this is just one more reason that the eris is better (IMO) than the moto droid.
and it makes sense that the nexus 1 screen is tied with the eris since they are both HTC *sigh* and of course the iphone beats all what a surprise ... heres the link:

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy screen has recently stopped vibrating when I touch it. It will happen as I am typing a text message. sometimes it will begin the vibrating again before I finish the message, sometimes I will play on the phone for a few minutes before it randomly comes back.

I tried restoring it to see if certain apps maybe causing it but that is not the issue. Restored still same problem. it happens about every 5 minutes.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI had Swype, all was good. Then it started freezing my screen, or misguiding the touch to the point that removing the battery was the only option. It was not a phone issue, because I factory reset and it works now. I had to because disabling Swype did not solve the problem. Is there any beta or anything out there?I CAN'T GO BACK TO TOUCH INPUT!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI took a video on my Moto Droid, and sent it to my friend on his Eris. He downloaded the file from Gmail and but when goes to play the file, it states that the video is not supported. We have tried converting it to a .mp4 and it will not play either, even with a couple of App's from the Marketplace same result. Yet I thought the droid/Eris both supported .3GP? Works fine on his PC with Quicktime, and the video plays fine on my Droid. Is it because I took it in Hi-Res mode, and the Eris does not support that screen resolution? Or did we screw something up?

But my wife loves my phone so I plan on giving her mine and either getting another eris and rooting or a Moto Droid and rooting. I've been trying to read up on the Droid and the different ROMS available and have some questions.First I want to make a few things clear:
1. This IS NOT a phone comparison.
2. The Incredilble IS NOT an option since it can't be rooted and I don't want to spend $200 on it.
3. I'm looking for WELL INFORMED OPINIONS, if you don't have one keep moving there is nothing to see here.
To be fair I've obviously done a lot more reading on the Eris which is why I'm looking for well informed opinions from Droid owners that way I can make a well informed decision.
I read a few threads about better batteries for the eris, and I though several people recommended the touch pro 2 battery, since it is 1500mAh. So I found a deal on an OEM one for my phone. Unfortunately it does not fit well. Although it is not much thicker then the eris battery the corners are not rounded so the back does not fit on all the way.
What do you guys think should I try one of the 1500 generics that say they are for the eris, or stick with my stock battery?
The middle pics are with the touch pro2 battery and the last is the stock eris battery.
This is driving me crazy. The phone is pretty much useless when this starts happening. I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

I find myself calling people when all I want to do is scroll down my contacts list, and while browsing on the internet, scrolling through a web page ends up with me selecting hyperlinks instead.Is there a way to make it so you have to keep your finger on an item a little longer to actually select it?

Im trying to find an app or program that is just like the screen when the moto droid is plugged into the multimedia dock (you know, the screen with the time, date, music and weather). Ive already tried a program called DockRunner, but it FCs every time.

Personally I am not really sure that I need one, but at the same time, a little extra juice is always a welcomed option for a smartphone especially when you are a heavy user.That said, it seems that Seidio has two options available, a 1750mAh and a 3500mAh which are selling for $49.95 and $69.95 respectively.The main difference here, aside from the 3500 offering more juice (and being more expensive) is that the 1750 model was designed to fit with the original battery cover. And that means no extra thickness. The 3500mAh battery on the other hand will add some extra thickness, though its said to only be 3-4mm. The nice part here is that this battery does come with the replacement back cover.
