HTC Droid Eris :: Incoming Call Ringing Delay
Feb 1, 2010Every time I get an incoming call, something weird happens. I see the number call up on my caller ID and then like 10 seconds later it rings. Has anybody else experienced this or is it just me? Is their any settings I can go to adjust ring time?

Oct 26, 2010I looked & was unable to find an answer to this when I searched. My phone is actually RINGING with the ringtone when I get a 2nd call on call waiting. I'd much prefer the beep as it is very disruptive and a friend asked me the other day what that noise was. It was my phone ringing for an incoming call!

The app would have an answer button that when pressed would perform the regular call answer action, but this isn't what I need help with. I've searched the internet and haven't been able to find any consensus on this issue. My app only needs to run during the call ringing stage and nothing more. What would I have to listen for to do this and what manifest entries would I need? Forgive my incorrect/nonexistant use of terminology, I haven't worked with Android in close to a year and haven't freshened up fully yet.

May 5, 2010My phone will sometimes not ring at all when I receive an incoming call. It will be waiting for me to pickup, but nothing will be coming out of the speakers. Also, sometimes when someone calls it rings and rings on their end and go to my voice mail, but my phone will not even register that they called. Oh, and it randomly revolted once or twice just sitting there. I am probably going to exchange my phone, but I wanted to see if that is the best course of action.

I usually can fix problems by myself, because I am skilled in Android, but this one I have to turn to my friends in the Android community and ask for some assistance. Next, the phone will randomly change my ringtone. Next, the Sense clock/weather widget displays a location that I don't even live in, and sometimes it will show just a number. How I can fix this, without rooting (waiting for official Froyo).

Oct 27, 2010Today I confirmed my suspicions about Copilot Live - an incoming call causes navigation to stop. Upon completing the phone call, the app loads - not where it left off, but from scratch - and then calculates the route from your current position.
Is this behavior unique to my installation? Or the Motorola Droid?
I should add that NDrive also stops upon an incoming call, but does not automatically resume afterwards.
I'm starting to wonder if this is some remnant of development for some non-multitasking phone OS that I won't name.

Nov 18, 2010Is there a way to mute the ring tone of an incoming call while I am deciding what to do with the call? This morning some idiot rang me at 0150h. I was fumbling to mute the tone before it woke up the whole house. But I could not find any option. In meetings, it is a nuisance if the ringing blares away while I make my way out of the room to take the call.

Sep 9, 2010Got my Incredible last Wednesday.It has been great.It does not seem to have any of the issues others have been having until last night.It started having problems with the ringtone.When some one calls it will ring but only for a second than it goes silent.I can still answer the call but I know I will miss calls this way.Also sometimes it is hard to open it up from the lock screen to answer call when this happens.Anyone else have this issue.I already did a battery pull and called *228 for a prl update.Still having issue. Of course when I took it to the Verizon store it did not do it.
