Motorola Droid :: Phone Been Acting Weird

Well ever sense i downloaded the mui rom and and went back to what i originally had my phone has been acting really werid . Here i will explain Every time i go in recovery to install a new rom /theme/ kernal or w/e i keepp getting this E:can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 also can't mount sd card.it does this 2 or 3 times before it actaully works , i was wondering is there anyway to fix this also is other people experiencing it or just me ????

So, I'm an HTC Magic user, I bought my phone unlocked from Greece and use it in the UK on Orange pay as you go. Following an sms w/ an attachment I received, the phone has been acting very strange and I need your help.Ok, I'll try to make this as clear as possible. So, because I'm on pay as you go, I have two apn options, one of which is fake, so that i can change from/to the proper apn settings whenever I want and the phone doesn't automatically connect for any reason if I don't want it to (so as to avoid paying). I was on wi-fi most of the time anyway. This was working perfectly for me, until.About 3 weeks ago, I received a txt message from 1550 (which, I think is orange's spambot) with the word "RockCorps" and an attachment. I accidentally clicked "download" and then clicked cancel as soon as I realised. I'm not sure if anything downloaded at all, nothing I noticed.HOWEVER, following that exact message, suddenly, although I was on the "null", fake apn, my phone went on gprs. I could see the icon and the NetSentry app recorded activity as well. I have NO clue what it was trying to download or upload at all.
I went into the apn switching screen to make sure I wasn't still on proper GPRS from the last time, but the selected option was the fake apn, which, up to then, gave me no data. No settings had changed on the fake apn, but it seems that even without selecting it, the fact that I had the proper apn listed enabled mobile data.

Maybe its just my phone acting "special" but if I open the browser and allow Google to find my location (its my home page) then the browser will close while trying to find where I am.
If I stop it before it gets to that part and open a different page or just decline the website's ability to find my location then it will stay up and running without further issue.
Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions? I've cleared all cache, cookies, etc etc. Maps works fine and finds my exact location so I'm just kinda uuhhhh not sure

Ok so I have atk on my phone and every now and then I will go in to look and see what apps are running. Recently after killing all the apps that are running besides a few like messages and mail. Then ill lock my phone not use it or just text go back and look at the atk and there are so many apps open like as if the phone had just restarted. Music is open, clock, droid, facebook, and a whole long list. Why is it doing this? its slowing my phone down with all these random apps just opening.

Whenever I'm using the eris it seems to be messing up 80% percent of the it freezes up completely on me, it scrolls by itself, and when m texting it loves to just stop working...I use this eris as my work phone i have to text my boss a lot and with my phone screwing up sometimes it takes me 10 min. just to send a text..also i performed a factory reset and my phones still doing the same exact thing..what should i do?

When I try to use the Droid while connected to the computer through the USB (not mounted), the touchscreen is acting up. For example I press the home button and it thinks I pressed something on the screen instead. I was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem and what might cause it (maybe some malfunctioning app?). It gets back to normal as soon as I unplug it.

I have the htc magic and its been acting up as of late. It's been running super slow, taking over a minute or more to load the home screen after running apps at times. My most recent, and worst problem, is every time I get a text message and go to turn of the display, it won't light up but instead shows the android loading screen (the one when you turn the phone one.) Sometimes ill already have it on and when I click the text box in the messaging app to reply, it does the same thing. Any suggestions on how to fix this? If not, I'm going to look into getting a new one or just switching to a phone with less hassle.

i bought head phones (( gold tips )) and a 3.5 male to male stereo audio cable (( non gold tips )) to play my muisc player on a big stereo.So heres the problem when i first plugged it in my music would glitch , a head set icon came up not the head phone then the pic of the album cover would flip 6 times then jump the play list all the way to the end but the playlist wasnt ON random that sh*t broke my heart.Y my EVO ? anyway i called sprint and there advanced tect lol basiclly told me 2 take the batt out wait 3 min then put it back, so then i hooked it back up and it worked 4 a few minutes then started jumpin again.so sick to my stomach i just started pluggin it in and out (( slowly )) until the head phone icon came up and it would play PERFECT> oh and my gold tip head phone work great from the start.

I have some strange problem when using pandora connected to my car stereo via aux in. If I start it up, it plays perfectly. If a call comes in, it pauses and takes the call. then resumes just fine after the call. but if I manually pause the music and switch to another app. when I return to pandora and un-pause the music, it plays but sounds "garbled" like it is under water! I have to reboot the droid at this point to get it back to normal.

My sister just got a brand new Droid about 4 days ago. I noticed when holding both droids next to each other that her Droid always has 1 extra bar of service than mine. I don't understand why?? Like she will have 4 3g bars and i will have just 3. Sometimes if she has 3G but none of the bars are lit, my droid is on 1X. We live in a rural area and 3G coverage is spotty but it works pretty well most of the time. I just don't get why her droid would be getting better reception than mine? My phone does have root installed, but no custom rom or anything. Just a couple mods to the video recording quality and auto hi quality youtube videos. also tried to load the same website on both droids and hers went pretty fast. mine was stuck on 1X.

I have root i guess but this is whats weird. i can load rom manager and load spr and new roms etc. but then in apps like setcpu and titanium backup it says i dont have root access? but before this i had the first 2.2 rom that was released and that allowed setcpu but not titanium backup. its so confusing and now i cant open setcpu if i load my new kernal it runs at the highest speed but its only read-only and i cant change it. what can or should i do?

I was one of the "few" users who wouldn't complain about the 2.1. update on their Hero and my phone was working fine, until I installed Launcher Pro. Yes, my phone become even more responsive and I was actually glad with the new home launcher. But for some reason after installing that, and even though my phone was more responsive, my phone ringtones wouldn't go off whenever I would get a text message or a call. Not even the alarm would go off and thanks to that, I've been late to work lately lol But anyway, I decided to uninstall LP and now HTC Sense launcher forcloses every time it tries to load, so my phone is sort of useless now because I can't even open any other app. I already did a soft reset, removed the battery and HTC Sense is still foreclosing. I've been thinking that the best thing to do is doing a hard reset, but is there anything else I can do to fix this without doing a hard reset to my phone? BTW, my phone has the 2.1 update, the very first one released by Sprint and hasn't been updated again after that and my phone is not rooted.

so I took the plunge, because of the soon-coming upgrade that might wipe out root function for a while.I rooted, set up recovery, made a nandroid and then installed bugless beast 0.7.5 and then bought setcpu and temp monitor and root explorer.It may just be me but not only do I see no real improvement (set my profiles in setcpu) but I actually see it hang up from time to time. After a phone call the screen will go black for 1 or 2 seconds and then the call log screen will appear. Hardly 800mhz style if I'm reading everyone's experiences correctly.Should I do a complete nandroid style recovery? Will this be a better install than just using the update.zip?

I just had a question about Voicemail messages I get, whenever I get a notification for a voicemail that came in it shows up in a bunch of weird characters just has a bunch of weird numbers and what not, does anyone have any clue what these text message mean? I even get them when i delete messages from my voicemail box which I'm starting to get really confused over.

This has happened before and I fixed it, but i do not remember how.After I loaded wiped and loaded BB a weird ringtone that I don't remember having rings after a missed call.And it doesn't stop.I was walking around PetSmart today and I thought there was music coming from the shelves but it was really quiet.I was thoroughly confused until I went to the parking lot and figured out that it followed me, then deduced it was my phone.So this should be easy to turn off/silence I just can't figure it out.Anyone - you will get a "thanks" if it works.

My friends Droid with 2.2 displays a weird notification window whenever she gets text messages. When she gets a text, the notification window comes up with the message, the background picture is a nicely rendered white Android holding a phone up to his "ear". Across the top, it says something along the lines of "leslie2099 is 0.7 miles away. Chat Now!". I'm an HTC Hero user with Cyanogenmod 6, so I am reasonably familiar with Froyo, but I can't figure out what this is from. Any ideas?

Some weird things are going on with my battery. I was running Liquid Froyo 1.9 and even 1.95 using slayher kernel and i even tried the p3droid kernel and when i reached about 40% battery, my battery would just jump to 20% and after that pretty quickly to about 5% and then its dead. I recently installed ultimate droid 2.0.0 also using slayher and even then it still did it. I don't understand why this is happening, i havn't even used my phone that much for it to reach 5% so fast, especially jump from 40 or 50% down to 20% in an instant.

I've started to notice that past a certain point, my phone doesn't clip like I'd expect it to, but sorta softly eases into a really terrible sort of compression that drives me nuts, particularly when I'm trying to run sound through my car stereo over A2DP. It seems that once you reach the last 3 or 4 ticks of the volume control, the music will start compressing heavily which really mucks with the audio quality and causes the music to lose punch in the midrange (as generally it seems tracks with high levels of bass are affected by this.) Has anyone else noticed this? I assumed at first it was an A2DP issue (possibly conditioning the sound for the A2DP stream?) but then heard it when hooked up hardwired as well.If you have noticed this, is it just a 'feature' of the phone, or are other music player apps not affected by the issue? Is there one you'd recommend? Obviously I'm not expecting audiophile quality sound but it is quite annoying when suddenly the middle drops out of a track in the midst of listening.

Has anyone had a problem with there trackball acting like it was moving on its own??? Occasionally my phone will start scrolling down a page on It's own like I'm using the trackball. Verizon said they are not aware of this issue. Anyone have this problem???

Hopefully someone has had this problem. My phone has just recently started to have this problem. When I am at the home screen, my phone will begin to swipe to the left by itself even when my finger is nowhere near the screen. When tilting the phone or aggravating the accelerometer, it begins to do it more. Also, some of the icons are selected green by itself (but not actually selecting the icon if that makes sense).
Argh, I really don't want to hard reset (not even sure if that'll fix it).

I was wondering if this was happening to anyone else consistently.
Turn on Vlingo In-Car.
Turn on Bluetooth headset and pair it w/ your phone.
Make a phone call and then hang up.
TURN OFF YOUR BLUETOOTH HEADSET.
WHen I do that, my phone RESETS. I think it's only w/ Vlingo in car on, regular bluetooth doesn't do that. (ALTHOUGH, my phone resets if I use gps, charge, use bluetooth, and talk at the same time....) Let me know if it's only an Incredible thing, or HTC thing, or all android thing...

Yeah, so my wife's Eris has had a weird glitch since she got it in January. Before any suggestions, we've tried factory wipe, Settings > Applications and making sure it's the default action, but still no go.
Her messaging icon on the home screen launches other random programs at will. Sometimes it's the last used program, other times it's just completely random apps. I've searched for answers but no dice. Any suggestions? We've also tried recreating a new icon for the screen, and it does the same thing.
*edit* she did have Advanced Task Killer & Advanced Task Manager installed for a time, but has since removed them. I thought maybe it was an app, but she says it has done it since she unpackaged it from the box.

My battery usage shows 96% camera, 2% cell standby, and 2% phone idle in the last 8 hours since I last charged the phone.I haven't used the camera since Saturday (2 days ago) and it isn't running when I click on the application or running services.Also find it weird that there is no usage for the Android O/S.I am not rooted or leaked and am on 2.1 with the first update but not the second update yet and camera is stock. Any idea what is up and how to fix it?Battery life appears to be around normal with 40% left (usually get 10-12 hours).

I rooted my phone the other day and today my SD card was acting up. I had another 8gb card that I swapped in there. Will it have any effect on my root and do I need to do anything to it. Or can I just go on like normal?
