you know how you can scroll sideways from screen to screen? i want one of my screens to be Handcent Sms instead of just having it as an icon....is this possible? If it is, how do I do it?

View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone's app screen stutter slightly when scrolling? If you quick flick to the bottom it seems somewhat ok but if you slow-scroll it seems to stutter. It just isn't as smooth as my iPhone. It's not terrible but comparatively annoying.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis morning my alarm started unexpectedly at 6am. The lock screen turned into the snooze/stop screen. Dragging down didn't stop it it.. It came on every ten minutes for the next hour. My alarms were set to 9:45am and 8:30pm as usual. Even turning the phone off and on didn't stop the beeping. It was my 9:45am ringtone even. (The two are set differently)
Anyone else see anything like this? I'm on OTA 2.1
I know how to display an image that is bigger than the screen. That's fairly simple and explained in details here, however, this method makes you able to scroll as far as you want, event if you have left the image and you just have black screen. I would like to know how we can make the scrolling stop when we reach the side of the picture...
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo through a weird assortment of events i managed to crack the screen on my Eris. But this is the trippy part, I didnt break the glass but the touch sensors underneath. So now i am unable to use the menu or home buttons and the entire left part of my screen and more. I am unable to unlock my device in anyway that i know(menu button, the slider). Is there any other way to unlock it? I now have 11 unread texts and 4 voicemails that I desperately want to view. Oh and I know some of you won't be happy about what I'm about to say but.... I took the leap to the moto droid. I had the chance to get it on a 1 year because I didnt get insurance and I went for it. I will really miss my Eris but the keyboard lag was just killing me.

This gets really annoying when using apps that require such actions. Anyone else having this issue or know what I'm doing wrong. Maybe an app that's causing it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo everything is perfect about my Eris except that the scroll-ball doesn't scroll left anymore. This isn't the first time the problem came up. My last Eris had the same problem. It scrolls in every direction except which is kinda annoying as I use it alot more than I thought I would. Should I take it up with Verizon? It isn't a life or death situation but it makes editing sentences in texts a pain.

I have a listview that when scrolled and the items go off of the screen they are not redrawn when I scroll back to them (the text and checkbox). In fact, items that are off the bottom of the screen in the listview never get drawn when scrolling to them. This only happens in Froyo. Any other version it works just fine. I have checked and the data is there as expected in the adapter when the getItem method is called, it is just not visible. The listview item is there (it's occupying the same amount of screen space per item), I just cannot see the text or checkbox once scrolled off screen and back on again. Code...

The trouble is when the ScrollView has many items (requiring scrolling), it prevents the button at the bottom from showing. The bottom button is sort of pushed off the screen. Look at the code below. If you change the for loop to add only 2 buttons, then the bottom button will show. I have created a widget to be displayed on android emulator's home screen to display some long text. In my main.xml layout file i've already set TextView properties like singleLine="true", ellipsize="marquee", focusable="true" etc, but still when my widget is displayed on home screen text does not move/scroll.code...

I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

Im trying to find an app or program that is just like the screen when the moto droid is plugged into the multimedia dock (you know, the screen with the time, date, music and weather). It reboots when the screen is off and I go to use the phone. I hit the key to bring the screen up and it just reboots. I am not rooted or OC'd.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis is a new issue I am having; I've had my Eris since December and had no problems with it. My phone is no longer going to sleep itself. I set the 'Screen Time Out' all the way down to 15 seconds but if I don't hit the end button to manually put it to sleep, it would never sleep. This is really frustrating because since I was used to not having to do that, I'll put it in my pocket without hitting the end button and end up clicking a lot of stuff with my bottom.What is this problem? I've not downloaded any applications as of the last month and I use a task killer every time I put the phone down.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wifes screen cracked on her Eris. And get this......it was from wiping it off on her shirt. She simply wiped it on the front of her shirt and now there are like 4 long cracks from the bottom right up to the top left. You can see some liquid seeping out also. She didn't wipe it hard, either. I'm wondering if the Eris kind of "twisted" while wiping and that caused it to crack. Now if you twist it a bit it creaks.
The cracks seem to be on the interior of the screen, and you can't feel them on the face of the screen.
Is the Eris that delicate that the screen can crack wiping it on your shirt? Very dissapointing. I suppose I'll have to end up dishing out $89 for a crappy refurbished one from Assurion. I'll take pics when I can.
