I don't know if I'm missing something in the settings or what, but every time I shake my Eris while running an app the screen automatically goes back th the home screen. This gets really annoying when using apps that require such actions. Anyone else having this issue or know what I'm doing wrong. Maybe an app that's causing it.

I just D/L Panda Home.. I love it .. Only problem is.. How do I get the Bluetooth,3GS,Wi-Fi,Gps icons back on my Home screen i cant figure it out Or is there or is there something i need to download while using Panda Home.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed lock 2.0 and i was just adjusting the settings and now every time I'm in my phone and i touch the "Home" button it locks my phone instead of taking me back to my home screen! Is this normal? Did I accidental do it in the settings? HELP its driving me crazy

I just did the OTA 2.1 installation (from 1.5), and currently I'm setting up my home screens to match how they looked before the upgrade. I previously had an icon called "Albums" that would take me to a listing of video, camera, and download albums. I kind of remember installing it from Programs, but now I can't find it there. I've also looked under the HTC and Android widgets, and under Shortcuts, and it's nowhere to be found.
Anyone know how I can get it back?
So through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know how I did it, but on my home screen, originally I saw this:with the phone on the left, 2nd home screen to get to all the apps, and the contacts button to the right with the 5-7 screens.somehow I got it on some "Linux" mode where when I press anywhere on the screen, it will shrink to three small windows, two of which are empty and 1 of the windows only displays the following icons: Droid Market, Browser, and Maps along with a dock at the bottom. I want to go back to the way it was beforehand. Does anyone know how to fix this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Moto Droid since it basically came out last Nov and I have never ever run into a problem with the phone until last night. I had a phone call and after I got off the phone, I noticed my droid reseted itself and it wasn't going back to the home screen. Meaning it would just display the word "Droid" then go right into the droid red eye screen, then right back to the word Droid and just kept repeating itself.
I took the battery out and put it back in, but it kept doing the same thing. I am really not sure what would cause my phone to do this, but the only new change I can think of was that I installed the "TMZ" application to my droid about 3 hours prior to this happening. But the application worked fine and I really hope it wasn't because of that. Is there anything I can do before going to Verizon? I would really hate giving up my phone with all my stuff in it, but I know theres probably not much I can do if I cant even get to the home screen.
Whenever I back out of a screen mainly txt msg, I get something highlighted in orange, and when I back out into the home screen it does the same thing. Usually it highlights either the phone shortcut or the wifi icon in my power bar.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I am using any app and press the home button, the home screen blacks out for a few secs and it takes around 10 sec to get all the icons back and before I can start using my phone again. I am using a non rooted mytouch 3g.
This problem does not happen if I exit an app by pressing the back button. It becomes very annoying at times.
This is driving me crazy. The phone is pretty much useless when this starts happening. I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

So if it is out there then I am sorry for the repetitive post.I just updated to 2.1, and can't figure out how to switch to the Home instead of HTC Sense Home? Anyone out there know how to do this? Before on 1.5 OS, all I had to do was hold down the "Home" button to display my most recent 6 apps, then hit the button again to pick if I wanted "Home" or "HTC Sense".Now, that does not work.

Right now, I'm trying out Helix launcher. I like the fact that I can add any shortcut to the bottom row next to the launcher. Open Home seems to have the most skins available. I like the clean look of the generic Android Home, but 3 screens is a little lacking.

One being when I am talking on the phone and I need to hit a button how do I get my screen to turn back on? Sometimes its like the phone knows it needs to turn back on and other times I fight with it. Also the battery life is killing me but I do use it alot.
View 4 Replies View RelatedForgive me if someone else has asked this, but I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer.I understand that the proximity/light sensor turns off the screen when the Eris is next to your ear to prevent "face dailing", etc. And, I understand the screen comes back on when the sensor senses light. Ok, that works fine.BUT, what do you do if you are using the phone in the dark? When I pull the phone away, the screen will not come back on because it does not sense light. For example, trying to delete a voicemail if you're using the phone in the dark. I've tried every button to re-activate the screen, and the only one that will work is the "End" key. And that obviously ends the call.

Problem #1: When I hit the home button it used to ask if I wanted to go to the home screen or the HTC sense now it doesn't ask, how do I get it to ask again? Problem #2: Which is better to use the home screen or HTC sense? Why? Problem #3: I see that there is a new upgrade but when I go to the system upgrade it tells me my system is up to date? It currently reads V 1.5. I just wish I had a manual that I can just sit down and read and a tutorial to show me all the advantages of this phone over my bb.

I was trying to figure out how to delete one of those contacts from my favorites and I sent the whole screen into the remove box and deleted it (I've since figured out how to remove a singe contact).
