belkin FM transmitter.

Your PCS vision username or password may be incorrect. I tried the fix that is on the website for the error code 67 but when I go to setting /about phone/ to the system software update I need web access to update the profile on my phone. So can anyone help me with this problem with have to call Sprint?

Jul 22, 2010I literally just got a refurb eris today and when I went to make a phone call I could hear nothing through the earpiece and the person on the other end couldn't hear anything I said. This seems to be a version of the silent-call bug but this time I can hold a conversation with speakerphone and they can hear me, but when it's just through the earpiece like normal both parties get silence. Since this is a fresh refurb could someone with the OTA post their software data so I could compare it to what I have, I think I found one earlier while screwing around and it looked like it matched but now I want to double check.

Jun 25, 2010I have rooted Eris, but am just running the standard ROM thing that came with GRDLOCK's script. Tried out EE 2.1 I think, but kinda crashed a lot on me, and froze up a bunch, so I just went back to the nandroid backup of the basic and stuck with it. That was like 2 months ago, and I thought maybe now, I should actually try out a real ROM. Now that EE 3.0 is up, I want to give it another shot. The question in all this crap is if I need to flash EE 2.0, and 2.1 to flash 3.0?

Dec 29, 2009I really like my Eris but the volume level is really bothering me. I can plug my IPod touch (with volume about 90%) into my car using the headphone jack and setting my car volume to a little less than half way is plenty loud. Playing the same audio tracks through the headphone jack of my Eris plugged in the exact same way with the volume cranked all the way up and I have to literally turn the stereo volume to the max to get the same level.

Mar 4, 2010On my old SD card from my previous phone i had videos of my son and when i put that SD card into my Eris the videos play but don't have audio.. my levels on ringer and media are all the way up but still no sound.. I then changed from my old SD card that was 512mb to the 8 GB that came with the phone and still no luck.. i can play the videos on my computer through the SD card but they don't through my phone.. can someone please help? Mar 23, 2010Anyone else struggling with the thump of a kick drum distorting through external speakers regardless of volume? And I swear I hear it distorting through my bluetooth headphones too.Every time a heavy kick drum comes it I hear a sound that's reminiscent of a blown speaker cone. A sort of muffled flapping. It's not the speakers or the cable. It's the phone. Tested in multiple places. Had the issue with 1.5, and now still having it with 2.1.

Mar 5, 2010Anyone else have this problem? about 1 out of 4 calls the people on the other end (whether they call me or i call them) can hear me but i can't hear them. just happened again, though this time i tried 5 times in a row to make a call and it apparently went through but i had no audio. finally on the 6th try i could hear. also, i received a call but the phone never rung.
on an unrelated note i just had to resign into google. and a couple of forced close problems. hoping this isn't 2.1 related. though i had the audio problem before.
