I was looking for the apps that are incompatible with Froyo. I was wondering if any of the following are on there because as soon as I un-installed them, my up time compared to awake time regulated again.

I don't know about you, but I feel a bit screwed by the fact that Android Marked wont even show me apps that haven't explicitly stated that they're 'OK' to run on the smaller screen.I want to use Google Voice, and a ton of other small apps I used to run on my G1. Where can I safely get them from? Is there some way to "override" Android Marketplace and just let me try apps?
Finally... I have an unlocked Tattoo, is there a way for me to force-upgrade my firmware to Android 2.0? I'm a developer so I can probably handle the technical magicks, but could you point me to a good source of info on this subject?
I am using Eclipse helios and android sdk r_06.But the phone where i am want to run my application has platform 1.6.how do make this application run on that phone with that platform because when i installed the application it gave me error "incompatible platform","package corrupted","package not found".how do i make it compatible?also in eclipse when i changed target name as "Android 1.5" it gave me error in res folder tellin "invalid resources directory"

View 1 Replies View RelatedI think I may know why this is happening, but I don't feel like doing a full nandroid reinstall and losing my data before I ask. I'm getting "incompatible update" errors when trying to reinstall Facebook and Mixzing. Now, I had those apps installed and working on my previous ERE25 based ROM, however, I was at the time using the Dark 24K theme, which modified them. When I went to ESE53, I didn't nandroid, I just used update.zip, and that of course reinstalled the stock theme, which may be causing the problem. It's not showing those two apps in my installed apps list. When I check them in the market, they show "installed", but I am able to redownload and reinstall them, I just get the error during install.

I have the famous problem with the shared user id. Whenever I try to install it, it says "Incompatible with other application(s) using the same shared user ID". I have tried putting it directly to /system/app, and I also have followed this guide [URL] ....., but with no result. It seems to rebuild this file in the reboot, so it's useless. I have a chinese phone without CWM recovery, so I can't flash anything, but I do have root. How to install Google play services in any way!

As far as I am aware there is no way for the market to auto install to the sd, so unless the developer lets you know in the changelog (which doesn't always happen) its a manual process finding them through the manage applications list. Just got my Desire and I am so happy to see how much faster it is compare with the Legend, and I specially like the addition of the wifi hotspot this is really a must have app nowadays. I give the phone 4 out of 5 stars, due to un-closeable apps and unable to attach a hand strap this is really stupid design.I find some apps can't be closed even with task manager, one of them is the build in FM radio, it won't close even when I unplug the earphone, there is indeed a shutdown button on the app, but click on it has no function, if I force it close with task manager another instance of it will start instead. There are many apps auto start by default with no reason, I use task manager to shut them down to save the resources. IMHO, by the time Android has become stable the Desire will be retired and excluded from the update

Not that I know of without getting the popup every half an hour. I purchased this phone outright when it came out and want to get a droid 2 and was thinking about ways the exchange this phone. I guess what I am trying to say is; can I go to Verizon and say that they either need to change my phone back to the purchased item or take a return and give me a refund?I am ASSUMING this and wanted to know if anyone knows of any laws about this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAlright so I just downloaded the Froyo OTA update.I don't want to do anything too crazy with my phone, however there are a couple of things I would like to change.
1. Delete HTC lock screen, I read if you delete the htclockscreen.apk it will just use the standard "vanilla" froyo one
2. Delete all of the bloatware apps (Sprint Nav, TV, Zone, Nascar, Football, etc)
3. Wifi Tether
Will I be able to do this with just root or do I need a custom ROM? I have read through XDA and on here but I am in over my head. I'm used to jailbreaking iPhones in one step or just installing Preware.I really don't want to have to reset my phone since I have finally got it set up and looking the way I like.Can someone point me in the direction of what I need to do (unrevoked?) to enable the three things I listed? Because I am lost with rooting and unlocking nand and custom ROMs and kernels.Is it even possible to root the OTA right now, or do I need to wait?
Do I have to turn on auto update individually for every app or is there a master setting I can change?

Im not rooted, using the RC, no ATK running or anything. Kinda curious if this could be part of whats causing battery issues? Yes its a long shot I know, but is anyone aware of this and/or is it possible to disable?
*Yes I seen Froyo was supposed to handle closing app differently, more so looking for a way to disable this, and if need be manually use an ATK type program as needed to get my battery life back to anything near what it was.
I added the Flash function to Froyo I added SDMove for moving apps What else is available w/ 2.2

View 19 Replies View RelatedOkay so what i am trying to figure out is how i can disable some of this crap from startup on my phone i am running the cyanogenmod-6-extblue-82610-- and you get all this stupid crap i dont use that runs in the background i have tried autorun killer and it only gives me like three of the things i want disabled. and for some reason this amazon crap keeps coming up i dont want nor do i need it so why does it keep running. also calendar storage,news and weather,voice search,and there are more that startup that i dont ever use please advise how i can disable them on startup?
