Motorola Droid : Weird Ringing After Missed Call

This has happened before and I fixed it, but i do not remember how.After I loaded wiped and loaded BB a weird ringtone that I don't remember having rings after a missed call.And it doesn't stop.I was walking around PetSmart today and I thought there was music coming from the shelves but it was really quiet.I was thoroughly confused until I went to the parking lot and figured out that it followed me, then deduced it was my phone.So this should be easy to turn off/silence I just can't figure it out.Anyone - you will get a "thanks" if it works.

Not sure if ne one knows about this, or even cares but I was excited so im sharing.I Froyo'd my droid using the instructions from droid-life found here: Download: Newer Motorola Droid Froyo Leak FRF57 | Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog.When I did so, my Missed Call app stopped working. However, Missed Call LED found in the market works great on my Froyo 2.2 Droid.Happy rooting everyone.

my Droid X is doing something completely unacceptable.It misses calls.There's no ring, no missed call indicator, just suddenly a voicemail indicator pops up to tell me that someone left a voice message.Sometimes it only happens once, and will receive the next call without a problem.Sometimes it'll do it three or four calls in a row.I've already talked to Verizon about it, and they've gone through the script. Before I call to yell at them until they replace the phone with one that works, I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with the problem.

I'm on O2 UK and if my wife rings me from her O2 mobile or from our home landline my Desire doesn't ring but shows the missed call icon in the notification area. what happens on the phone you ring from i.e my wife�s mobile or our landline all you here is 2 short rings then the phone goes dead.I only have wifi switched on and not the mobile network.that is to say I don't have the 'mobile network' option ticked in 'wireless & networks' screen. Has anyone else had this problem?PS the phone rings fine when I ring from say my work mobile or my work landline and also from other mobiles including ones on O2 UK. >PPS tried turning off the option 'Quiet ring on pickup' but that hasn't made any difference either

I rooted last weekend. After every missed call I keep getting a text message that says: If I call the second number (408-970-0000) (always the same) - it says "Our records indicate that you are calling from a SMS voice message equipped handset. If you have recently purchased a handset that does not contain this feature press 1, otherwise press 2." How can I make this stop?

I got Missed Call app because I liked the idea of different LED notification colors, plus some other stuff. However, when you start program it says to disable droid sms notifications (I think they mean just sms anyways), but I couldn't find that in settings. Also, not crazy about the icon it gives you in notification area, as one other poster pointed out, but I didn't know if that was partially due to having already gotten one notification from standard sms app, it's like a weird white sms icon, with a red exclamation mark, which always make me think it's some emergent notification, when it's just a standard sms. Also- LED was working at one point, but now I just get standard green, I assume this is because notifications is still enabled in Droid settings. So:
1) Is that the icon you always get, in notification area, for this app?
2) How do I disable sms notifications, or is it all notifications, and does Missed Call replace everything?
3) How's this app working for you, do you like it, is it working well?

Every time I get an incoming call, something weird happens. I see the number call up on my caller ID and then like 10 seconds later it rings. Has anybody else experienced this or is it just me? Is their any settings I can go to adjust ring time?

So recently my eris has beeping ringing very quite. My text messaging notification is as loud as normal, but everytime I get a call I cant hear my phone unless I am right next to it.

Was a fan of this app. Used it to give me custom color LED (purple) and sound for a call that was missed. As well, for calendar services I used it to flash a custom color LED (blue) and play a sound. Essentially, you could override the system settings and pickup where it left off.Well, as of 2.2 this app is busted. The dev claims to have made a more 2.2 friendly versions.. but its busted. No more color LED selections - stock Droid green and green only - and the Calendar notifications are 100% busted. A missed notification call works in that you can get your custom sound, but only green LED (which is already the stock color for like 3-4 other notification). But like I said.. nothing for calendar.So.. anyone have any tips for replacements in 2.2.I found one - Calendar Notification - and it CAN do colored LED (I used blue) and a custom tone that broke in Missed Call. And I still use Missed Call for missed calls, but hate the green LED. Would love to find 1 app to do it all, hate having 2 apps - 1 of which is busted. and BTW, never figured out why the dev always says the gMail notification is not possible. I have used an app - and they have a 2.2 version that works perfect - called gMail Notifier.

I have literally tried everything to turn this off on my Motorola Cliq.
I went to my home screen, clicked menue, then settings.
I went to notification settings then to notification sounds. There is not a silent! I don't know how to make this sound go away!
I tried installing the "Missed Call" app, hoping that I could override the default settings on my phone, but it doesnt. Now I have two missed call notifications.

any body else like a beep when you miss a call? thats what I'm after.I was using missed reminder but it keeps my phone at 100% awake.not sure how good that is for my battery life.does everybody just check there phone alot to see if you missed a call? LED doesnt do me much good because you cant see it when its in the phone holder.it would be nice if it worked like the email or the text message does.

Since the time I have upgraded to KitKat- I have been facing the issue of Call History. Every Time I miss a Call and I click on the name/number- Its asks me to select a default option of whoch way to open that entry , that is, through Dialer or through History. I tried selecting history and clicked on the "always use this option" but the same thing kept happening every time. After a few tries, I chose the other option and did the same thing and it again kept appearing... It looks like there's a bug in this and it never really saves my preference.

Got my android yesterday havent really played with it other than installing app killer, and checking to see if i could root(i cant :sadface and noticed on my mothers phone(same droid eris) that her notification light was blinking Green. i Checked the manual from the verizon website and all it mentions is green solid, red solid, and red blinking, nothing about Green blinking. It was not plugged in, it was not being used. I thought it was perhaps saying "hey you have a new message/email/missed call" but she had no notifications. anyone know what Blinking green means?

I'd like to know which one actually works for Motorola's Droid. I think it should've come standard with the phone, but it didn't. I really need a working app; the two I've installed (Missed Reminder and Missed Call) don't seem to work just as they're supposed to.

my phone will freeze for 10-15 seconds, then I'll get MAYBE 1 second of phone call, then it'll go to missed call. What's happening here? A similar issue that's also been happening is that I may get the call to ring normally, but then I can't push Answer on the screen so I can't pick up the call. I've updated to Froyo through the OTA update. This wasn't happening after the upgrade, just recently. I've disabled ATK to rule that out, and it's still happening after a reboot.

I was hearing things the first time this happened, but before I answered an incoming call on my Evo I heard a voice on the other end while my phone was ringing. Well today I heard it again so I decided to check it out, so I called myself on my girlfriends phone and lo and behold I could hear myself on my Evo while it was ringing before I even touched the slide to unlock.

Currently I use NQ mobile call blocker. When I receive a call from the blocked numbers, this app respond to the caller by allowing two or three ringing and after that cancel that call. I need to know are there any app that can use zero ringing? Which means no ringing respond to caller, instantly cancel call.

The phone sounds an incoming call with the female voice identifying the name and number of the caller. Usually, I can't hear it--it's too soft. I've found and played with all the settings I'm aware (still learning more).

I looked & was unable to find an answer to this when I searched. My phone is actually RINGING with the ringtone when I get a 2nd call on call waiting. I'd much prefer the beep as it is very disruptive and a friend asked me the other day what that noise was. It was my phone ringing for an incoming call!

I am writing a service which listens an incoming call. I have a function but it behaves differently under these cases when i call the function in case case Telephony Manager . CALL _STATE_OFFHOOK: it works! when I call the same function in case case Telephony Manager. CALL _STATE_RINGING: it doesnt work. it seems that when an incoming call happens the system blocks some components. what should I do to prevent from this situation. Should I move my calculation to a background thread? Does it work in that way?

Whenever I receive a hangouts video call, my Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Windows 8 laptop do not ring. I've checked the settings, have the latest version of hangouts etc but all I get is a regular hangouts message alert, not a proper ringing.

I'm trying to write an app that will run when the phone rings but NOT answer the incoming call. The app would have an answer button that when pressed would perform the regular call answer action, but this isn't what I need help with. I've searched the internet and haven't been able to find any consensus on this issue. My app only needs to run during the call ringing stage and nothing more. What would I have to listen for to do this and what manifest entries would I need? Forgive my incorrect/nonexistant use of terminology, I haven't worked with Android in close to a year and haven't freshened up fully yet.

My wife just got the D2 a few weeks ago. It was working flawlessly. We put on a Azure case and Skinomi cover on the front screen 2 weeks ago. Starting last week she started to had a few of occasions it doesn't ring but goes straight to voice mail. Not always from the same caller. No unusual apps running. She also always has her Data turned off because she has the $15 dollar plan. She only uses the wifi's. She is not using Google voice. She is getting to the point that she is wondering if she should take her phone back because she has no clue who is calling because it does not say missed call she only knows if they call if they leave a voice mail.

I have a cheapo wired headset (that works really good btw), but when it is plugged in, my phone does not ring normally; only through the headset itself. It does vibrate, but when Im in the car, I miss calls. Unplugging the headset just makes one more thing for me to worry about while driving when getting calls. Does anyone know how to make the phone ring normally through the speaker with a wired headset plugged in.

at night i'll "silence" the phone (using volume keys) to alarm only/ringer volume X so other notifications don't go thru and alarm wakes me up in the morning. so far it failed 3 times even tho i have 2 different alarms set at two different times alarm did not ring at all. i know for a fact i didn't snooze/dismiss it because as soon as the alarm goes off i'm up.i'm a blackberry convert and it never failed on it while phone was in phone calls only mode.is there something i'm doing wrong or what?
