HTC Incredible :: How To Play Flash Audio With Screen Off?
Sep 12, 2010whenever I turn off the screen all flash pauses. I think I can understand why, but if there's a way to change this, let me know.

HTC Incredible :: Trying To Play Music - Says Unable To Play This Type Of Audio
Apr 28, 2010I took out the 8GB SD card from my Blackberry Storm and put it the Incredible.
I had a bunch of music saved on my SD Card that I downloaded from VZW Music Media thing.
When I go to music on the Incredible and go over the song (it shows the picture of the album of the song)
it says "unable to play this type of audio"

Sep 1, 2010I updated to froyo with the manual link from android central. When ever I view flash video's the audio sounds like it's been slowed down 10x. The videos run at normal speeds but the audio speed is ridiculously slow and deep sounding.

Jun 10, 2010In the past, when listening to music on my Incredible, if I locked the phone the music would continue to play just fine. If I wanted to pause/play/skip a song, all I had to do was hit the power button and above the "Slide to unlock" bar there was a music control bar.
Now, my music still plays, but those buttons are gone from the lock screen. This is a pain because in order to pause my music when someone comes to my desk at work I have to hit the power button, unlock the phone, slide down the notifications window, wait for the music app to load then hit pause.
Anyone know how to get these buttons back?

I've tried several Radio apps on the Market but no luck with them either. Is this a planned fix or do I have to go back to to a I-phone or a windows based phone?

Jun 6, 2010For the past two nights at about 1am, and once yesterday a little before noon time, my EVO started to play a random voice call memo I had on my phone buried in the SD card from a previous Touch Pro2 phone. It woke me up obviously both times at 1am and the one in the afternoon was just plain embarassing. It plays for about 30 to 45 seconds and then stops on it's own.Advanced tak killer showed only the "Music" app running, but in going to that app, it still had my audio book paused.What hidden app do you think is doing this? Anybody else seen this happen?

As you can see if the code I have tried using the AudioManager class and its methods including the deprecated setRouting method and nothing works, the setSpeatPoneOn method seems to have no effect at all, neither does the routing method.Has anyone got any ideas on how to get it to play via the earpiece instead of the spaker phone?
Android :: Play Raw Audio From C++ Side
Feb 22, 2010I need to be able to stream audio from a custom file format on the C++ side of the Android system. I am working on porting a custom media player and need to be able to open a custom file and stream audio from it. This is important as I do not think porting the whole player to JAVA is feasible from a performance stand point and moving the audio buffers through the JNI interface I believe will be too slow to keep a decent frame rate. I can handle the video on the NDK side through OpenGL ES, but the Audio I have no idea how to make this happen.

There shouldn't be any noticeable lag between the audio files. What is the best approach to achieve this? I am thinking of using MediaPlayer objects and OnCompletionListeners. But, that would mean I have to create a lot of OnCompletionListeners because I need to know every time which audio file is next. Am I missing something or is there a better approach?

Aug 23, 2010This is the oddest problem I've ran across since I started playing with rooting and ROMs. After a few days of installing a new ROM and/or kernel(happens across Bugles Beast, Liquid Frozen Yogurt, Simply Stunning, and Sapphire, etc) any stream that incorporates flash and has streaming audio, the audio stream plays in slow motion. Oddly enough, the video is fine, but the audio is awfully. It doesn't happen on day 1 on the ROMs, its ALWAYS a few days after I install and happens on any site I try. I've tried Unistalling the Flash player and tried several different builds of the leaked Flash player and it never fails.
I know its a long shot, but does anybody have ANY idea what might be causing the audio to freak out after a few days? I can't deduce if its a combination of apps that I'm installing or some kind of incompatibility between ROM and kernel choice I make...but its uber frustrating and I'm having to shy away from some of the nicer ROMs because I need my audio fix for the day.
Just tried in the new RC3 of Cyanogen and it does the same exact thing..I'm really at a loss, I have NO Idea how to tell whats causing this problem.
