HTC Eris :: Aloysius Rom Brings Missing Apps From Market

I have seen a lot of posts saying that people once they rooted they lost access to some of the apps they had with android 1.5.This is an HTC hero rom that was ported over to the eris that I am running right now. With this rom which is running 2.1 you will get access to the protected apps on the market (the apps that come up missing). Read the known bugs section though. Included is an app that circumvents the power down hang and I actully like using it more then shutting down the phone the convential way hope this helps. People running eris with 2.1 don't have access because it has not been officially released yet. So I downloaded the OTA update today without a hitch. I went to the Market today to finally download Pac-Man and maybe de Blob, but they're both missing. No big. I tried to do a search for them and...they aren't there. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

This is probably a moot point due to the impending official 2.1, but I noticed those missing market apps are now available in the market. I'm using v3 by the way.

I dont know if its just me or if anyone else is having the problem. Apps such as weatherbug, barcode scanner, pkt auctions, and amazon just to name a few.I have even went back to the oringinal sprint ruu with not luck and then no luck with the OTA update. Can anyone try these apps and see if you have any luck.

Several apps (such as Rings Extended and Ringdroid) are missing from the market on my wife's T-Mobile Pulse Mini, though I can get them fine on my HTC Desire. Any idea why, and what I could do to fix it?

I read that Market doesnt support some apps when users are using 2.2. Is there a way around this? Im mainly trying to get Handcent and WaveSecure. Or does anyone know where to download the apks?

I've just upgraded to 2.2 and i'm missing some apps from the market (stupidly uninstalled for space before upgrading) Can anyone else with 2.2 (official) check and tell me if you can see them in the market -Photo Studio Buddy (there should be 2 versions one lite and one paid).

I have tried several Roms and they all have the same problem, some apps are.missing, i had them a few weeks ago, like beebplayer and handybackup, they are free apps and I can see paid apps.

I had Shooter Lite (a free ballistics app) on stock Hero. Then I wiped and flashed Fresh. Now that app won't show up in the market for me.I know I read something about apps not showing up if the ROM is not "signed" by Google, or something. But the zip from Fresh 2.1.2 ends with "_signed_release". So what do you do to get missing apps to show up?

I am running Buuf Themed Rom from Forkup. It is V. 6.0 with CM V. 6.0. After installation my phone is as fast as I have ever seen it.Problem: I can't get Weatherbug Elite on the Market or Open table. Any idea's why they are invisible to me?

My wife has just got rid of her faulty X10 and moved to the X10 mini pro.
She's very frustrated as apps are just not showing up in the market. She used Bloo all the time along with AG Newspapers UK and Flood-it (game), these were 3 of the most used apps she had but when she searches the market for them it says they are not there! I have managed to get hold of the latest Bloo beta apk and installed that and it works fine.
Any ideas why these apps do not show up? the mini pro is 320x240 so it's not a resolution problem (same res as my old G1), the apps show up on my Desire (same phone network etc) the phone was unbranded/unlocked from Expansys

I just noticed while upgrading from the "pulled" 2.2 to the "official" 2.2 some of my purchased apps are no longer available from the market. Cannot be found at all. Someone said that Google has to approve every new ROM to get complete access to the market. I was just wondering if it is I who have the glitch or if anyone else has the same problems. I have heard from two other sources (in Sweden) who have the same issues.

I just noticed that market options are missing (Skyraider 2.52 Sense).
Only "top free" and "Just in" are options on the top. No paid apps, but some show in the "Just in". I thought there we supposed to be no market problems with these roms?
They appeared now. Took about seven hours, but they appeared.

I'm new to this, but when I look in Market I sometimes can't find certain apps. Was just looking for Where (where.com) a good travel app and it's not in there. Also when I install Yelp, it installs but immediately closes when I try to launch.
Is this a canada thing or what? Is the firmware so old that these phones are useless?

Today i have been having some fun today downloading and yes buying (!) apps from the mkt. well, i started getting a little instability - i couldn't get an IP from my wireless router --- i had d/l "wifi keep alive" and "wifi reconnect" and "wifi reassociation". so i went to the mkt intending to uninstall one by one until i restored my ability to DHCP to the router. selecting the "downloads" section of the mkt revealed only about two pages worth of apps. believe me - i have a LOT more apps than that! mostly all the apps that appear are purchased apps (one exception - gmail is there too) - but even then, not "all" of my purchased apps are there! in doing my due dilligence checking to see if anyone else had this problem and solved it, i found this thread and this thread - neither of which have anything to say to help me. ANY idea how to get my apps to show up in the mkt? the apps themselves ARE STILL ON MY hero, they just don't appear in the mkt)

One side effect I've noticed from the recent update: it seems like some apps are just gone from the Android Market. The one I know for sure is the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app. AppBrain still lists it (in fact, it shows that it got a price drop about 10 hours ago), but scanning the QR code, searching for it in the Android Market, even trying to install it from AppBrain all lead to the same thing: The item could not be found. I don't know if this is happening with other apps or not. I do know for sure that the MLB.com At Bat 2010 app was there before the update as I was trying to decide whether I was justified in spending the money to listen to the playoff games at work. But now it's just gone without a trace.Anyone else notice this or other apps missing?

I'm not the only one experiencing the problem. Anyone talk with the DEV yet? Just curious he has an idears or anyone here has come up with anything.AppBrain was able to add it to my list online, but when I sync'd on my phone and selected it, all it does is launch the Market app with a search term for that app, so it doesn't show up.This kinda makes me think that 2.1 #2 is not final.

I have had my HTC Desire for about 2 months now and I have just accidentally learned that if you hold down the home button for about a second or 2, it brings up a neat little 'last used apps' screen. I am using LP so i don't know if it is part of Android or the launcher but I found this pretty neat.

I'm currently running Aloysius V9 but am wondering about EvilEris 2.0. Has anybody ran both of these Roms and if so, what do you think about them? I really like most of the features included with Aloysius but if EvilEris is noticeably faster I could deal with losing some things. I know its been touched on before but if you have experience with both, could you pease post a quick comparison.

I put the file from the stickied thread on to my phone, did the wipes and then flashed it and it has been doing the thing with the red blue yellow and green lines for a couple of hours now... Is it safe to do a battery pull and try something else, or what should I do?

I have the official21 Rom that came with the all in one file. I just installed the aloysius Leo Rom and moved it to my root of my SD card. Downloaded it with my Eris. Did the wipe and dalvik wipe then flashed from my SD card but now its saying "aborted. Failed line 2(something like that) any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm doing it all from my Eris.

The recent apps display seems to function quite differently from earlier versions on 2.2. Try the following for instance: 1) Open an app 2) Click on something that takes you to another activity in the same app 3) Press the home button 4) Press and hold the home button to get the recent list of apps - select the app you chose in step 1 5) You'll be taken to whatever activity in that app is specified as the main/launcher Activity, rather than the Activity on top of the stack (as it was previously) It makes it appear to the user that the application has exited when the home screen button was pressed. I don't have my app set to clear history on launch or anything like that, and I can replicate it on the emulator and with any app on my device (Contacts, Gmail, Engadget etc) Anyone else notice this? Anyone know any reason for the changes? I must admit I quite dislike the new method.
