HTC Eris :: Droid Screen Flips Out
Nov 7, 2010I don't know if I'm the only one having problems with the homescreen flipping all the way to the left, but I have gone through 3 Erises with the same problem.

HTC Incredible :: Screen Flips On Its Own
May 20, 2010I know that myself and several others at another forum have been having issues where our home screens are flipping on their own. I have the added issue where, in whatever app I happen to be in when the phone starts freaking out, my cursor will jump from one position to many others - all on its own. after 1 month of use, I'm sure that this has something to do with light and the optical joystick. how many Incs here have the same problem.

Jul 10, 2010I don't think this was always the case but my HTC desire won't switch to both horizontals, only one. I have done a reboot and a calibration, the calibration looked fine too.

Aug 6, 2010This morning my alarm started unexpectedly at 6am. The lock screen turned into the snooze/stop screen. Dragging down didn't stop it it.. It came on every ten minutes for the next hour. My alarms were set to 9:45am and 8:30pm as usual. Even turning the phone off and on didn't stop the beeping. It was my 9:45am ringtone even. (The two are set differently)
Anyone else see anything like this? I'm on OTA 2.1
HTC Droid Eris :: Eris Home Screen Jumping Spontaneously
Jun 4, 2010This is driving me crazy. The phone is pretty much useless when this starts happening. I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

Feb 23, 2010So through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.

Dec 27, 2009I don't know if I'm missing something in the settings or what, but every time I shake my Eris while running an app the screen automatically goes back th the home screen. This gets really annoying when using apps that require such actions. Anyone else having this issue or know what I'm doing wrong. Maybe an app that's causing it.

HTC Droid Eris :: Reboots When The Screen Is Off
Aug 29, 2010I have had the Eris almost since it came out. I am updated with the latest OTA OS. In the last couple of days my phone just decides to reboot on its own. It reboots when the screen is off and I go to use the phone. I hit the key to bring the screen up and it just reboots. I am not rooted or OC'd.

Feb 5, 2010This is a new issue I am having; I've had my Eris since December and had no problems with it. My phone is no longer going to sleep itself. I set the 'Screen Time Out' all the way down to 15 seconds but if I don't hit the end button to manually put it to sleep, it would never sleep. This is really frustrating because since I was used to not having to do that, I'll put it in my pocket without hitting the end button and end up clicking a lot of stuff with my bottom.What is this problem? I've not downloaded any applications as of the last month and I use a task killer every time I put the phone down.

Dec 12, 2009My wifes screen cracked on her Eris. And get this......it was from wiping it off on her shirt. She simply wiped it on the front of her shirt and now there are like 4 long cracks from the bottom right up to the top left. You can see some liquid seeping out also. She didn't wipe it hard, either. I'm wondering if the Eris kind of "twisted" while wiping and that caused it to crack. Now if you twist it a bit it creaks.
The cracks seem to be on the interior of the screen, and you can't feel them on the face of the screen.
Is the Eris that delicate that the screen can crack wiping it on your shirt? Very dissapointing. I suppose I'll have to end up dishing out $89 for a crappy refurbished one from Assurion. I'll take pics when I can.
