So, when I go to my call logs, the times it shows for the calls is all wrong. As in, the last call showing in my call log shows Today at 8.52 pm. It is currently 12:15 PM.
I've got about 8 calls today, and they are all in the evening? The rest of the times on my phone are right, but the call log appears to be picking up some other time zone. Any thoughts?

I got my new Desire at the weekend and set up Facebook on it.
The issue I have is that my sister has our home number listed on her Facebook profile as a contact number. I have linked this profile to her contact.
I have also set up 'Home' as a person on the phone. But when the home number calls me, it shows it as being my sister calling rather than home.
Is there anyway to remove the home number from my sister's contact details without de-syncing her Facebook profile?
My phone has suddenly appeared with the wrong time and date. Also, on my call log, it has "Tomorrow" as opposed to today or yesterday. Texts messages are no longer in order. What in the world has happened to the phone? I don't understand it at all.
*It has been like this for about a day and a 1/2 now.
They display wrong times when you have the city label enables but when I have the label disabled they appear to be showing correct times. Why is this? Anyone find a fix for this?

View 6 Replies View Relatedthe phone constantly calling the wrong person from my call log, i can live with, angry as it makes me, i live with it. the phone just topped the list with this act. i had the screen locked. phone hadnt been used for almost 30 minutes. i plug it into my charger, and i hear a ringing, i look the screen is locked but lit up as it does when i plug it in, and the phone call handset picture is on, the piece of **** crap had started to call someone. and this was a person i had called almost 11 hours ago and ive since made a half dozen calls to other people. i had to pull down the drop down menu to end the call. yeah real nice getting a phone call at 1245 in the morning. **** me, im calling rogers and loosing it on some ***** call center rep tomorrow. i can see the phone acting out and freezing and lagging, but calling people on its own because i plug it in to charge.

Frustrating & embarrassing!
Suspected bluetooth getting "pressed" when stuffed in my purse - bur can't replicate (make it happen on purpose.)
Have tried changing settings - no luck.
Something about putting Droid & bluetooth in purse makes 6 redials +++ happen.
I have been facing this issue after upgrading to 2.1. I open th recent call list and click one of the recent calls but instead of dialing that contact my phone dials a different contact which is different altogather. Initially i thought that I have selected wrong contact but recently I noticed that the contact it actually called was way down in the list that it was not even visible.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis in regards to its vibration function. due to the rather soft tone of its sound (to me at least) sometimes when my phone is ringing from a message, i tend to NOT notice that a message comes in. so i use vibration , but the thing with hand cent vibration is the vibration is a one time thing only. a message comes in, it vibrates once, and thats it.. but the ring tone goes on and on.. fiddling with the vibration settings in hand cent did not help. what i want to do is make my desire vibrate a lot more times than just
once.. is this possible?
If we buy an app for one of the phones, can we add it to the other phones or do we have to pay 3 times...one for each phone?

Being my first android, i'm still against the wall configuring my yahoo and gmail on the Desire. I am able to download emails when i do a manual refresh, but what exactly are the settings "peak times" and "during" and "off-peak" times?
Currently i've set peak times to 00:00---00:00
During peak times --- every 15 mins
Off peak times --- manual
Have UltimateJuice set to enable the apn every 3 mins per hour and also when the screen is on.
After doing all this, i am only able to receive emails when i manually open the email app and let it refresh
what am i doing wrong?
I dont really need emails all day, i'd love for my yahoo and gmail to download new emails only between 9am-930am everyday. Thats enough for me
Someone please help me with the correct settings.
My partner has her Desire set to download/sync emails once a day but, it's downloading them more than that once a day. Is there perhaps another setting we're missing, or another setting which tells it how often to sync?It's set to once a day but, went off twice while we were at her mums yesterday within, id say an hour but, I think it was more like half an hour. It also notified her of more emails later on....I heard it go off about 5am this morning, to be told it was the fifth time it'd done it and so now it was on airplane mode which wasnt convenient. I managed to turn off syncing altogether (facebook gave me an option to change frequency, email didnt so i had to turn it all off in the menu i was in), which isnt convenient as she wants the weather to be updated regularly - Also an option on the list (cant remember what the third one was but, four options in total). So I'm thinking there must be somewhere else which says how frequently to update.

Person A then asked why I'd sent them a confusing sms. It was the one for Person B, Here's the kicker ... the sms that went to the wrong place, still appears in the correct person's message thread. ie it appears in the list of person B's messages, instead of person A who actually received it When I select the details of the sms, it shows the number of the person it actually went to, and no that number's not on the contact details of both people.This is pretty crappy. Some of the smses I send are quite personal, some are quite formal. I can't have them going to the wrong people, it might cause severe issuesAlthough I can't find anything about this on the HTC Desire forum, there are posts about on other Android forums going back to earlier in the year!This is a sneaky issue. View 11 Replies View RelatedOver the last few days, my Gmail has stopped syncing several times intermittently, with even a manual refresh having no effect. Coincidentally or otherwise, downloads from the Market have been taking absolutely ages to start over roughly the same period. Not sure whether this is connected, but these symptoms started at about the same time that I started getting "Low on space" warnings on status bar - though I still have about 13MB spare - surely enough to sync a few emails and complete small market downloads? Rebooting the phone seems to get Gmail working again, and kicks pending downloads from the market into life as well. Which would seem to indicate that memory is not the issue. This is a stock Desire, with the recent OTA firmware update. I am now also wondering whether this may be linked to that OTA update?

The one displayed in the widget with the weather is displaying the correct time but the one in the top right corner is showing as being 1 hour behind. I have tried using manual and auto settings for the time but all this does is change the time in the widget.
Probably something really simple but cannot figure out how to get them displaying the same.
I'm having issues with buying a paid app. I went to the market and selected buy and then put in my card details and then I kept getting emails saying my card was rejected so I went into my google account on my PC and deleted the card details and re added it. Then I tried again on my desire and again same problem.
Google say in the email that I should contact my bank but it is not a card problem as it works elsewhere.
Anyone know what's wrong?
1) Recently i have noticed that the optical track pad is not working although i can press it.
2) It has also decided that it wants to turn itself off at random times possibly twice a day.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix these??
It was late at night and I couldn't sleep so I decided to listen to some music with the HTC headphones. Then I thought I heard something outside, so I pressed pause on the headphones and then I repeatedly pressed play, I am a really impatient person and the music stopped and the phone started calling someone. After some tests I found out that the phone calls the last person you called if you press play 5 times. Is it a bug? Couse i really dont like the feature and im sure people dont like being called at 3 in the night either.

i think this is due to the timestamp on the 3rd parties phone being a minute or so out.
Went to install Need For Speed shift on my phone a few days ago, but it wouldn't install due to space. I went in and removed a few apps, one of which was my co pilot Sat Nav, which I think was 25mb alone. NFS still wouldn't install so I removed a few more apps. Suddenly my I got a message saying space on phone was low. This did not appear even before I removed apps including co pilot. When I check my memory it says there is 12mb free. It should be a lot more than that with copilot off the phone. So I should have a lot more free than that and should not be getting these messages. Is there any way to get the phone to recheck free space?

Whenever I click the "Caches Nearby" button, it displays "Sorry, c:geo failed to download caches because of wrong login informations."
I have since been back to the geocaching website, have double-checked my credentials and re-entered my username and password into c:geo, but to no avail.
I have had my HTC Desire for 3 or 4 weeks now and I am determined to like it. I'm stuck with it for 24 months so I have to!! However, synching with my outlook contacts and calendar seems to be a very hit and miss affair. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I am running Vista 32 bit on a Vaio laptop with outlook 2003 (I hope to move to google apps soon but it feels like a big job to do it so i need enough time to work it all out). I downloaded HTC synch from the web but that didn't work so I used the version on my phone and that seemed to work better! I am using HTC Sync, version: 2.0.28. I always start HTC Synch first and then connect the phone. i select the synch option on the phone, but it usually fails to connect at that point. If I then a wait a little, and if I am lucky, it seems to connect itself and the Application installer icon pops up on the HTC Synch screen. then i can try again to synch. And sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This is a lot of messing about - i wish it would just work - is there anything i can do? Also, when i receive texts from kid's school or my bank, the phone seems to assign random names from my contacts list. How weird is that? Any ideas for a cure? I have also found that it can be extremely slow to load videos on youtube. at the weekend i was with someone who had a iphone on the same network in the same place and they had no problem. Grrrrr!! often when it fianlly gets the video and starts to play it it stops halfway through - data is obviously not coming through quickly enough. Is there anything i can do to help this. Finally I am very disappointed that it can't make phone calls as well as my old Nokia 6230. same place, same network, perfect on the old phone, dropping out and bad reception on the HTC. The old phone worked fine in the local supermarket, The HTC simply says NO NETWORK. Have i got a bad phone or is this typical?
