The phone sounds an incoming call with the female voice identifying the name and number of the caller. Usually, I can't hear it--it's too soft. I've found and played with all the settings I'm aware (still learning more).

I looked & was unable to find an answer to this when I searched. My phone is actually RINGING with the ringtone when I get a 2nd call on call waiting. I'd much prefer the beep as it is very disruptive and a friend asked me the other day what that noise was. It was my phone ringing for an incoming call!

Unfortunately thats something that very important because she records her nursing lectures. Am I missing it, or is there not one there. Also, if it is missing one, is there one in the market that works well, and that will work on the Epic?

Overall, I think the specs of the Epic win-out but the support (both HTC and community) for Evo is far superior. All of the debates about hardware and I havn't been able to find any real comparison regarding call quality. Since I actually plan to talk on the phone, what do those of you have one or the other or both have to say about sound/call quality? Ultimately, I think this will be the most important factor in my decision.

I wonder what other BH2 users use to make a voice or video call. If would be really helpful if someone can let me know. I'm in a long-distance(9000km) relationship.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had a few of occasions that my incredible doesn't ring but goes straight to voice mail. Not always from the same caller and not any common apps running that I can think of. The callers have told me they heard 5 or 6 rings and then got voice mail. I checked their phone entries and straight to voice mail is not checked. I had two of them call me right back and the phone rang. I am not using Google voice. It maybe too early to call it a problem but thought I would post to see if any others have had this happen.

Well today I heard it again so I decided to check it out, so I called myself on my girlfriends phone and lo and behold I could hear myself on my Evo while it was ringing before I even touched the slide to unlock.

When I receive a call from the blocked numbers, this app respond to the caller by allowing two or three ringing and after that cancel that call. I need to know are there any app that can use zero ringing? Which means no ringing respond to caller, instantly cancel call.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new Google Voice account, and I went through all the steps to set it up on my phone, and it seemed that everything went swimmingly. I then picked up my house phone, and called my cell to test everything out, and I just got a busy signal after it stopped ringing. I had a few other people test calling me, and played around with the settings a bit, but I couldn't make it work. Any ideas?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Voice Recorder and it seems to work fine, expect for one thing, the voice quality when played back sucks! My old Samsung Sync was so much easier to understand, when playing back voice recorded messages. The Epic has a lot of hiss and scratchiness to it. I hope that's not what other people are hearing on the other end of our conversations. Anyone else have similar results using Voice Recorder, or comments from people their talking to? Could the lousy quality be because of the app, or the Epic's mic?

CALL _STATE_OFFHOOK: it works! when I call the same function in case case Telephony Manager. Fortunately the reboot time is very fast, but of all the bugs to possibly run into on any cell phone, the scariest is the idea of dropping calls. I am convinced this may be a software glitch that will get fixed with an update.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had this happen to them? You place a call, and when you're done you attempt to hit the big red "END" button, but nothing happens? I've actually had the call counter tick off an extra 20-30 seconds before it hangs up.
Given that this is the main screen and not one of the capacitive buttons, I find this behavior very strange.
