I put the file from the stickied thread on to my phone, did the wipes and then flashed it and it has been doing the thing with the red blue yellow and green lines for a couple of hours now... Is it safe to do a battery pull and try something else, or what should I do?

I'm currently running Aloysius V9 but am wondering about EvilEris 2.0. Has anybody ran both of these Roms and if so, what do you think about them? I really like most of the features included with Aloysius but if EvilEris is noticeably faster I could deal with losing some things. I know its been touched on before but if you have experience with both, could you pease post a quick comparison.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have the official21 Rom that came with the all in one file. I just installed the aloysius Leo Rom and moved it to my root of my SD card. Downloaded it with my Eris. Did the wipe and dalvik wipe then flashed from my SD card but now its saying "aborted. Failed line 2(something like that) any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I'm doing it all from my Eris.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have seen a lot of posts saying that people once they rooted they lost access to some of the apps they had with android 1.5.This is an HTC hero rom that was ported over to the eris that I am running right now. With this rom which is running 2.1 you will get access to the protected apps on the market (the apps that come up missing). Read the known bugs section though. Included is an app that circumvents the power down hang and I actully like using it more then shutting down the phone the convential way hope this helps. People running eris with 2.1 don't have access because it has not been officially released yet. Your PCS vision username or password may be incorrect. I tried the fix that is on the website for the error code 67 but when I go to setting /about phone/ to the system software update I need web access to update the profile on my phone. So can anyone help me with this problem with have to call Sprint?

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Droid Eris's battery was low yesterday, and it died before i could charge it. I plugged it in through the night, and this morning when I turned it on, it wouldn't boot up. Well, it turns on, but it gets stuck on the white screen with the three skateboarding androids. I left it like that for about 4 hours, and it still hasn't changed.
I tried removing the battery, and then putting it back in, but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
I followed the instructions on stopping Sense.Didn't like the results so I tried to start it up again.Now when I power up my Eris it gives me the choice.I prefer not to have the choice but I obviously did not follow the instructs correctly.How do I remove the choice on start up?
View 1 Replies View RelatedGo to menu>settings>applications>manage applications>contacts storage and then delete the data. I backed up my Google contacts on line first by exporting the file just in case. (Not a bad idea anyway, this way you'll have an Excel database with all your contact in case anything should ever happen to your phone). Then resync. It will all go back in without a problem.
I noticed that the file is about 1/2 the size now and I think that's because I didn't sync up all the Facebook data back yet (no photos matching to people, etc.). but I think I'll make sure it all syncs continuously again first, then try adding back in the Facebook info. So far two of the problems were solved by deleting old data (I didn't want to do a factory reset after getting 2.1 just where I wanted it except for the few glitches).

View 1 Replies View RelatedWell I've finally had a problem crop up that I can't solve in my XTR 2.1.1: This morning upon booting up my phone, a force close applet appeared just after the lock screen, "com.google.process.gapps can't start.. blah" and the force close button. Everything seems to work fine, gmail, calendar etc. Just that annoying error message only when I reboot. A search here found that same issue in many different devices, including the Droid, but with no solutions offered other than a reflash. I'd like to know what caused it all of a sudden; this has been a very stable ROM. I know that all I have to do to make the issue go away is flash my recovery image, but I don't want to do that before finding a solution to this for future reference.

I am using the fadeout animation to hide it and then in myListener on its end (onAnimationEnd) I put new resource as the image on the button.
Somewhere in my app code:

Seems there is a rule that the every 4th or 5th animation does not start ...

I installed Task Manager and now Footprints and Stocks keep starting all the time. I also have Startup Auditor and have Stocks disabled (Footprint doesn't even show there). I went to the settings of those apps and there is no exit option. I go back with the arrow. How can I prevent them to start?

Im loving my phone but i seem to be having a wierd issue. Even tho i close all my apps when done with ATK many apps start up by themselves even tho i dont start them so i find myself constantly killing these apps such as google voice and sprint apps (TV and Nav).
